3rd Person POV

[After JP won the Fortune Cup, he is surrounded by journalists. In the back are Carly Carmine and a journalist named Angela]

Carly: I'm going the get the biggest scoop of my career!

Angela: Not if I get it first. He wants to speak to a real reporter. Not someone who blogs on his fansite.

[JP sees Carly and walks over. Angela walks in front of her]

Angela: JP, I have so many questions. First...

JP: Excuse me.

[JP walks over to Carly]

JP: Are you Carly Carmine?

Carly: (Blushes) Yes.

[JP hands Carly a tape recorder]

JP: I recorded some answers to questions you might have for your blog site.

Carly: How did you know?

[Flashback]

JP (Syncro): This is weird.

JP (Original): You're just telling a little about yourself on a tape recorder. It isn't a bad thing. It's for a friend of mine. Carly Carmine.

JP (Syncro): Whatever.

[Flashback end]

JP: Let's just say that someone gave me the idea. Also thanks for the fansite. I really appreciate it.

Carly: Thank you so much!

[Carly runs away screaming]

Angela: JP, I have many questions. First...

JP: Angela, I would like to stay and answer questions but at another time okay? (Thoughts) I'm going to regret doing this!

[JP winks at Angela which makes her faint from embarrassment]

Angela: (Groggy) If you say so!

[Later that day JP is challenged by an underground duelist who had been recruited by the Dark Signers. After winning he hears a rumor that they are going after people in the Satelite. JP knows Rin and Yugo are in danger so he has to save them. But first he's going to make a little stop at the hospital where Jack is. He finds Jack in his room with Mina]

JP: Jack, you better not be moping around.

Jack: Uh...

JP: I knew it. Mina, may I have a moment with him please?

Mina: Sure.

[Mina starts to walk away]

JP: Looking lovely as always.

[Mina blushes and runs away]

Jack: When did you get so confident?

JP: I've always been this way. Jack, what's wrong.

Jack: I'm recovering. Can't you see that?

JP: You're upset that you're not the champion anymore. You do know why I beat you right?

Jack: Why?

JP: My Pendulum Monsters.

Jack: Don't say that. You didn't Pendulum Summon once so that isn't an excuse.

JP: You got me there. Jack, listen...

[Silence]

JP: I know I beat you but I want you to know that you're my hero.

Jack: Your hero?

JP: Yeah. I always dreamed about dueling you and beating you and then becoming the World Champion. You're the reason I worked so hard. I look up to you.

Jack: (Chuckles) Well, you have to since I'm taller.

JP: There's the Jack I know. Now rest up and let's have a rematch. We're still rivals right?

[JP extends his hand to Jack. Jack shakes it and smiles]

Jack: Always. I will win my title back. Though I know you won't give up so easily. Just wait until I get my own Pendulum Monsters.

[JP leaves the room but before he leaves...]

JP: Enjoy your movie that's all about you!

Jack: Not funny!

[JP leaves the room. He sees Mina]

Mina: Thanks for cheering him up.

JP: Not a problem.

[Silence]

JP: Want to grab a coffee some time?

[Mina runs away blushing. JP walks a little farther and sees Carly]

JP: Carly?

Carly: Hey.

JP: Why you dressed in a nurse outfit?

Carly: Well, I'm trying to interview Jack Atlas but no has been allowed to talk to him.

JP: I can only guess who gave you that idea. It was Misty wasn't it?

Carly: How did you know?

JP (Original): I told you.

JP: I had a feeling.

[Trudge suddenly walks over with a face full of anger]

Trudge: I've come for Jack Atlas.

JP: I'm sorry. Jack Atlas can't come to the phone right now. Please direct all questions to his friend JP.

Carly: That was funny.

Trudge: Fine. If I can't have Jack, then I'll defeat you!

JP: Do you really want to lose to me again?

[Trudge growls and activates his duel disk]

JP: I guess you do. Carly, stay close to me okay?

[Carly stands next to JP and blushes]

Carly: Whatever you say.

JP: I'll have to beat you quick before you destroy this building.

[JP activates his duel disk]

JP: Let's rev it up!

Turn 1-JP

JP: Since I have a lady on my side, I'll go first. My turn. I place a card face down. I place Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon in my Pendulum Zone. Turn end. I activate the special ability of my Odd Eyes in my Pendulum Zone! By sending it to the Extra Deck, I can add Timegazer Magician to my hand.

Turn 2-Trudge

Trudge: My turn. I draw.

[Trudge's arm begins to glow. JP's as well. Carly sees this and is amazed]

Trudge: I summon Search Striker in ATK Mode!

Search Striker: Level 4- 1600 ATK/ 1200 DEF

Trudge: Now my monster will attack you directly! Clever Strike!

JP: Ahh!

Carly: You okay, JP?

JP: I'm fine, Carly. Thanks.

Trudge: I place one card face down and end my turn.

Turn 3-JP

JP: My turn. Draw. I use Scale 1 Stargazer Magician and Scale 8 Timegazer Magican to set the Pendulum Scale! I'm taking control of this duel starting now!

Carly: It's the Pendulum Summon!

JP: I can now summon monsters from Levels 2 to 7 all at the same time! Swing far, Pendulum! Carve the Arc of Victory! My monsters are ready to swing into action! Turn up the heat, Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon! Also joining is Stargazer Magician.

Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon: Scale 4: Level 7- 2500 ATK/ 2000 DEF

Stargazer Magician: Scale 1: Level 5- 1200 ATK/ 2400 DEF

JP: Battle. When I have these two monsters in my Pendulum Zone and a Pendulum Monster attacks, you can't activate any spell or trap cards! Odd Eyes, destroy his Search Striker! Spiral Flame Strike! When Odd Eyes causes battle damage, it doubles! Reaction Force!

Trudge: Ahh!

JP: That changes nothing. My turn. Draw. I use the Pendulum Scale I've already set! Pendulum Summon! Welcome back Stargazer Magician! I switch Odd Eyes back to ATK Mode! Battle. Odd Eyes, destroy his monster! Spiral Flame Strike!

Trudge: Urk.

JP: Stargazer Magician, attack him directly! Astronomy Attack!

Trudge: Ahh!

JP: My turn. Draw. I switch Odd Eyes back to ATK Mode! I summon Flamvell Guard in ATK Mode!

Flamvell Guard: Level 1- 100 ATK/ 2000 DEF

JP: I tune my Level 1 Flamvell Guard with my Level 8 Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon! Clustering wishes will become a new shining star! Become the path its light shines upon! Synchro Summon! Take flight, Stardust Dragon!

Trudge: Ahh!

Carly: JP, are you okay?

Carly: (Blushes) Really! Sure!
