Wedding preparations were on full swing.Priyamwada arrived early morning flight.Ramya and Varna were excited to have her with them after years.Karuna was also happy.Prakash was too busy with preparations and work.

There was a cold relationship between Priyam and him.He never liked her way of living life.He cannot overlook the fact.His children and wife.Have bond with her.She loves them too.

It was taking a toll on Prakash.Managing both office work.Wedding work.He couldnt say it from his mouth.He knew if Varna was there.he wouldnt have to take stress.Both father and daughter were caught with their egos.

Prakash came home one evening.Loosening his tie.Fell down on the sofa in hall room.He could hear the noises.Karuna served him water.

K-"Priyam have arrived.From the time.Both girls have become kids again.Whole day running around.I am glad.She is here.Helping me a lot with the work."

Prakash gave a nod.Looked up stairs.He cant believe his apple of eye will be leaving in days.He didnt give a thought till now.

K-"Prakash.You look stressed."

P-"There is lot of work.And with preparations.I dont know how to manage both.Have talked with the Reddys.They will be here next week.We have very less time left."

K-"Dont worry everything will be done.You take care of your health.

Why dont you ask Varna to join back.She can help you out.Not for full time.She is least interested in shopping.Priyam can accompany Ramya."

Prakash looked undecided.When Karuna touched his shoulder.

P-"Akka.I will think about it."

K-"I know.You will.She is your daughter go talk to her.You cant deny she has been a helping hand to you.Now do you realize."

P-"I never said so.There is this new client.Wants to have meeting with us.That project is very important.Already so much work going on.I dont think i will be able to make time for that.I cant trust anyone with this.If Varna was there she could have.

I will go and freshen up."

Varna was going to kitchen.On the way when she heard the conversation taking place between her father and aunt.She played with the corner of her scarf.Then had some water.

Back at Reddys place.Vivaan came home early.For some reason.He looked at tensed faces of Shivani,Lata,Vikram and Satya.Reyansh looked heavily tensed.Standing with his hands back.Straight which was unlike of him.

V-"I hope I havent entered wrong house.Whats up people."

He had some water.Shivani eyed him.To look at Lata.Satya got up and went to his son.Patting his back.

S-"Our Reyansh wants to get married."

V-"Sounds awesome.So when is the date."

Shivani glared at him.Vikram tried to stiffen his face.He couldnt.Lata shook her head.

V-"Why do you all look so depressed.Rather in tension?He is asking for marriage.Not permission to go on war.Aththai.Didnt you wanted to hear this from him?"

He went to Lata and bent down.On his knees.Having her hands on his.Lata gave an unsure smile.Then looked at her son.Reyansh gave an innocent stare.

L-"He knew her for years.Didnt feel like sharing it with me.Or even his father.Now suddenly he met her after this hiatus and.Wants to get married."

S-"We should be happy he asked for permission Lata.Come on stop being so hypothetical."

Sh-"I think Satya Anna is right.You should consider this.Reyansh is mature enough to take decisions in life."

L-"I dont have problem with that.But his record doesnt say so.Can he be stable with this.Decision.That girl we dont know her.Family.and."

R-"You met the family in Anna's engagement.Already.I can invite her for dinner then.we can.Manage.Anna?"

Vivaan covered his face with his hand.Then had a look at his aunt.Reyansh made puppy face.

V-"This looks like safe option.Did you like her parents?Aththai?Satya Uncle.?"

S-"I find them.Good.People.Even your father in law knows them."

Vikram finally broke his silence.

Vik-"Well I dont think this needs to be an issue.Lata.First meet the girl.You already saw her.Whats the harm.Then we can think about it."

Reyansh came to his mother.Exchanged position with Vivaan.

R-"I know you are angry with me Mom.But give me a chance.You will love her.I mean she is so beautiful.When she talks no one can stop hearing her out.Her voice is so."

V-"Rey.Its ok.This much.Is convincing enough."

Shivani,Vikram and rest of them tried to control their laugh.Lata finally smiled.After much persuasion.Nandini was invited for dinner next day.After which any decision will be taken.

