Arthur stood behind the hospital room door, peeking through the windows, his wife holding his son with an everlasting smile etched on her face. He took a deep breath in, he felt like the devil as he knew he will destroy her happiness, but it's not like they had a choice.

"Molly, I found a way to pay for the hospital bill," Arthur announced as he barged into the room.

"Really?" Molly turned her head to face her husband, Arthur taking a seat nearby. "Fantastic! What did you do?"

When Arthur didn't answer, Molly cast a look all over Arthur from top-to-bottom, her eyes landing suspiciously at the scroll. "Arthur, what is that scroll?"

"Molly-"

"Answer me!" Molly intercepted him. "What is that scroll?"

"I had no choice-" Arthur bit his lower lip. "This is the only way I can think of to help you."

"What did you do?"

Arthur had to say, his wife's growl scared him. It made her sound like a wild animal rather than the delicate, patient woman he married. Arthur sighed, he stalled long enough. He needed her signature for this.

"I met a very nice couple," Arthur started slowly. "They are Rhys and Camilla Rosier. They had two children, Evan and Druella. Druella is already married but Evan had died. Camilla can't get pregnant anymore."

"That's horrible." Despite having an intense dislike towards the former family of Death Eaters, she can't help but feel sorry for the family.

"They want to adopt a baby," Arthur revealed, and Molly can't help but hold hers tighter away from her husband, staring at him like he's some kind of alien.

"No."

"They have a mansion, they are real estate agents, they are economically wealthy and they are more than happy to pay for your hospital bills and compensation payment for him," Arthur tried to convince his wife, but she kept shaking her head. "We need to pay these bills. We still have two sons at home-"

"No!" Molly cuts. "I'll never sign it!"

"Listen, Molly!" He insisted. "The Rosiers can pay for your hospital bills. They already had two children and they will love our son just the same." Arthur hands Molly the adoption papers. "Our son will never experience what we experienced. Just sign it!"

"I hate you!" Molly condemned with such a loud noise, the baby stirred. Arthur took a sharp breath in as he watched Molly rock him back to sleep. "You sold our son! I hate you!"

"Sign it!" Arthur exclaimed, ignoring her damnation. She never said that before, but yet again, he'd never sold any of his sons before. Arthur kissed Molly's cheeks gently, his lips feeling wet because of her tears. He guided her hand that isn't holding her son to the scroll. "We need this, Molly! We need this."

Molly sobbed before she took a deep breath in, nodding to her husband as she handed her son to her husband, intending to sign the scroll. Arthur took a sharp breath as he stared at the baby in his arms, his biological son he'll lose sight in a few hours. He lost the right to call himself the baby's father the second he signed the scroll, but he'll be damned if he didn't relish every moment that he can share with him. Arthur smiled as he brushed his fingers across the baby's cheeks, such soft and red cheeks. Arthur landed a soft kiss on the baby's forehead that's starting to show an inkling of the infamous Weasley carrot hair.

"Daddy loves you," Arthur whispered and he can't help but let a tear fall from his left eye, wetting his cheeks with his grief of not seeing the baby again. The baby he'd wanted to see for such a long time, just to have him taken away in such a short time- he barely even got to know anything about what should've been his third-born. He had prepared everything for him- added a room for him in the Burrow, bought him baby clothes, got some formula (Molly doesn't think she can purely breastfeed Charlie with a newborn at hand)- hell, he'd even prepared a name for him! This is so unfair!

"I hope you're happy with yourself-" Molly glared at her husband as she handed him the scroll, immediately taking back the baby they both had lost custody to, looking away to face the baby instead.

"Molly-"

"Fuck you!" Molly shouted, which caused the baby to cry. Molly decided to give him milk from her breast, it will be her last. "Go!"

It hurts his heart to hear his wife evict him, but he knew he deserved it. If only he never sold their biological baby, this'll never happen. But what must he do? What can he do to help his wife? They have two sons already at home waiting for them to come home. They've been waiting for the baby also, but when they grow up, they'll understand. The baby will only be away from them for seventeen years, he might even meet Bill and Charlie in Hogwarts.

"This baby- we won't legally meet him until he's seventeen-" Artur kissed his wife's hand. "If he later goes to Hogwarts- and if Bill and Charlie will also, they will meet way before, eleven years from now. We will tell Bill and Charlie of this day before they leave for Hogwarts, to always look for a redheaded Rosier."

"Yeah-" Molly snorted as she wiped away her tears. "We can ask for his pictures through Bill or Charlie."

"I'll be sending the scroll-" Arthur kissed Molly's still wet cheeks, brushing his fingers towards the newborn baby's long, sharp, thin fingers. Such beautiful fingers he'll never touch again.

Looking down, Arthur started to part ways with who should've been his baby. Without looking back, he directed himself towards the door, ignoring his tears that seem to keep falling from his eyes, not even attempting to stop then as he stumbled upon London's floo. Taking a handful of floo powder, he throws it to the ground whilst enunciating 'Rosier Mansion!'

"Sir Weasley, yes?" Arthur was immediately greeted by the house-elf of the mansion. "Master and Mistress Rosier have prepared to go, let Livvy announce your arrival. Where is the signed scroll?"

"Here-" Arthur answered with a small voice, handing over the signed scroll to Livvy who accepted it. Arthur attempted to smile, drying his tears.

"Don't cry, Sir Weasley!" Livvy tried to comfort him and Arthur can't help but smile at her. "The baby will be raised comfortably! The baby will never go hungry! Livvy will make sure of that!"

"Thank you," Arthur nodded at the house elf and Livvy smiled brighter than a thousand suns. Livvy snapped her fingers, Arthur presumed to give the signed scroll to the Rosiers.

Not long later, Rhys and Camilla appeared from the staircase, Rhys holding a wooden baby basket whilst Camilla is holding what seemed to be a money bag. Once they reached downstairs, Camilla gave the money bag to Arthur.

"2488 galleons, 13 sickles, and 19 knuts as arranged," Camilla revealed and Arthur takes it. He gave a nod at the Rosiers.

"Shall we?"
