Celina POV

[It's year three and I'm still in the Slifer Red Dorm. I keep asking for the test to get to the next class but it keeps getting denied. I don't know why. Anyway, I'm just chilling in my dorm by myself. Chazz built a dorm room for himself while he was demoted to Slifer. When he went to Obelisk White, I move in. I heard he's helping the Obelisk Blues paint their dorm blue again. I'm currently reading when the door opens. In walks a person that I didn't want to see. Blair Flannigan]

Blair: Hello. I heard this was the girls' dorm for Slifer Red.

[Blair sees me]

Blair: Oh hi! I'm Blair.

Celina: I know who you are.

Blair: Huh?

Celina: You cam here two years ago in disguise and challenged JP to a duel to bring Zane back. You lost. Then you left but you also confessed your love to JP. Am I missing anything?

Blair: Wow. I didn't recognize you! It's been so long! You're still a Slifer? You must be a very bad duelist since you're still here.

Celina: I'm the second best duelist in this school behind, JP.

Blair: Speaking of JP, do you know where he is?

Celina: Why would I tell you?

Blair: Huh?

Celina: Why would I tell you where MY boyfriend is?

Blair: You're not playing fair. I have every right to try to win JP's heart and steal him from you.

Celina: I'm still not telling you.

Blair: Then I'll duel it out of you!

Celina: I accept that challenge.

[Before anything happens, Chazz walks in and is surprised to see us]

Chazz: What are you two doing here? This is my palace!

Blair: Huh? I thought this is where the girls in Slifer Red bunked!

Chazz: No! Now get out!

[Syrus and Hassleberry walk in. Ever since Hassleberry was beaten by my boyfriend, he's been hanging with us]

Syrus: What's all the fighting about?

Chazz: I'm trying to kick these girls out of my dorm!

Hassleberry: I'm surprised, Chazz.

Chazz: Why?

Hassleberry: I thought you would like rooming with two gorgeous girls!

Chazz: I change my mind! You two are welcomed here as long as you like!

Celina: Not happening!

[The argument continues until we have to leave for the auditorium]

JP (Fusion) POV

[I'm sitting on the rooftop of a building just talking to my counterpart]

JP: Any spoilers you can give me for this year?

Masked Boy: There is a new tournament coming up. You'll have to win it. You meet Yubel this year. So there's another duel spirit for you.

JP: I get my own Yubel? Nice!

Yubel: I wasn't always so friendly. I was very hostile in the beginning.

JP: I'm prepared.

[Just then a boy with blue hair walks over]

???: Excuse me? Are you JP Yuki?

JP: I am.

???: Wow. I'm so excited to meet you!

JP: Thanks?

???: Yeah. I'm a huge fan! I heard you saved the Sacred Beasts and took down the Society of Light!

JP: It was no big deal.

???: I also heard you invented a new summoning technique. Pendulum Summoning! I was hoping you would teach me!

JP: I don't really use Pendulum monsters anymore.

[That is true. The Pendulum Monsters belong to my partner. They only appear when my partner is dueling]

JP: Besides, I can't teach you unless you have Pendulum Cards.

???: Makes sense.

[I see a duel spirit beside him]

JP: You see duel spirits?

???: I do. I guess you do as well.

JP: I do.

???: I can also see that person standing next to you in a mask.

Masked Boy: Thought you would. Nice to meet you.

???: Are you the person with the Pendulum Cards?

Masked Boy: Indeed I am. I only duel if my partner needs help.

???: You're like his Atem to your Yugi.

Masked Boy: I guess you could say that.

[I look at my watch and see what time it is]

JP: We better get going. The opening ceremonies are starting!

3rd Person POV

[Everyone has gathered in the auditorium. Blair had just finished saying the opening speech. While she was walking to her seat, she winked at JP. This made Celina and Alexis angry. The Chancellor walks up to the stand]

Chancellor: This year, Duel Academy will be home to some new students from around the world.

[Several students walk to the front]

Chancellor: I would like to introduce you to: Jim Crocodile Cook, Axel Brodie, and Adrian Gecko. There is supposed to be a Jesse Andersen but he isn't hear at the moment.

[Suddenly the boy that JP was talking to runs in]

???: Sorry I'm late!

Chancellor: You are?

