[In Barian World, people are meeting]

???: It appears that the humans have failed us.

???: That's not good. We need those numbers.

???: I say we go and get them ourselves.

???: Alito, those are against the orders.

Alito: I'm not Vector. I'll do it myself.

[Alito disappears]

???: Girag, go with him.

Girag: Why?

???: You're a strong soldier. That's why.

Girag: Fine.

[Girag disappears]

???: We need those numbers. We lost Nash and we can't find Marin. What will we do?

???: We just need to trust Xander.

???: Why is he taking so long?

???: Don't question him. He's the emperor for a reason. He'd destroy us all. It's foolish to go against him.

???: Then Vector is a fool?

???: Yes.

[Meanwhile in Heartland in the school. JP is surrounded by a bunch of girls who are constantly asking for pictures and autographs]

Flip: Those girls are like moths to a flame.

Bronk: That flame is eating JP up. Poor guy.

Tori: Well, those moths are bugging me.

Cathy: Poor guy.

JP: (Shouts) I can't take anymore! Bronk, I need your help!

Bronk: That's my cue!

[Bronk grabs JP and the group of friends leave. Later that day, people start going crazy. They have this weird Barian symbol on their forehead. JP knew exactly who they were and dueled all of them. He spent hours dueling them all. After he finished, he got a call from the hospital. JP ran straight there]

JP: Rio!

Doctor: She went into this state about three hours ago. I'll go see what I can do.

JP: Rio. I'm right here.

Rio: They're coming! They're coming! Darkness is coming! They are coming to take what is most precious!

[Astral looked at Rio confused. JP grabs her hand]

JP: My past is coming back to haunt me.

[Astral decided not to ask JP what he was talking about. He did notice though that during the duels when he used his XYZ deck that he had the same card that people who were under Barian control used: Rank Up Magic Barian's Force. Astral knew that JP was hiding something. He had suspicions that JP was from Barian world as well. Barian world were the enemies of Astral World. So Astral remained silent and waited]