Ramya woke up with a big yawn.She looked at the clock to check time.It was past 11.She didnt find Varna beside her.Must be busy reading.Among the sisters.Varna wakes up early.For yoga.Ramya is the one more lazy.

She went downstairs.Finding Karuna and Priyam for breakfast.She kissed Priyam and went to hug Karuna.

P-"Ramya.You still look like a baby.Remember Karuna Akka.How we used to wake her up forcibly.And she had to cry for hours.Then fall asleep."

Ramya grinned cutely.Then settled for corn flakes.

R-"Without sugar.Okay."

Priyam cooed her cheeks.

P-"Its okay.You will get to eat a lot after wedding.Make use of that time."

R-"Aththaii.Where is Varna.I cant find her."

K-"She left for office.Early morning."

R-"What?Why.I told her and she promised not to take any work.This is not fair.Chittit you see."

Karuna eyed Priyam to handle the big baby now.And left for kitchen.

P-"Easy.Maa.Okay see it this way.Varna will be here soon.Just for few days.She has to handle this work.Your Appa is not able to handle work alone.So much stress.She has to be there.When I am with you we can have a ball together.Dont make that face goofball."

Ramya pouted.Then continued having her breakfast.

R-"Appa asked her for help?"

P-"Kind of."

R-"Then its okay.I hope they sort it out.

Chittiiiiiii.We will have fun then.Dont tell Aththai.I will take you to some best places here."

P-"Okay deal.I hardly got chance to spend some time with you.Varna.can work and.We can.have.Fun."

Both gave a high five.

The meeting was to take place right in an hour.Varna have been checking the work progress.What has taken place in last few days.She missed on.The staff was happy getting her back.She was in her cabin.

V-"Dinesh Uncle.I think we need to check this again.If possible make this plan again.Not up to the mark.Who okayed this?"

D-"Sir okayed.I guess he has been on pressure so.Didnt find time to cross check errors."

V-"Its okay.Send these for cross checking and.No errors please."

Dinesh smiled and praised the way the girl handled work.In blink of an eye.It looked.

D-"Varna.You have to meet the new client too.Sir couldnt give them appointment."

Varna caught her head.Checked the time.Almost lunch time.She took a sit.

V-"Yeah.How can I forget.Mr. Subramanian?Have been on my head.Why didnt he come last month when we were finalising deal with Reddys."

She remembered the happenings.If she had okayed that deal.Then things would have been different.Never mind.

D-"Mr Subramanian's health has deteriorated.His son joined work few months ago.He has been taking care of business.So he chose to take a call.Shall I fix the meeting?"

V-"Hmm.We dont have an option.Lets meet and see what he has to say."

It was almost evening.Raining.Varna was driving.Her driver took an off due to sickness.She was already on temper.Why does every client have to meet outside office premises.She hated these things.When it will be strictly professional.She wouldnt budge taking any thing personal.

She parked her car.Outside one of the coffee shops near their office.Went inside.Rains she didnt like much.Without reason.

She searched the place.Finding majority in formals.This place was popular for formal meetings.Then she found her phone on her hand.How would she recognize the person.She was about to dial Dinesh Uncle's number.Heard a voice.

"Ms Varna Shetty"

She turned back.Facing a guy of good height.Broad muscles.Which were visible from what he was wearing.He had a nice smile on face.One of the ears pierced it looked.He smiled at her walking to her way.Varna frowned.

"I thought.will find you.

Shakti Subramanian."

He extended his hand for a shake.Varna after giving a thought.Shaked hands for few seconds.They settled in a table.

Sh-"so.Finally we get to meet.I am glad you could spare time for me.Its been a "

V-"Why this place.And.Let me make this clear to you.I honor and value professionalism.Meeting like this first place.I dont find it necessary."

Shakti frowned his brows.At the lady sitting in front of her.From face she looked irritated.But he was too sure with his words.

Sh-"If I say the feeling is mutual then.

Ms Shetty.You may think I have less knowledge about business world and ethics.But I am much experienced in corporate field.How things work here.Before joining my Appa's business.I have been working for a firm for years.So.I dont think I need to know professionalism.Get me?"

