Of all the things that could have happened after the slim defeat of the Kraken, this was quite possibly the worst: Ash, still weak from breaking the rage of a massive monster, held hostage by the dangerous Captain Swordslayer, with a knife to her throat and one to her gut and several floating omniously behind them.

the rain had lessened just a bit, but the floors of the Valiant where still soaked and the sky still thundered. the Captain seemed to be the only Pirate still aboard the ship, but that didn't make him any less dangerous.

He snarled in the other language that was impossible to understand.

Cooper took great efforts to lift his head from his prone position on the near Jax. "He says...." Coopers eyes flashed a wine colored purple, "He's going to kill all of you."

"Well there's a surprise!" Jax yelled.

There was little they could do, with what small power they had left. And even if they did have large amounts of power, the Captain was using Ash as almost a human sheild. There was a good chance any attacks they made would hit her instead of their enemy.

Nate Hummer laid motionless on the deck, soaked to the core, but the frost had finally melted off his bangs. He was still unconscious though, still useless in the fight. His watch was silent.

The ship swayed in the currents in a stand off that ended with a grotesque smile from the enraged Captain Swordslayer. He let out a short three bursts of a whistle.

"Duck!" Cooper yelled.

The swords floating in the background suddenly moved with all the intention and might of bullets. They were aimed at the mutants.
