JP (Syncro) POV

[Things have been pretty quiet since the Dark Signers were defeated. I had time to relax and do some duels. People challenged me from all around because I was the champion. I went on dates with Rin, Luna, Akiza, Misty, and Carly. I even got coffee with Mina. Today I'm just riding my duel runner while enjoying the breeze. Suddenly a duel runner comes speeding behind and quickly goes past me. I just ignored it until the same biker came my direction. We both stopped in front of each other. The rider takes off his helmet and reveals herself to a girl]

JP: Can I help you?

???: Yes. I want a shot at your title!

JP: Sorry. Unless we do it in an official tournament, even if you win, you won't be crowned champion.

???: Then let's make this a public display!

JP: Excuse me?

???: Alert the news and the public! JP Poole puts his title on the line in an impromptu duel downtown!

JP: If you can make that happen then go for it.

???: Oh I can. I'm a contender from France. I'm here to take your title.

JP: Very well.

[The girl gets back on her bike. Before she puts her helmet back on, she turns to me]

???: The name is Sherry Leblanc. Remember the name well because it will be the name everywhere when I beat you.

[Sherry rides away leaving me speechless. I ride back to my place where I find Rin and Yugo]

JP: Hey, guys. Didn't know you guys were coming by.

Rin: I just wanted to surprise my boyfriend!

[We go to kiss when Jack stomps in]

Jack: JP! What's the meaning of this?

JP: What?

[Jack throws a piece of paper on the ground that was announcing a public duel for his title against Sherry Leblanc]

JP: Wow. She moves fast. She really wants my title.

Jack: You can't just go putting your title on the line like that.

JP: She challenged me, Jack.

[Akiza, Crow, Luna, Leo, Carly, and Misty arrive]

Leo: Are you really going to duel her, JP?

Luna: She will be a challenge. She's the champion of France.

Carly: I'm sure we have nothing to worry about.

Misty: Our boyfriend will be unstoppable. As long as he has those Pendulum cards he'll be fine.

[They don't know that I don't have those with me]

JP: I don't use the Pendulum cards anymore.

Everyone: WHAT!

JP: I just want to a Syncro duelist. I want to represent my dimension. I'm the Syncro Counterpart of the 4 Dimension Duelist. I want to remain true to myself. Besides, I don't have the Pendulum cards with me. They only appear when my partner appears.

Crow: Nothing to worry about. I'm sure he can beat Sherry with his normal deck.

[Akiza stares at the picture. I notice this]

JP: You okay, Akiza?

Akiza: I don't like how she's treating you as some trophy to be won.

Leo: Is that jealousy I hear?

[Silence. It was deafening]

Rin: Well, she is pretty.

Crow: More like beautiful!

[All of the girls stare at Crow. He sweats bullets]

Crow: Sorry.

JP: She only challenged for my title. This has nothing to do with my relationship status.

Rin: Good thing because she has a few girlfriends to go through before that happens.

Crow: Shouldn't we get going? The duel is happening soon.

JP: Right. I don't want to keep my competition waiting.

3rd Person POV

[The whole group rides to where the duel was taking place. A large crowd has gathered. Even the commentator from the tournament is there]

Announcer: Here he is, folks! The Dragon Master. The current reigning champion! Give it up for the one and only JP Kaiba!

[The crowd cheers as if the world was about to end]

Announcer: And the challenger. She's the champion of France who is determined to take title home with her. The Blonde Beauty. Give it up for Sherry Leblanc!

[The crowd cheers but not as loud]

Announcer: Duelists, activate your duel disks and let's this duel underway! This duel is for the title and championship!

[Sherry activates her duel disk]

Sherry: You ready for this?

JP: Always.

Sherry: Don't worry. I'll still remember after I win. We could become the top dueling couple of the world!

Rin/Akiza/Carly/Misty/Luna: Now hang on!

JP: Sorry, Sherry, but I'm not on the market.

Sherry: Well after I win, I will have ways to convince you.

[JP activates his duel disk]

JP: Let's rev it up!

Turn 1-Sherry

JP-8000 LP/Sherry-8000 LP

Sherry: Ladies first. I summon Peten the Clown in ATK Mode!

Peten the Clown: Level 3- 500 ATK/ 1200 DEF

Sherry: I send one card from my hand to the Graveyard to summon Quickdraw Sychnron from my hand.

Quickdraw Synchron: Level 5- 700 ATK/ 1400 DEF

Sherry: I tune my Level 5 Qucikdraw Synchron with my Level 3 Peten the Clown. Body born from speed, the time for revolution has come! Bring victory into my hands! Synchro Summon! Shine, Chevalier de Fleur!

Chevalier de Fleur: Level 8- 2700 ATK/ 2300 DEF

Sherry: I end my turn with two face downs.

Announcer: Sherry brings out her most famous monster on her first turn. How will the champion respond?

Turn 2-JP

JP-8000 LP/Sherry-8000 LP

JP: My turn. Draw. I activate the spell: Twin Twisters. By sending one card from my hand to the Graveyard, I can destroy both of your face downs!

Sherry: Hmph.

JP: I place on monster face down in DEF Mode and end my turn.

Announcer: The champion protects himself from some face downs and places a monster face down in DEF Mode. He is playing it safe.

Turn 3-Sherry

Sherry: My turn. I draw. Chevalier de Fleur, attack his face down! Fleur de Mirage!

JP: Once per turn while in DEF Mode, Gogogo Golem can't be destroyed in Battle.