???: I'm Jesse Anderson from North Academy.

[Everyone stares at him. Jesse joins the other boys on stage]

Chancellor: Every year we like to kick things off with a duel. This year it will be Duel Academy's best student versus North Academy's best student! This opening duel will be JP Yuki versus Jesse Andersen. May both duelists please take your places.

[JP and Jesse get set to duel]

Jesse: I'm happy to be dueling my idol.

JP: You and your Crystal Beasts don't scare me.

Jesse: Who told you that?

JP: A friend.

Jesse: You may know my deck but you don't know my strategy.

JP: We'll just have to see.

[Jesse activates his duel disk]

Jesse: I'm ready to take you down!

[JP activates his duel disk]

JP: I'm the best for a reason. Get set to get your game on!

Turn 1-JP

JP-8000 LP/Jesse-8000 LP

JP: Since I have home field advantage, I'll go first. My turn. I place one card face down. I summon Cyber Valley in ATK Mode!

Cyber Valley: Level 1- 0 ATK/ 0 DEF

JP: Turn end.

Turn 2-Jesse

JP-8000 LP/Jesse-8000 LP

Jesse: My turn. I draw. I place one card face down. I summon Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle in ATK Mode!

Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle: Level 3- 300 ATK/ 300 DEF

Jesse: Now my monster will attack your Cyber Valley! Ruby Sonic.

JP: I activate the special effect of my Cyber Valley. By banishing it, I can end your Battle Phase.

Jesse: I end my turn.

Turn 3-JP

JP-8000 LP/Jesse-8000

JP: My turn. Draw. I summon Cyber Dragon in ATK Mode! When you have monsters and I don't, I can special summon this monster from my hand.

Cyber Dragon: Level 5- 2100 ATK/ 1600 DEF

Jesse: I activate my trap: Torrential Tribute! Now all of our monsters are destroyed! This activates the special effect of my Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle. Instead of going to the Graveyard, she goes to my spell and trap zone.

JP: I summon Cyber Dragon Zwei in ATK Mode.

Cyber Dragon Zwei: Level 4- 1500 ATK/ 1000 DEF

JP: Now my monster will attack you directly!

Jesse: Ahh!

JP: Turn end.

Jesse: I place one monster face down in DEF Mode and end my turn.

JP: My turn. Draw. I activate the special effect of my Cyber Dragon Zwei. By showing you a spell card in my hand, I can change it's name to Cyber Dragon. I reveal the spell: Power Bond.

Jesse: I don't like where this is going.

JP: I summon Cyber Dragon Drei in ATK Mode!

Cyber Dragon Drei: Level 4- 1800 ATK/ 800 DEF

JP: This monster's name becomes Cyber Dragon. When this monster is summoned, it changes all Cyber Dragons to Level 5. Now I activate the spell: Power Bond! It let's me fuse two of my machine type monsters together. I fuse together my two Cyber Dragons! I fusion summon! Cyber Twin Dragon!

Cyber Twin Dragon: Level 8- 2800 ATK/ 2100

JP: Thanks to the spell Power Bond, my monster's ATK doubles!

Cyber Twin Dragon- 2800 ATK - - - 5600 ATK

JP: Battle. This monster can attack twice. Here is the first attack. Cyber Twin Dragon, attack and destroy his face down! Double Strident Blast

Jesse: My Crystal Beast goes to my spell and trap zone.

JP: Now Cyber Twin Dragon, attack him directly!

Jesse: Ahh!

JP: Turn end. Now the other effect of my spell Power Bond activates. I take damage equal to the original ATK of my monster that I fused.

JP: Ahh!

Jesse: My turn. I draw. I can't do anything. I end my turn.

Turn 7-JP

JP: Time to end this. My turn. Draw. Cyber Twin Dragon, attack him directly and end this duel! Double Strident Blast!

Jesse: Ahh!

Jesse-900 LP - - - 0 LP

Winner: JP

[The crowd cheers as the duel ends. JP walks over to Jesse]

JP: That was fun.

Jesse: You got really lucky with that spell card. I'll be ready next time.

JP: Looking forward to it.

[JP and Jesse shake hands. Celina, Alexis, and Blair run over to JP to congratulate him. The Chancellor looks at JP and smiles]

Chancellor: You'll be the reason why I get my daughter back.
