If it hadn't been for the brief flashes of the lingering lightning in the sky, they never would have seen the Crystal Island at all.

It wasn't too far off, but it glittered dangerously in the night sky. The waves were still choppy after the storm and the Kraken. It would be difficult to keep on course to the glittering landmass without running ashore completely, but there was a good chance Divine Intervention would keep them all from dying from something as simple as a ship wreck.

(at least that was the hope)

"I have no clue where we are," Cooper confessed admist an obviously pained wince, "SwordSlayer kept me below deck most of the time, to converse with prisoners. I've never heard of an island made of crystal."

But there it was, just before them. An entire island, that refracted the spare lights like glass off the shores and the trees. Even from far off, the mutants could see something castle like in the middle of it.

Cooper glanced around at the rest of them, where they had gathered on the deck of the ship so they wouldn't have to move the purple eyed boy or the dethawing Nate. They all were still drained and tired from time traveling to worrying about the people at home (whenever home was these days).

"The question is," Cooper said, "Do you want to chance the idea that whoever is here is going to try and kill us?"
