Most plants are common crops and trees regularly found across the lands of most kingdoms. However, the Light Flower is a unique flower that can only be found in the Light Kingdom. It emits a soft white light and tends to grow in dark, damp places. It's rare to find but is a well-known symbol of hope and has unique magical properties. There is also what is known as Light Fruit, which can be found growing on trees in the forests that surround the palace. They're bright white and come in different shapes and sizes. They are said to taste like a fond memory.

Population and Politics

Royal Family

Queen Azura - Alice Patten
King Bryn - Trevor Sellers
Aurora/Evangeline - Lea Seydoux
Karter - Max Beauchamp
Drew - Natalie Dormer

The Light Kingdom royals are seen as powerful symbols of the kingdom and light magic. They reflect their kingdom values and most citizens looks up to them. However, not much was known about the King and Queen. While Karter patrolled the city streets and Drew performed for the townsfolk, Azura and Bryn were more of a mystery. They regularly travel across the kingdom, bringing back stories and wares but few details.

The Queen was beloved, a friendly face. But few knew more about the King than his love for the Queen. This was because Bryn's past was kept secret. He wasn't born into royalty or nobility. He was the Queen's servant growing up. But he left, returning disguised as a noble when Azura was looking for suitors. She recognised him immediately and picked him. The two were married soon after.

While many are told and believe Karter to be their first-born child, there have been rumours the King and Queen had a child before him. And they did. Her name was Aurora. She inherited her father's powers as a seer and quickly became wanted by unfavourable groups. Azura and Bryn sent her away for her safety. And with her she took the power of the Light Kingdom.

History and Conflicts
The Light Kingdom has always tried to avoid conflict and maintain peaceful relationships with their fellow kingdoms. Since they believe in marrying for love they haven't secured any alliances through marriage in a long time. They have neutral relationships with most kingdoms but the Summer Kingdom and Ocean Kingdom have been considered allies up until recent events. The Sun Kingdom would be a close follower. Due to their differences in values and traditions, the Dark Kingdom is one place the Light Kingdom could never get along with. While they won the first feud, the threat of war has always been looming. Kingdoms that side with the Dark Kingdom tend to be avoided.

Economics and Resources
Due to the weather and landscape, crops and agriculture are a bountiful resource of the Light Kingdom's. They have fields of plants and open plains for animals to roam and grow, which are later harvested, sold and traded among the Kingdoms. They don't trade or sell to the Dark Kingdom, but will trade and sell limited amounts of goods to those allied with Dark Kingdom. However, their main resource, as the kingdom name suggests, is light. They make orbs containing light and send them out to other kingdoms to provide illumination that requires fewer resources than fire.

Hierarchy
The Light Kingdom hierarchy consists of the royalty, the nobility, and the commoners. The nobility and commoners are sometimes referred to as the upper-class and lower-class but such descriptions aren't truly accurate. While there is still a difference between the people, the royals have worked to create less of a divide among the commoners over many years. It is also uncommon for royalty and nobility to look down upon them. Those that do tend to keep it to themselves due to risk of public shame. Most nobles tend to work with and help the commoners. They teach each other valuable lessons. The royalty are also regularly seen among their people to assure their comfort and livelihoods are up to standard.

Culture

General
The general culture of the Light Kingdom is at its heart, simply a reflection of their values. Kindness and harmony is expected among all people no matter the class difference of royalty, nobility and commoners. They want what's best for everyone.

While their not oppressive of 'darker' emotions, acting out against others is typically frowned upon. If someone is caught being rude or looking down to others the punishment isn't severe like arrest or execution but closer to public shame. However, they are always given the option to speak to someone and apologise for their behaviour.

Most punishments in the Light Kingdom are usually public trials or just arrest time in the dungeons. There's nothing too severe since they believe in second chances and forgiveness before torture or execution.

Kingdom Colours and Values

Colours: Gold, silver, white and beige.
Values: Kindness, gentility and harmony.

The Lightbringers

The Lightbringers of the Light Kingdom were a small group of elite warriors. They disappeared after the first war and haven't been heard of since, simply becoming a rumour. But Lightbringers were knights handpicked by the royals of the kingdom who were then gifted immense strength and power even if they weren't proficient with magic. With that they also pledged their lives to the Kingdom and could only reach an end if fighting for the Kingdom or its people. Engaging in romantic relationships was taboo for Lightbringers. While Lightbringers seem more myth than reality, a royal of the Light Kingdom could still bless someone with the title and power of a Lightbringer and return the warriors to the Kingdom.

Art/Entertainment
The Light Kingdom is known for their balls and masquerades. They host at least one a month that's open to everyone of all classes. There are some that occur for royals and nobles alone. Balls and masquerades are the welcoming entertainment when visitors from other kingdoms show up.

Visual arts and music are popular art forms among the streets. There's a gallery in the palace to showcase people's works and monthly competition to see whose artworks will be added. Markets are hosted in towns for people to showcase, trade and sell their art. Buskers are popular among city streets and among markets.

There once was a singular tournament for Lightbringers to showcase their strength and protection.

Magic
The Light Kingdom's main type of magic is light magic. Light magic involves controlling and manipulating light, providing warmth, and has some healing properties. While it originates from a good-natured kingdom it can be both powerful and dangerous depending on the user.

Other common base magic types in the Light Kingdom include healing magic and various types of elemental magic. Seer magic and telepathy have been rumoured to exist among royals.

The Light Kingdom does not discriminate against any types of magic. All are welcome and spaces are provided for people to practice any kind of magic they are interested in and wish to learn. However, while not illegal, dark magic is frowned upon and seen as taboo. It is not commonly taught or practiced among the people of the Light Kingdom.

Fashion
Most Light Kingdom fashion across all classes is modest and light.

Royalty is elegant and regal, with fancy dresses and suits. Most of their clothes and jewellery have gold accents with pristine whites to identify their status. Nobility is similar to the royals. They have silver accents to identify their class.

Commoners are more likely to be seen in light academia and cottagecore-esque clothing types. They wear a mix of whites and beiges. They're styles tend to be for comfort and practicality.
