Few more days passed.Only difference was Vivaan became.Softened towards Varna.With Pranush.After that night he didnt dare.Think twice before stopping her.Accusing her for anything regarding Pranush.He kept eye on her carefully.Seeing her giving love and warmth to his baby.Same like mother would.He sat some times thinking.How she loves him so much.His mind went back to same thoughts.When he remembered how Ramya and Varna were connected.He again went back.To blaming Varna.For Ramya sbasence in their lives.

It was weekend.Varna wasnt willing to visit home.Priyam was leaving next morning.She invited Vivaan and Varna with Pranush for dinner.She couldnt say no to Priyam.Vivaan came from office bit late.He chatted with Prakash.Asking about his health.He always took care.Keeping check on him.With calls and also on Karuna.

K-"We feel blessed to have son like you.You are so busy with work.Still care ask about us.

You should take.Care of yourself too Vivaan.Face looks pale.Not eating properly."

P-"Was telling you.Why not shift here.Family is family.Cant depend on helpers."

K-"Will talk with Varna today itself.Stay with us also.For few days."

Vivaan didnt knew what to say.He couldnt refuse them on face.He wondered reason for Varnas refusal.She decided before she wont stay with.her own family.Something about her disturbed him always.Girl who wants to stay.Away from her own people.Why would anyone do that.He was called for dinner then.Varna came with Priyam.After insisting her.Karuna saw her plate with shock.

K-"Varna why is your plate empty.Look at this girl."

V-"Aththai please.I dont feel like having anything.Let it be.Will have some fruits."

P-"Fruits for dinner.Who takes fruits.At this hour.Do you know Vivaan.When Ramya and Varna.

Were kids.Used to have hard time feeding Varna.Ramya was never fussy about food.

Akka had hard time.With Varna.So stubborn with eating habits."

Vivaan tried to keep his smile.Mention of Ramya brought back.Memories to him.How can he forget her.Food habits.Her innocence was first hit him.All were chatting.Didnt realise when Varna left table.Priyam understood what must have gone wrong.She stopped Karuna.Went to Varna.Vivaan continued to eat.He felt something amiss.First time between Varna.Her family members.Karuna felt awkward front of him.She was tired to mend.Broken ties with Varna.Didnt knew how to fix her heart.

Priyam entered room.With food plate.She smiled shaking her head.Varna was found.Attending to Pranush.He just woke up.She was checking on him.Made him drink some water.

V-"Chitti I dont want.Have anything please."

P-"From me also.Remember since you were small.You never said no to me.Still baby to me."

Priyam forcefully fed her.She started feel uneasy.They chatted for some time.Varna wasnt feeling well.From inside.Since Priyam was leaving.She was only person.With whom she shared and talked.Now she would be left alone.Priyam gifted her nice colorful dress.Karuna entered room.Startled at something she saw.

K-"Varna where are you looking.See what he has done."

Varna and Priyam looked at direction.Karuna rushed to bed.Pranush was settled in middle.He was moving his hands and legs.Due to which his small quilt.Came till his face.Covering his face almost.Karuna moved quilt.Pranush started crying.Little as he wasnt used to be.In someone elses arms.He couldnt recognize Karuna.

P-"Look at this naughty boy.Left him for few seconds.Eager to grow fast."

K-"Varna he is too small.Should be careful.What if I wouldnt have come.Think about it.

Its not easy to handle babies.Pranush has problems too."

Varna was taken back by Karunas tone.Priyam felt uneasiness.She tried making Karuna understand.Who was consoling crying Pranush.Varna wanted to take him.She didnt let her.Asked them to come down.Karuna wasnt appreciating.Another thing too.Varnas empty neck and wrists.No vermilion on her head.It wasnt right.Be in such way.After marriage.She didnt say anything.Pricked her from time.She was seeing her like this.

It was time to leave.Vivaan was waiting.Varna felt guilty.But Priyam gave her support.Once they were down.Karuna had Pranush in arms.Who was normal.Seeing his fathers face.She gave him to Vivaan.Kissed his head.Tying black thread on his tiny wrists.

K-"Will save him from bad eyes Vivaan.Suggest you to hire.Someone be with him.Its crucial time.

He needs special care too.You both must be busy.Not possible always.Look after."

Varna heard that.She felt dejected.Not by concern Karuna had for Pranush.But by level of trust.She held for her.Whatever happened few minutes ago.Wasnt taken in good light by Karuna.Vivaan took everyones leave.Prakash took him bit away.He frowned confused at this gesture.

P-"Vivaan wanted to ask you something.Dont know how to.Its bit strange."

V-"Appa feel free to ask.Anything please.What is it."

P-"Its about Varna.And Pranush too.Is Varna.I mean.Is she able to.Look after Pranush well.

Circumstances in which everything happened.Went too fast.We did thought.She will be able to.

We didnt talk with her that much.We were worried for Pranush.Dont come here too now."

Right then before Vivaan could say anything.Pranush was feeling uneasy.He started crying.Wriggling in Vivaans arms.He rocked him.Trying every way to calm him down.When Varna came.Taking him in her arms.As soon as he went there.He settled comfortably.Rubbing his eyes with tiny palms.All were shocked to see this.Prakash became numb.He didnt have to get answer now.What he questioned.He bet his eyes down.Karuna stood in silence too.Varna didnt look at them.Priyam smiled.Kissed baby and Varna.Varna got inside car.After giving final hug to her.Vivaan touched everyones feet.

V-"Appa I guess.You got answer.Regarding which you were worried.Please dont worry.

About Pranush.Im there for him.We all know reason.Why this marriage took place.Good night."