Varna was taken off guard from the man's words.First time she felt she have no answer.She kept her hands on table.Shakti sobered a bit.He kept on stealing glances of her.

Sh-"I am sorry for the outburst.But this is what I have been facing.from some time.

This business world.People.They value money and so called repu."

V-"Dont get there.What I meant.We could have met at my office.Since.This is strictly."

Sh-"Professional.But.I chose this to be professional.And before reaching any decision of joining hands in work.I would like to refrain from visiting your office too.Now this I called.My ethics."

Varna looked at him carefully.She noticed the guy was confident.Shakti took out some files to show her.The waiter arrived after they discussed few work related things.

Sh-"Once Cappucino.With less sugar."

V-"Cappucino with less sugar."

The waiter left.With both feeling it awkward and weird.

Sh-"Ms Shetty.Likewise I told you.You may or may not like this proposal.Since Appa's health has been falling.Our business faced ups and downs.So I wont pressurize you to take this project.We wont be able to pay much.Which wont be profitable for you.So.Its your call."

Varna read papers carefully.The coffee was served.

V-"I have gone through them.They seem fine.But.

There is a mention of attending some workshop before starting off this project.You would like to attend.Why?"

Sh-"On a clear note I dont have enough experience.Knowledge yeah kind of.Before kicking off with this.I want to have a handful at least.How to do what.Cant risk my Appa's hardwork of all years.Cost of my foolishness.I hope you are getting me."

V-"We have to visit.Australia?"

Sh-"Yeah it would be.15 days seminar."

Varna thought for few minutes.He was having coffee.He looked chilled.And.What she liked was.He said being up front whatever was truth.Not hiding his weakness.

Sh-"Its okay if its a no.I have been used to it.Just that.I made sure.In business profit comes before any commitment.Or relationship."

Varna gave file back to him.

V-"Mail me the details again kindly.And.Have a word with Mr. Shetty before.Signing the deal."

Varna was packing her bag.Shakti looked at her in with shock.

Sh-"You mean.This.

Will work out?"

V-"I think I meant that.

Dont be shocked.Your proposal looks fine to me."

Sh-"What about the profit?"

V-"Mr Shakti.I dont know what idea you had about business world.What I learnt and I follow.You need to keep balance between profit,commitment and word of mouth.Thats how you work.Your father had an association with us earlier.We cannot have doubt on that.Still.It would be better if you have meeting with CEO of our company.He is the one taking decisions."

Sh-"Thats great.But I guess you are the MD.Taking decisions on behalf.

He is your father so."

Both got up paying the bill.Varna froze for a second.Then looked back at him.

V-"No.I.Just.

Handle the work.Please see what I told you.

It was.Nice.

Meeting you."

Shakti gave a nod.And smiled shaking hands with Varna.He was impressed with her boldness.

Sh-"Ihope we will meet again.Ms Shetty."

Varna remembered some thing.Same striking resemblance.She shook away her thoughts.And smilingly answered.

V-"Hopes.I dont go with them.

I believe in.Doing.Actions.See you.Mr. Subramanian."

As she left.Shakti gave a smile which had unsaid thing.He raised his brows.And then his eyes fell on something.Where Varna was sitting while ago.A bracelet which must have fallen from her hand.He took it and had a closer look at it.Then smirked.Keeping it in his pocket.

Sh-"Varna Shetty.Looking forward to this."

Ramya and Priyam had great time whole day.Shopping and looking around places.Till they were exhausted and reached home late evening.Varna was already home.Reading.When Ramya discovered a heart breaking thing according to her.The bracelet she had gifted her sister was missing.She would have flooded whole house with her tears if not.

V-"Relax.It was just a bracelet.Must have fallen somewhere."

R-"No.It wasnt.I giftend that to you with my first income.By selling those paintings.Aththaii.Chitti see.She has lost it somewhere."

She started crying.Varna widened her eyes in shock.Went to console her.

V-"Ramyaa.Stop.

