JP (Original) POV

[I had just been pulled from my Fusion Counterpart and now I'm back in my Syncro Counterpart. Honestly, all of this moving is really wearing me down but since I'm a spirit, I don't need sleep. I have just explained everything to my Syncro Counterpart and he had a few things to say]

JP (Syncro): So are you here to take over my body again?

JP (Original): Not this time. You're dueling Jack. This is something that you have to do on your own.

JP (Syncro) To be honest, I wish you were dueling for me.

JP (Original): I don't have to. You'll be fine. You want to be Champion of the World. Not me. I've already done that.

JP (Syncro): You said that there are bad things coming. Will you help me then?

JP (Original): If I need to. Our decks are the same pretty much.

JP (Syncro): You have monsters that I've never seen before.

JP (Original): If you were using your Blue Eyes Deck then definitely. Now we both have Pendulum Monsters. That will always give us an edge.

JP (Syncro): Luna doesn't want us using our new deck.

JP (Original): She'll understand why we have to.

JP (Syncro) I'm still very nervous. This is what I've been working for.

JP (Original): I'll be here. I won't duel for you but I'll be here. Now get up. It's time for your rematch with Jack.

3rd Person POV

[JP wakes up and gets set to head to the duel arena. He knows that moment is big for him. Although he wants his counterpart to duel for him, he knows he must do this himself. Being told that bad things are coming scared him but he could focus on that right now. He had to focus on beating Jack. On his way the duel arena, he is approached by Luna and Leo]

Leo: JP!

JP: Hey, guys.

Leo: We juts wanted to wish you luck against your duel against Jack.

JP: Thanks. I'm going to need it.

Luna: (Thoughts) The JP I know is back. He isn't as confident as the other one. Does that mean I confessed my feelings to the other one? Does this one even remember what happened?

Leo: One more thing, did my sister kiss you?

Luna: (Thoughts) What's he going to say.

[JP winks at Luna]

JP: That's a secret between me and her Leo.

Leo: Ah man. I wanted to tell Yugo.

JP: Maybe you'll get a chance who knows.

Leo: Let's go, Luna. Let's find our seats.

[Leo walks away. Luna stays behind]

Luna: So, you're back. You're not that other person.

JP: Yeah. It's me.

Luna: Why did you have that other person duel for you?

JP: He's a better duelist then me.

Luna: I think you too are pretty much the same. He used your deck as if he was you.

JP: He's just that good of a duelist. I'm just scared. I know things are about to get bad but...

[Luna motions for JP to lean down. She kisses his cheek. He blushes]

Luna: Don't worry. I'll be there to watch you win.

JP (Original): She's confessed her love to you.

JP: Thanks, Luna.

[Luna leaves. JP walks a little farther and is stopped by Akiza]

JP: Hey.

Akiza: I just wanted to wish you luck before your duel against Jack. If anyone deserves to beat him and become the champion of the world it's you.

JP: Thanks, Akiza.

[Akiza kisses JP]

Akiza: That's for luck.

[JP blushes and heads to the arena where Jack is waiting for him]

Jack: So this is what you've been waiting for. You wanted a rematch and now you got it. Now that we got that out of the way, just know that I'm the champ and always will be. You may have a new summoning technique but I'll still beat you.

JP: We'll see Jack. We'll see.

[JP and Jack enter the arena as they are being introduced]

Announcer: This is it, duel fans! The moment we've been working towards! This is the final duel of the Fortune Cup! It's the duel we've all been waiting for! It's the rematch of the century!

[Jack enters]

Announcer: Over here we have the reigning champion! The master of faster! The king of the Red Dragon Archfiend! Give it up for reigning champion: Jack Atlas!

[The crowd cheers. JP enters]

Announcer: Over here we have the missing Kaiba brother. The only man that has gotten within a turn of beating Jack! The former Blue Eyes Master now Dragon Master! Give it up for JP Kaiba!

[The crowd roars. JP and Jack get set to activate their duel disks]

Jack: Good luck, JP. You'll need it. You better be using that new deck.

JP: You want it? You got it!

[JP activates his duel disk]

Jack: It's time to kick this duel into overdrive!

JP: Let's rev it up!

JP/Jack: Let's duel!

Turn 1-JP

JP-8000 LP/Jack-8000 LP

JP: I'll start. My turn. I place Timegazer Magician in my Pendulum Zone. I now summon Goblinbergh in ATK Mode!

Goblinbergh: Level 4- 1400 ATK/ 0 DEF

JP: His ability allows me to summon Flamvell Magician in ATK Mode!

Flamvell Magician: Level 4- 1400 ATK/ 200 DEF

JP: (Thoughts) Here we go. (Out loud) I tune my Level 4 Flamvell Magician with my Level 4 Goblinbergh! Clustering wishes will become a new shining star! Become the path its light shines upon! Synchro Summon! Take flight, Stardust Dragon!

[Everyone is shocked]

Announcer: JP shows again why he's the Dragon Master! He Syncro Summons a new dragon!

Luna: That's one of the dragons!

Goodwin: That was the dragon that appeared before the Crimson Dragon showed up! Now all that Jack has to do is summon his dragon and the Crimson Dragon will appear!