Vivaan started car.Prakash and Karuna were standing.With guilty faces.They didnt knew.While trying to be concerned about.Both their daughter and grandson.They did blunder again.Hurt Varna breaking her more.This was going to cost them big.Vivaan drove car in silence.He could see Varna sitting like statue.Pranush was already sleeping.Till now he was having slight doubts.With Varna and her family.Few other things he noticed.After which he could say.Something was not right.He wanted to answer Prakash.Back about Varna being mother to Pranush.He didnt knew what stopped him.Maybe he should have.

Next morning Varna was up early.She talked with Priyam over phone.She couldnt see her off in airport.Because Pranush would be alone.She found Vivaan leaving early than usual.She left to continue with her routine.Vivaan checked time.Entered airport.There was still time for flight.He called to give wishes to Priyam.When she asked him.If he could come over.She needed to talk with him.Something important before leaving.He found her waving hand at him.

P-"So sorry dear.Have to call you here.Like this."

V-"Its ok Chitti.Please dont be so formal.Where are Appa and Aththai."

P-"Wanted to confirm.But I refused them.Weather is unpredictable and.Im used to travelling."

V-"Have safe flight.Dont worry about home.Im here.Make sure Appa and Aththai.Are doing well."

P-"I know that.We got son in you.Vivaan and cant doubt.When heard about your and Ramyas.

Wedding I didnt doubt.On you once.Because I knew.You must be gem."

V-"Ramya can never speak.Ill of others.She must have praised me lot to you.Miss her.

She cheated on us."

Priya touched his shoulder.She could see him.Getting uneasy and hard on himself.

He looked way different.Guy he was before.Ramyas grief shattered him."

P-"Ramya wasnt one Vivaan.It was Varna."

Vivaans eyes shot up.He had tears.But shock was written on face.He wasnt prepared to hear this.Priyam breathed deeply.She has to say this.Few things should be sorted out.Only way to save Varna.Vivaan too from leading life with distaste.

P-"I know.You met Varna first.Even before Ramya.How you met and.What happened.

Maybe fate had it planned.None could act against it."

V-"Chitti I.Why are you saying this now."

P-"Because there is reason.Behind every incident in our life.You met Varna first.Then Ramya.

You fell for Ramya.Got married and she left you.Have you every thought.Ramya wasnt alone.

She was never.She was one who couldnt breath.Without her life Varna.You took her away.

V-"So that was my fault.Chitti I should have been.Punished for that.Why my Ramya.

Had to go through.Terrible times.Yearning to meet her sister.Wanting to spend time.With her.

P-"You hate her.Vivaan fiercely.I have seen your eyes.From time seen you.Could feel anger.

P-"This is why.Im compelled.Face you like this dear.Dont have right.Interfere in your lives.

P-"So much to say son.Kept it hidden inside you.Why did you."

V-"Because I couldnt.Whom should I tell all this.To my family.Who feel shattered.Seeing my life.

Breaking into pieces.Ramyas family.Who dont know.How to handle themselves.

Or their another daughter.Who doesnt care.See their face.Im man.Cant cry over my fate.

But Im human.Have emotions and feelings.Which were crushed miserably."

Vivaan cleaned his tears.Priyam shut her eyes.Something big has happened.Creating pool of misunderstandings.She feared more now.Vivaan has anger for Varna.Reason was way big.She was in fix.How to make things in place.Both were ruining their lives.Holding each other.Responsible for something.Havent done.

P-"In life we have to hold.Onto someone.Be with us in this journey.Life is too short.If we think.

Vivaan didnt knew.What Priyam hinted at.He heard her wisely.In state to tkae him back.Those dreadful days.As Priyam left finally.Her words haunted him.Ringing in his ears.He didnt have answer for any questions.he didnt care to find.He thought.All he remembered.He found pendant.Ramya never kept away from her.Which had sisters pictures.It was reason of her.Going away from him.He kept it to himself.Seeing at it every time.His anger towards girl.Increasing ten times more.Developing into hate.He kicked his car in frustration.For going back in same route again.Then he thought.What could be reason.Varna wasnt Ramya.Ramya became his.And he could see.Himself other side.Memories flashing back.When he met Varna Shetty.He didnt knew Ramya then.

Back at home.Varna was nervous.In kitchen boiling milk for Pranush.She could hear voices from main dining hall.Her eyes felt heavy.Due to medicine effect she was taking.Pranush kept her awake whole night.Why everything had to happen.Suddenly and at this time.It was surprising to find Reyansh and Nandini.At door when she saw them.Weekend was starting from tomorrow.So they came for two days.She couldnt be easy with people around.From which she run away.Same had to happen here too.

N-"Sorry Varna we came without informing.We thought to surprise.It was my husbands plan."

R-"Really Nandu darling.Varna Anni.When does Anna return from work."

V-"Dont know.I mean.At different timings.Not fixed.Please can you call me.By name.

Feels weird."

Nandini and Reyansh shared.Look and they understood.Reyansh tried to make.Situation easy in ways.He continued to chat.For some time.They played with Pranush too.Varna was feeling weak.Not able to keep her body straight.Feeling nauseated from morning.Sickness increased with anxiety.From arrival of them.She went inside to get something.Till time Reyansh and Nandini had doubts.Nothing was working here.Plan went wrong for sending them here.Alone and it backfired.Pranush started crying.Nandini gave him to Reyansh.Went to call Varna inside.She was at door of her room.Widened her eyes in shock.And fear finding Varna on floor.Sweating and mumbling something.She shouted for Reyaansh.
