JP (Original) POV

[I am moved conscious again. This time to my Syncro Counterpart. I know why I'm here. Today is my finals duel versus Akiza. I plan to talk her before the duel. We did go on a date. A small coffee date (I don't drink coffee) but it was a date. I walk outside the arena where we planned to meet before the duel]

Akiza POV

[Sayer, I don't care what you say. I'll never betray the Arcadia movement. You're my family. But does that mean I'm not allowed to happy? I love JP will all my heart. I know he sad and broken and I want to fix that for him. I'm not losing JP and you will not separate us]

3rd Person POV

[JP and Akiza meet at the meeting spot]

JP: Well, this is it. The finals. The winner faces Jack.

Akiza: I know. I don't want you to hold because I'm your girlfriend.

JP: I didn't plan on it.

Akiza: Sayer isn't too happy about what's going on between us.

JP: I know but that won't stop me.

Akiza: Same here. I love you, JP. I know your broken from losing your brothers but I want to fix that.

JP: Thank you, Akiza. I needed that.

Akiza: Now, let's have a great duel. Black Rose Dragon versus Blue Eyes.

JP: We'll see.

[Akiza kisses JP and walks away]

JP: (Thoughts) I'm sorry, Luna, but I need to use that deck.

[The duel is about to start. JP and Akiza face off against one another. The announcer announces their arrival]

Announcer: In this corner, we have the master of the Black Rose Dragon! The woman who is making a name for herself! Please welcome, Akiza!

[The crowd starts to boo her. JP expects her to be upset but is surprised that she has a smile on her face. JP is then introduced]

Announcer: Now please welcome the master of the Blue Eyes White Dragon! Today is revealing a brand new deck and changing his name to the Dragon Master!

[Everyone in the stadium is shocked. Especially Luna]

Luna: I hope you know what you're doing, JP.

Goodwin: What does he mean by new deck? Is he the signer that we've been missing?

Announcer: Please welcome the only man who has gotten within a turn of beating Jack Atlas, the long lost Kaiba brother, JP Kaiba!

[The crowd roars in excitement. JP looks at Akiza]

JP: Akiza, I want you to block out everyone and focus on me!

Akiza: I'm not worried about the crowd. I know you're my friend so I have nothing to worry about. I'll always be by your side!

[The crowd begins to boo again but Akiza continues to smile]

Sayer: You're making a big mistake, Akiza.

Announcer: This is it, folks! The winner of this duel faces off against Jack Atlas! Let's get this show on the road!

[JP and Akiza activate their duel disks]

JP: Let's rev it up!

JP/Akiza: Let's duel.

Turn 1-Akiza

JP-8000 LP/Akiza-8000 LP

Akiza: Ladies first in this match! My turn. I place a card face down in DEF Mode and another card face down and end my turn.

Announcer: The Black Rose starts strategically. What will JP do?

Turn 2-JP

JP-8000 LP/Akiza-8000 LP

JP: (Thoughts) I have to win this without bringing out my mark. (Out loud) My turn. Draw. I place a card face down. I place Timegazer Magician and Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon in my Pendulum Zone! I'm taking control of this duel starting now!

Annoucner: What is this? A new summoning technique?

JP: I can now summon monsters from Levels 5 through 7 all at the same time! Swing Far, Pendulum! Carve the Arc of Victory! My monster is ready to swing into action! Turn up the heat, Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon!

Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon: Scale 4- 2500 ATK/ 2000 DEF

Announcer: Look at this! JP summons a Level 7 monster without tributing! It's also a dragon that we've never seen before!

JP: Battle. When I have Odd Eyes in my Pendulum Zone and a Pendulum Monster battles, you can't activate any trap cards! Odd Eyes, attack her face down! Spiral Flame Strike!

Akiza: Hmm.

JP: Turn end. Now the special ability of my Odd Eyes in my Pendulum Zone activates. By sending it to the Extra deck I can add Stargazer Magician to my hand!

Announcer: JP brings out a new summoning technique and brings out a new dragon! What will the Black Rose do?

Turn 3-Akiza

JP-8000 LP/Akiza-8000 LP

Akiza: You're not holding back! I like it. My turn. I draw. From my hand I activate two spells. First, I activate Miracle Fertilizer. Then I activate Foolish Burial. Foolish Burial allows to send one my monster from my deck to the Graveyard! Now I activate Miracle Fertizlier! This allows me to bring back Hedge Guard from my Graveyard! Now I return that card to my hand so I can summon Fallen Angle of Roses in DEF Mode!

Fallen Angel of Roses: Level 7- 2400 ATK/ 1300 DEF

Announcer: The Black Rose counters JP's impressive summoning technique with her own and brings out a Level 7 monster. But she has put it in DEF mode. Not much good it can do.

Akiza: I end my turn.

Turn 4-JP

JP: My turn. Draw. I place Stargazer Magician in my Pendulum Zone! I'm taking control of this duel starting now! I can now summon monsters from Levels 2 through 7 all at the same time! Swing far, Pendulum! Carve the Arc of Victory! My monsters are ready to swing into action! Welcome back Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon! Welcome to the field Flash Knight!