JP: Turn end.

Turn 2-Jack

Jack: Hmph. Impressive. My turn. I draw. From my hand I activate a spell: Resonator Call! This allows me to add one Resonator monster from my deck to my hand. I place a monster face down in DEF Mode and another card face down and end my turn.

Announcer: Jack is being careful in this situation. Very smart.

Turn 3-JP

JP: My turn. Draw. I place a card face down. I place a monster face down in DEF Mode! Battle. Battle. Stardust Dragon, attack his face down! Shooting Sonic!

[Jack's monster is revealed to be Clock Resonator]

Clock Resonator: Level 3- 1200 ATK/ 600 DEF

Jack: The special ability of my Clock Resonator activates. Once per turn, it can't be destroyed by battle or card effects. I'm not going down without a fight, JP.

JP: Hmph. Turn end.

Announcer: Jack is able to save his LP with a special monster!

Turn 4-Jack

Jack: My turn. I draw. I discard a card to special summon Power Giant from my hand.

Power Giant: Level 6- 2200 ATK/ 0 DEF

Jack: Its ability is that its Level is lowered by the Level of the monster I discarded. That monster was Level 3. So my Power Giant is now Level 3.

Jack: I summon Battle Fader in ATK Mode!

Battle Fader: Level 1- 0 ATK/ 0 DEF

Jack: I tune my Level 3 Clock Resonator with my Level 3 Power Giant and Level 1 Battle Fader! I Syncro Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Chaos King Archfiend!

Announcer: Jack Syncro summons a monster but JP is still able to destroy it!

JP: My turn. Draw. (Thoughts) This might summon the Crimson Dragon but I have to win this duel.

JP (Original): No! You mustn't do that! You'll be giving Goodwin what he wants!

JP: (Thoughts) Sorry but I'm winning this my way! (Out loud) You want to see a surprise, Jack? You want to see why I'll be champion? How about I master a dragon that you own?

Jack: What are you talking about?

JP: You'll see. I flip summon: Elemental Hero Woodsman!

Elemental Hero Woodsman: Level 4- 1000 ATK/ 2000 DEF

JP: I summon another Flamvell Magician in ATK Mode!

Leo: He's Syncro summoning again?

Luna: Is he doing what I think he's doing?

JP (Original): I hope you don't regret your decision.

JP: I tune my Level 4 Flamvell Magician and my Level 4 Elemental Hero Woodsman! The pulse of the king now forms a line here! Witness the power of the rumbling heavens! Synchro Summon! My soul, Red Dragon Archfiend!

[Everyone is completely shocked. JP had just summoned a monster that Jack owned and what they thought was one of a kind]

Jack: You have a dragon like mine?

JP: I do. I also have a Black Rose Dragon, Ancient Fairy Dragon, and Power Tool Dragon along with my other dragons! I am the Dragon Master!

[Just then, JP's, Jack's, Luna's, and Akiza's signer marks begin to glow]

Goodwin: He's the signer we've been looking for!

[The Crimson Dragon appears. Everyone is in complete shock]

Announcer: I don't believe what I am seeing!

[JP, Jack, Akiza, and Luna are transported to another world]

Jack: What's going on?

Akiza: Why are we here?

Luna: Where are we?

[They all have the same vision involving the Crimson Dragon]

JP: We're all connected by this Dragon and our marks. Evil is on its way and we must band together to save the world.

Jack: You're not going to be like your brother in this instance?

JP: Unlike my brother, I believe in magic. Now if you don't mind, we still have a duel to finish! Battle. Red Dragon Archfiend, attack Jack directly! Crimson Hell Flare!

Jack: Trap card, open: Fiendish Chain! This puts a chain on your dragon! I will not let you attack me with my own dragon! Your dragon can't attack and it loses its special ability!

JP: Very well. Stardust Dragon, attack Jack directly! Shooting Sonic!

Jack: Ahh!

JP: Turn end.

JP: Good thing I have two monsters. It's your turn, Rose, Warrior of Revenge!

Jack: Hmph.

Jack: The special ability of my Dread Dragon activates. When it's destroyed by battle I can add 1 Level 3 or lower Dragon type monster from my deck to my hand.

JP: Rose, Warrior of Revenge, attack him directly!

Jack: Ahh!

JP: Now the ability of my Warrior activates. When she deals battle damage, you take another 300 LP of damage!

[The vision ends as they are transported back to their world. Jack stays lying on the ground. Everyone looks at the score and sees that JP has one]

Announcer: Uh...

Goodwin: Announce JP as the winner.

Announcer: We have a new champion! Please give it up for our new champion, JP Kaiba!

[The crowd cheers. Akiza, Luna, and Rin from far away, have tears in their eyes. JP walks over to Jack]

Jack: You beat me, JP. Congratulations.

JP: It doesn't matter. What matters is the danger ahead.

Jack: You get to be a hero. Let me rest up and I'll follow you.

[JP and Jack shake hands. Reporters surround JP for questioning. Goodwin knows that JP is the signer they've been looking for. JP (Original) hopes that they don't regret their mistake by summoning the Crimson Dragon. JP knows that this is far from over]
