Kick Twenty Seven: Time for college

It's been a week since you guys left, and it's been hard on us all. Mira, Juvia, and I have been packing our things to get ready for Harvard. Levy and Erza have been packing for Yale. I guess this is always how things turn out, huh? Harvard is in America, so is Yale. Here we are, sitting in Magnolia, not really sure what we're going to do once we get there. But seriously, what were you thinking? Just breaking up with us in the middle of everyone at the train station? Gray purposing to Juvia then leaving? We'll love you till the day we die, so why? Well, guess I'll have to write later, we're going to say goodbye to Lisanna and Dan now, right before we get on our plane. Love you Natsu.

Lucy.

Lucy sat up straight, her messy bun sitting up on her head with two curly bangs hanging down. She was dressed in a flannel shirt with some ripped jeans and her combat boots. Mira sat in the car for a minute, looking in her mirror at Juvia, Levy, and Erza.  

"You all know this is the last time we're going to be in this car, in Magnolia, together, right?" Mira said quietly.

"No, we could always visit, all of our parents are here anyway." Levy insisted.

"She's right, we can still come back." Juvia smiled, looking at Mira.

"I think Mira means to tell us that this moment will be the past within the next few minutes we get out of this car." Erza spoke up.

"Right. Well, ladies. Let's keep our cellular devices in the car then." Lucy said, her voice really hoarse.

"Mk, let's go." Mira got out off the car, putting her keys in her pocket.

The girls walked up the stone pathway, leading to the part of the cemetery Lisanna and Dan we're buried in. Lucy kneeled down, laying some white lilies on Lisanna's grave while Levy laid some roses on Dan's.

"After all this time, I haven't seen why you did what you did. Now I do. You were jealous of me, weren't you? I had Natsu, you had no one." Lucy's voice stopped, her voice almost gone from all the crying and wailing she had done prior.

"We've forgiven you Lisanna, and even if it won't mean much now that you lay here to rest, I love you." Mira added.

"Dan, I had known you since we were little kids, but never did I think you would go as far as to kidnap me once I came out of the stalls in the restroom. Now I see why. Just like Lisanna, you were jealous of Natsu, but you and Lisanna joined forces to get two different people. I may not be able to speak for Natsu, since he isn't-" Lucy stopped, some tears coming down her dead eyes as she gripped the dirt.

"He-He's forgiven you Dan. I know he has. Now please, make sure Natsu makes it home...alive."

Mira grabbed Lucy's shoulder, lightly squeezing it. Lucy turned to look at her best friend, hugging her. All the girls stayed with Lisanna and Dan as Mira and Lucy made their way back to the car.

Lucy shakily opened the door, sitting down as she cried for the hundredth time. Natsu was gone, somewhere in a camp for the Magnolia Military, and he had to run the risk of getting killed, no, slaughtered.

Lucy then did something she never thought to do of, she sat there in Mira's passenger seat, praying to the lord that her pink-headed solider would come home safe and sound.

Mira watched sadly as her best friend sat in her car, wailing and praying to the lord very loudly. She smiled at the same time though, only because she knew Lucy was so worried she would go as far as to pray.

Mira looked to the girls, giving them a signal that it was time to go. The girls piled into the car, saying silent goodbyes to the Magnolia Garden Cemetery. 

"Lu," Levy spoke quietly, gripping Lucy's arm.

"I-I miss Gajeel too." Lucy looked back at Levy, giving Levy a warm smile.

"I know you do Levy." Lucy put her hand over Levy's facing forward.

After a while, the girls reached the airport, taking their luggage out of Mira's car. Mira handed her keys to her father, hugging him tightly before waiting. Mira watched as the girls said goodbyes to her parents, and how Lucy, Levy, and Juvia said goodbye to Gajeel, Gray, and Natsu's parents.

Lucy walked up to Mira. "Where's Laxus?"

"He's waiting for us at Boston University." Mira smiled at Lucy, slinging an arm over Lucy's shoulders, squeezing her.

"Lucy, I love you." 

"Love you too Mira." 

"Alright, we can check bags together, then ride the train, then this is it." Levy said, her eyes filled to the brim with tears.

"Don't cry, we're only two hours away from each other."

"I know Lucy, I know."

Erza smiled at the girls, bringing it in for a group hug.

"Levy, if we need to talk about... you know who, call Juvia and I." Lucy remarked, watching as Levy's happy expression faded away a little. 

"I know Lu,"

Erza clapped her hands together, "Let's get bags checked, and let's be on our way, okay?"

All of them got in line, waiting for their bags to be checked. Each one went through baggage fine, all of them walking down to the train. As they sat on the train, they conversed how they would get together, and how they would meet periodically.

Lucy then got an idea and snapped her fingers, "We can meet halfway, you two drive an hour, and us three drive an hour!"

Juvia then also followed suit, "And, we can sneak you into our dorms for sleepovers on weekends!"

That's when the whole group erupted in laughter, "This will definitely work,"
