JP (Original) POV

[I opened my eyes and I saw that I wasn't in the conscious I was in before. I recognized that I was in Duel Academy. I must have been pulled here. Why? I do not know. I'm taken to the Chancellor's office. I notice it's not Sheppard but Leo Akaba. This change happened because of my meddling in the dimensions. He talks about the Sacred Beasts and why Duel Academy was created. Basically they're other versions of the Egyptian Gods but not as powerful. I am given a key and half of a broken necklace. Several others are given keys as well. It's our duty to protect them. Of course I already knew that this was going to happen and I knew who would attack first. I had to ready for him. It's night time and my necklace begins to glow. Suddenly Alexis runs into my room]

Alexis: JP, are you okay?

[We are then transported into the volcano where a man with a mask is waiting]

3rd Person POV

Alexis: JP, where are we?

JP: (Thoughts) I knew exactly where we are but I played along. (Out loud) I don't know. It's a weird dream.

[Lava jumps and startles Alexis and JP]

Alexis: Or nightmare.

Voice: It's neither!

[Nightshroud appears. JP knows who it is and who he really is but plays along]

JP: Who are you?

Nightshroud: The name's Nightshroud and I'm the one taking that key from you!

Alexis: They don't waste time do they.

Nightshroud: Also at stake is your very soul. (Holds up blank card) The loser of this duel has his soul locked away in this card. And just to make sure that do you do duel...I've brought a guest.

JP: Who?

Nightshroud: Your girlfriend of course. Celina.

Celina: JP, help me!

[JP looks to see Celina sitting in some type of energy orb in the center of the lava]

JP: Celina, are you okay?

Celina: I'm fine for now. It's just very hot in here.

Nightshroud: You better hurry because let's just say that orb isn't built to last.

[JP eyes begin to glow as he is enraged]

JP: No one messes with Celina! No one! You hear me? Activate your duel disk and get ready to lose!

Nightshroud: Eager to die are we? Very well.

[Nightshroud activates his duel disk]

JP: (Thoughts) I know what deck he uses.

[JP reaches into his pocket to find his Red Eyes Deck]

JP: I guess it's time to use this.

[JP places his Red Eyes Deck in his Duel Disk. JP activates his duel disk]

JP: Get your game on!

Alexis: (Thoughts) I never thought he'd go this far for Celina. He did save me once but this is different.

Celina: (Thoughts) I know you can win this, JP. Don't worry. I'm not going anywhere.

Turn 1-JP

JP-8000 LP/Nightshroud-8000 LP

JP: You'll regret messing with Celina. I'll start. My turn. I place a card face down. I summon The Black Stone of Legend in ATK Mode!

The Black Stone of Legend: Level 1- 0 ATK/ 0 DEF

Nightshroud: You summoned a rock?

JP: It's like your Red Eyes Black Chick. Only better.

Nightshroud: You mean?

JP: That's right! I have a Red Eyes Deck! I know your deck in and out! Let's see who the real master of the Red Eyes is. I activate my monsters special ability. By sending it the Graveyard I can summon from my deck: Red Eyes Black Flare Dragon!

Red Eyes Black Flare Dragon: Level 7- 2400 ATK/ 2000 DEF

Nightshroud: It's just a Red Eyes Black Dragon with a fancy name.

JP: For now. Turn end.

Turn 2-Nightshroud

JP-8000 LP/Nightshroud-8000 LP

Nightshroud: It's my turn. I draw.

JP: Trap card, open: Return of the Red Eyes!

Nightshroud: What does that do?

JP: All in time! Make your move.

Nightshroud: Urk. I place a card face down and end my turn.

Turn 3-JP

JP-8000 LP/Nightshroud-8000 LP

JP: You're scared to set a monster or attack so you set a card. I'm 99% sure that I know what that card is but I could be wrong. My turn. Draw. I summon Red Eyes Black Flare Dragon that's on my field?

Nightshroud: You summoned a monster that's already on your field?

JP: It's called a Gemini Summon. Now my monster gains a special ability but you'll have to wait and see what it is. Battle. Red Eyes Black Flare Dragon, attack him directly!

Nightshroud: Trap card, open: Negate Attack! This card...

JP: Are you seriously explaining to me what that card does?

Nightshroud: Yeah. Do you even know what it does?

JP: It's in the name. Turn end.

Turn 4-Nightshroud

Nightshroud. My turn. I draw. I place a card face down and end my turn.

JP: Are you even going to try? My turn. I draw. I place a card face down. I summon Red Eyes Retro Dragon in ATK Mode!

Red Eyes Retro Dragon: Level 4- 1700 ATK/Dragon

Nightshroud: How many forms of Red Eyes do you have?

JP: Clearly more than you! I'm the master of the Red Eyes. Now this monster has a special trick. It's just like your Red Eyes Black Chick. I send it to the Graveyard...and never mind. I did that wrong.

Nightshroud: Hah! Your such a failure. How about after I beat you, I spend a night with Celina.

[JP is enraged even more]

JP: You so even touch a hair on her head I'll beat you death with my duel disk! Battle. Red Eyes, attack him directly!

Nightshroud: Ahh!

Nightshroud-8000 LP - - - 5600 LP

JP: It gets better. I end my battle phase! Now the special ability of Red Eyes activates! You take another 2400 LP of damage!

Nightshroud: How is that fair?

JP: It isn't supposed to be. Red Eyes has to stand up to Blue Eyes somehow. (Thoughts) And I'm the master of both!

JP: Turn end.

Turn 6-Nightshroud

Nightshroud: You won't beat me! I will take your key! My turn. I draw! From my hand I activate a spell: Mystical Space Typhoon! Say goodbye to your face down. I end my turn with a face down.

JP 7- JP

JP: Now I know you're not trying. My turn. I draw. This will be fun. From my hand I activate a spell: Red Eyes Fusion! Now I can fusion summon using materials from my hand, deck, or field as material. I'll use the Red Eyes Black Dragon Summoned Skull from my deck.

Nightshroud: How is that fair?

JP: It isn't.

Nightshroud: Those monsters fuse the Black Skull Dragon.

JP: I got something worse in mind. I fuse together Summoned Skull and Red Eyes Black Dragon! I fusion summon! Archfiend Black Skull Dragon!

Nightshroud: What is that?

JP: The monster to end you! This monster's name becomes Red Eyes Black Dragon! Battle. Now when this monster battles, you can't activate any spell or trap cards!

Nightshroud: How am I supposed to defend myself?

[As JP ends the duel, Nightshroud's mask falls off and his soul is put into the card. Everyone who had a key had gathered to watch what happened. Celina is freed and runs in JP's arms. She did something he didn't suspect and kissed him. She blushed. It turns out that Nightshroud was controlling someone. That someone was Atticus Rhodes, Alexis's missing brother. JP wraps his arms around Alexis to comfort her. JP knew that this was far from over]