Sherry: Hmph. I end my turn.

Announcer: The champion's monster effect saves his monster.

Turn 4-JP

JP: My turn. Draw. I summon Flamvell Magician in ATK Mode.

Flamvell Magician: Level 4- 1400 ATK/ 200 DEF

JP: I tune my Level 4 Flamvell Magician and my Level 4 Gogogo Golem. The ruler's heartbeats will now file through here! Take witness to its creation-shaking power! Synchro Summon! My very soul, Red Dragon Archfiend!

Red Dragon Archfiend: Level 8- 3000 ATK/ 2000 DEF

JP: Battle. Red Dragon Archfiend, take out her Cavalier de Fleur! Crimson Hell Flare!

Sherry: Urk.

Sherry-8000 LP - - - 7700 LP

JP: Turn end.

Announcer: The champion was able to clear Sherry's field and knock off some LP at the same time!

Sherry: My turn. I draw. I place one card face down in DEF Mode and end my turn.

Announcer: Sherry is in trouble with a wide open field.

JP: My turn. Draw. I place one card face down. Red Dragon Archfiend, attack her directly! Crimson Hell Flare!

Sherry: Ahh!

Announcer: The champion was able to take a big junk out of Sherry's LP! What will she do to respond?

Sherry: I will not lose to you! My turn. I draw! I place one monster face down in DEF Mode and end my turn.

Announcer: All Sherry can do is play it safe.

Turn 8-JP

JP: My turn. Draw. I summon Gagaga Gardna in ATK Mode.

Gagaga Gardna: Level 4- 1500 ATK/ 2000 DEF

JP: Battle. Red Dragon Archfiend, attack her face down! When Red Dragon Archfiend attacks a monster in DEF Mode, it automatically destroys it! Absolute Power Force!

Sherry: The effect of my monster Needle Worm activates! When it's flipped over, you have to send the top 5 cards of your deck to the Graveyard.

JP: Gagaga Gardna, attack her directly!

Sherry: Ahh!

Sherry-4700 LP - - - 3200 LP

JP: Turn end.

Announcer: Sherry was able to take away some cards from the champion's deck, but the champion takes another bite out of her LP.

Turn 9-Sherry

Sherry: Hmph. My turn. I draw. I activate my trap: Limit Reverse. This allows to summon Peten the Dark Clown in ATK Mode. I end my turn with a face down.

Announcer: Sherry seems to be getting desperate.

Turn 10-JP

JP-8000 LP/Sherry-3200 LP

JP: My turn. Draw. I activate the spell: Star Changer. This allows me to make Gagaga Gardna Level 5.

Gagaga Gardna: Level 4 - - - Level 5

JP: I summon Junk Synchron in ATK Mode.

Junk Synchron: Level 3- 1300 ATK/ 500 DEF

JP: I tune my Level 3 Junk Synchron and my Level 5 Gagaga Gardna. Clustering wishes will become a new shining star! Become the path its light shines upon! Synchro Summon! Take flight, Stardust Dragon!

Stardust Dragon: Level 8- 2500 ATK/ 2000 DEF

JP: Battle. Red Dragon Archfiend, attack and destroy her Peten the Dark Clown! Crimson Hell Flare!

Sherry: I activate my trap: Mirror Force! This trap destroys both of your monsters!

JP: I activate the special ability of my Stardust Dragon! By sending it to the Graveyard, I can negate your trap, save my monster, and continue my attack! Victim Sanctuary!

Sherry: Ahh!

Sherry- 3200 LP - - - 700 LP

Sherry: The special ability of my Peten the Dark Clown activates. When it's sent to the Graveyard, I can banish it and summon a new Peten the Dark Clown.

JP: Turn end. Now my Stardust Dragon returns to my field.

Announcer: The champion takes another huge bite out of Sherry's LP. This duel could be over, folks!

Turn 11-Sherry

Sherry: My turn. I draw. I place one card face down and end my turn.

Announcer: It looks like this duel is over, folks!

Turn 12-JP

JP-8000 LP/Sherry-700 LP

JP: My turn. Draw. Battle. Red Dragon Archfiend, destroy her clown! Absolute Power Force! Your monster is automatically destroyed!

Sherry: The special effect od Peten the Dark Clown activates again! Giving me another Peten the Dark Clown.

JP: Stardust Dragon, attack her second clown! Shooting Sonic!

Sherry: Urk. I'm out of clowns.

JP: Turn end.

Announcer: Sherry was able to save herself thanks to her monster's effect but it won't be enough unless she does something her next turn.

Turn 13-Sherry

JP-8000 LP/Sherry-700 LP

Sherry: Urk. My turn! I draw! I can't do anything. I end my turn.

Announcer: This duel is over, folks!

Turn 14-JP

JP: My turn. Draw. Stardust Dragon, attack her directly and end this duel! Shooting Sonic!

Sherry: Ahh!

Sherry-700 LP - - - 0 LP

Winner: JP

Announcer: Winning in a blow out, the still reigning champion: JP Kaiba! He keeps his title!

[All of JP's friends gather around him. They exchange hi-fives, fist bumps, bro hugs, and kisses. You can guess who gave what. Sherry walks over the group. Rin stands in front of her]

Rin: That's far enough.

[Sherry stops]

Sherry: That was a good duel, Kaiba. I see why you're the champion. I hope for a rematch someday. Next time, I'll be ready.

[Sherry rides away in her D-wheel. JP and friends continue to celebrate]