Flash Knight: Scale 7- Level 4- 1800 ATK/ 600 DEF

Announcer: Amzaing! JP summons two monsters at once! And he has a second dragon!

Akiza: You have a second dragon?

JP: It's smart to have a second copy of a monster in your deck. Battle. Now when I have these two monsters in my Pendulum Zone and a Pendulum Monster activates, you can't activate any spell or trap cards!

Akiza: I thought that monster went to the Graveyard!

JP: Pendulum Monsters don't go the Graveyard. They go to the Extra Deck.

Akiza: Uh oh.

JP: Flash Knight, destroy her Fallen Angel of Roses!

Akiza: I activate the special ability of my Hedge Guard. By sending it the Graveyard, my monster will not be destroyed this turn!

Announcer: The Black Rose saves her monster for this turn but will it be enough in the end?

JP: Turn end.

Turn 5-Akiza

JP-8000 LP/Akiza-8000 LP

Akiza: My turn. I draw. I switch my Fallen of Angel of Roses two ATK Mode! Now attack his Flash Knight!

JP: Trap card, open: Mirror Force! Now your monster is destroyed!

Akiza: No!

Announcer: Things aren't looking good for the Black Rose!

Akiza: I place a monster face down in DEF Mode and end my turn.

Turn 6-JP

JP-8000 LP/Akiza-8000 LP

JP: My turn. Draw. I activate the special ability of my Nobledragon Magician from my hand! By lowering Odd Eyes's Level to 4, I can special summon this monster from my hand! (Thoughts) This won't bring out my mark so it's okay.

Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon-Level 7 - - - Level 4

JP: I now summon Nobledragon Magician in ATK Mode!

Nobledragon Magician: Scale 5- 700 ATK/ 1400 DEF

Luna: Is he doing what I think he's doing?

JP: I tune my Level 3 Nobledragon Magician with my Level 4 Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon! Beat your wings to whip up a whirlwind of destruction! I Synchro Summon! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!

Luna: At least it wasn't one of those dragons.

Announcer: JP shows why he is the Dragon Master by Syncro Summoning a dragon that we've never seen before!

Akiza: Trap card, open! Star Siphon! This card gives me Siphon Token that has the same level as your Clear Wing Syncro Dragon!

[A token appears]

JP: I use the Pendulum Scale I've already set to bring back my Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon!

Announcer: JP keeps bringing back that dragon at will.

JP: Battle. Flash Knight, take out her token!

Akiza: Hmm.

JP: Odd Eyes, attack her face down! Spiral Flame Strike!

Akiza: The special ability of my Blue Rose Dragon activates! It lets bring back 1 Plant type monster from my Graveyard. I bring back Dark Verger in DEF Mode!

Dark Verger: Level 2- 0 ATK/ 1000 DEF

JP: Clear Wing, destroy her monster! Spinstorm Sky Strike!

Akiza: No!

JP: Odd Eyes, attack her directly! Spiral Flame Strike!

Akiza: Ahh!

Akiza-8000 LP - - - 5500 LP

Announcer: Although she took damage, the Black Rose was able to prevent all the damage she could of taken. But JP has four monsters on the field. Three of them are dragons with 2500 ATK each and she only has one card in her hand. What will she do?

JP: Turn end.

Turn 7-Akiza

Akiza: My turn. I draw. I can't do anything. I end my turn.

Announcer: This could be it for the Black Rose! This duel is over!

Turn 8-JP

JP-8000 LP/Akiza-5500 LP

JP: My turn. Draw. Flash Knight and two Odd Eyes, attack her directly and end this duel!

Akiza: At the same time?

JP: Sorry but I don't choose favorites!

Akiza: Ahh!

Akiza-5500 LP - - - 0 LP

Winner: JP

Announcer: There you have it, folks! After an amazing duel, we now have our winner who will face off against Jack Atlas! Congratulations to JP Kaiba!

[The crowd goes absolutely crazy. JP and Sayer approach Akiza to help her up. Akiza smacks Sayer's hand away]

Akiza: Stay away from me, Sayer. I'm leaving with my boyfriend.

[Leo is completely estatic. Luna just smiles]

Luna: I'm glad he didn't Synro summon one of the dragons. It was cool to see him introduce a new summoning technique.

[Far away, Rin and Yugo watched the victory]

Yugo: That's what I'm talking about! That's my best friend for you!

Rin: (Thoughts) Congratulations, JP. When you come home I'll tell you how I feel.

[Jack smiles down at his rival]

Jack: I thought you were impressive before but you are even more now. I'm ready to face that deck of yours.

Goodwin: (Thoughts) He can summon like that Masked Boy did but he didn't show any signer energy. I need to keep my eyes on him.

[Akiza takes JP aside and plants a kiss on him. He kisses back. JP though knew in the back of his mind that Goodwin is still after the signers. He needed to stop him. The question is: can he?]