Look at me.You cant be this emotional with things in life.Be practical."

R-"Varna.The gift."

V-"You are the best gift for me in my life.I dont need a materialistic thing to prove it to me.You get that?Stop being a drama queen.I will.

Okay.Try to look for it.Go have dinner.You have an appointment with designer tomorrow."

P-"Good girl.Come ramya.

Varna how was your interview with the hot lad."

Priyam winked at Varna.Who hit her head.Karuna and Ramya gave all looks.

R-"A guy.Wow."

Ramya wiped her face.Went to Varna.Sounding excited.Varna shot daggers at Priyam.

K-"Guy.You liked him how does he look."

Priyam giggled and joined the other two people.

V-"Relax.You people.

It was a formal meeting."

She got up and was retiring to room.

P-"Okay so deal fixed?"

She gave a look to her.Ramya and Karuna also came.

V-"You all are impossible huh."

Thee of them shared a laugh.Ramya went to receive call.

K-"This girl.When will she say yes for big deal of her life."

P-"Soon.Dont worry."

Ramya was on her bed.Moving her legs.Hugging her soft toy.

R-"Really.Reyansh and Nandini are getting engaged."

Vivaan flipped his body.On his bed.He felt so exhausted with work pressure.It was her voice after whole day.helped him to feel better.He had a hoarse voice.

V-"Yeah.Aththai loved Nandini.Green signal from both families.Met last day.So.Engagement will be done after our wedding."

R-"Wow.This is so cool.Send my wishes to both."

V-"Sorry.That you do.I am here only to receive things for me."

R-"How selfish."

Vivaan breathed deeply.Felt the emptiness on the other side of bed.

V-"Ramya.I cant wait to have you here with me.I already feel so weird."

Ramya giggled.

V-"Dont you miss me."

R-"No.I am having great time here.Chitti came you know.After so long.We did shopping.Went to places.I am getting gifts every day.Varna also promised to spend some good amount on me.She is bad ass with money.Such miser."

V-"You can ask me for anything.Dont need to bug anyone."

R-"Hullo.Mister.She is not anyone okay.My sister.

And why should I ask you now.We are yet to become one."

She rolled her tongue inside.Knowing it was chance to tease him."

V-"Tease as much as you want.Let me come in few days.Will make you see moon and stars."

R-"Huh.I already saw."

V-"You havent honey.Still a baby.

Okay now tell me.What do you want as wedding gift."

R-"Why should I tell you.You decide that."

Vivaan's eyes were already giving up.

V-"Ramya.Tell me.

My brain is already loaded with stuff.I cant think of anything.Be fast.I need to plan."

He coughed a little.Then felt the silence on other end."

R-"I dont know.I love surprises.Surprise me.With anything.

So boring Vivaan."

V-"I will.

Teach you a good lesson naughty kid."

R-"You sleep.We are going to watch movie now."

V-"Give me a kiss.I will sleep."

R-"Like Aththai used to give me.When she went for a month to stay at her place.Oh okay."

She giggled getting a response from her fiance.

V-"Impossible.Let it be.I have to teach you hard.Let time come.

Good night."

Ramya cut the call.Then kissed the phone with shyness.She heard a whistle from Priyam on other side.

R-"Chittii"

She came and hugged her niece.

P-"I am so happy for you.Love is in the air."

They found Varna entering the room.Messaging someone from her phone.

P-"I smell something.Messaging at late night."

R-"Oh god.Varnaa.Whose the one."

Varna shot a look to them.She looked so innocent with those pearl like eyes.

V-"What.I am informing Dinesh Uncle.The deal has been okayed.

Tomorrow have to fix another meeting with.Shakti Subramanian."

Priyam and Ramya gave a helpless look.Then raised their brows in teasing manner.

P and R " Oh. Mr. Subramanian to Shakti Subramanian.Nice."

V-"You guys are impossible."

She threw a pillow at them.Both high five each other.

We come across a lot of people in our life.Vivaan and Varna's case is same.You cannot expect to have a simple life.Decisions,desires and situations makes us do.Things which we do not permit.
