Vivaan was on different mission.Facing Varna wouldnt be easy today he thought so.Surprisingly he didnt find her getting angry.Suing him for their state in morning.She looked rather embarassed.This earned him some additional points.It seemed.He was making breakfast.Trying to make for change.Wearing an apron.Chef hat which gave him an adorable look.

From morning her heart has been racing fast.She was resting her head on his shoulder.Whole night and they stayed like that.How did she let that happen.She was rather embarassed to face him.She brushed her wet locks of hair.Then taking deep breath.Looked at Pranush.

Var-"Help me Pranu.I feel weird.To face him now.What to do."

Pranush smiled at her.Then got busy sucking his thumb.He made face.As if taste wasnt good.Varna smiled and embraced him.

Coming down she could hear.Weird noises from kitchen.Her eyes widened in horror seeing messed up place.As Vivaan was covered with flour.And what not.In chefs look.First she couldnt believe her eyes.Then burst out in laugh.Which was heard by him.For seconds he stared at her.Wish this smile would always be first thing.He could see on her face every morning.

Varna saw him catching her already.She coughed to take his attention.Taking look at her kitchen area.Successfully messed up by him.He scratched his head.Grinning at her.

V-"Good morning.Actually I thought.I should help you.With breakfast today.So I was."

Var-"I can see that.You didnt had to."

V-"Why.You know I was very good cook.Back in student life.I used to make breakfast for myself.Sometimes in need."

She could hear last part.Of his sentence in mumbles.Shaking her head she tucked her stole.In way fixing it so that she can start.Clearing this mess.When he stopped her.

V-"Hey its my day.To serve you.I mean let me take duty here for day.You go and rest."

Var-"Its alright.I will be able to manage.You go and be with Pranu."

V-"I think you are doubting my skills."

Var-"yeah.Already saw them.You have made my kitchen mess.I have to start with breakfast now."

V-"I was preparing for breakfast only."

Var-"Breakfast?So what did you make.Out of this flour.Spread on your apron.Rest here and there scattered."

V-"That.I was trying to make dosa.Never mind.I had plan B."

Var-"Listen its late and I dont."

V-"You are always in hurry.For everything.Now go and sit on table.I will serve."

She was pushed out of kitchen.On two minds praying for safety of kitchen.

After waiting for like 5 minutes.Varna decided to step in and see what was happening.

Vivaan came dazzling her.With tray on his hand.He made her take her seat.Started serving her toast.Fruits and juice.Saying something to which she was completely unaware.She was lost in her own thoughts.He was trying to help her out in every way.Was he really showing her way.To live life.To be hopeful.Can they be together.Her thoughts were broken.As she found him.Standing with his hands on hips.Giving him look.

V-"What?I worked so hard.Skipping my work out in morning.Here you are not even.Interested it seems."

Var-"No I.I mean.Thanks."

V-"Mrs Varna Reddy.Go for it first.Before having you are passing your verdict."

His smirk and closeness.Made her shiver as she realized what he was saying.She gave nod.Having bite from toast.Sipping juice.Him joining her and for first time.Both had breakfast together.Without any argument.Warning or under any compulsion.Vivaan munched on toasts.Looking at his wife.

She was slowly taking normal course.He could see her lost.Obviously in change their relationship was taking.

He took shower later.Finishing some office work for day.He has decided to not visit work place.Till they finish this wedding function and come back.He came to room to get some file.While working in his study.When he found her things scattered on bed.Packing stuff for wedding they had to leave tomorrow early morning.He has to pack his stuff too.He could see her biting her lips.Every time checking out her outfits.Then taking another one.She was confused it seemed.He can help but will she accept that help.He coughed taking her attention.Dress fell from her hands.

He shake his head.Picking it up for her.She felt odd.She has made mess out of room.With her things scattered here and there.What to do she was confused.First she was attending his family function first time.She forgot to ask Shivani what things to take.Before they left.Now she had no option.She was picking some simple designed outfits.Vivaan saw that.He had an idea on mind.

V-"You are going to wear all this.For functions?"

Var-"Yeah.All are new.Your Mom gave me.Why?"

V-"No they are nice.But."

Var-"What?"

V-"Leave it.You wont like it.Mom will understand you Im sure."

Var-"Wait.Tell me."

Vivaan rolled his eyes.Lips pursed with tint of naughtiness.His wife was naive too.He didnt face her.Playing with his hands.Made innocent face.

V-"Mom called up.I forgot to tell you.She wanted you to pack few sarees.Have to wear for functions there.Maybe there is dress code.Dont worry.Im sure she will understand.You wont be able to keep her word."

Varna thought for minute.Looking back at her bag.Which was filled with no space left.Vivaan left taking his file.He could sense her already undecided.When he was at door.He turned around to see.Her taking out dresses she packed.Instead she took out from her wardrobe.Few sarees from some different era it looked to him.Nevermind he smiled.At least for his mothers sake.She agreed to take them.

After dinner both were done with packing.Pranushs packing was also done.As small one was very possessive about his each and every thing.Both Vivaan and Varna were bit unsure.How to take baby along with them.Place must be having many people.Crowded but they cant even think of skipping it.Vivaan locked bags keeping them in line.Varna looked at Pranush.Sleeping peacefully.

V-"Dont worry.He will be fine."

Var-"Yeah I hope so.He have been very cranky lately.I dont know.How he will adjust there."

V-"Even if he starts throwing tantrums.His mother is there to handle."

Var-"My son doesnt throw tantrums.Please.He never been to such places.I mean attending functions like this.Im concerned about his health too."

He was touched every time.To see concern and love in Varnas eyes.For Pranush.She kissed her babys head.Lulling him to sleep.Vivaan and Varna both were aware of Pranushs health.He has been doing well.Still for his age he has to be taken care of.For having weak heart.Doctors have been keeping him on check.Vivaan knew his son will be fine.Because he was in safe hands.

Vivaan came to kitchen to get water.At night when he checked on all lights switched off.He frowned seeing light from outside.He opened door finding Varna sitting on swing.By now he knew this much.In whole house this is her favorite place.

It looked like it will rain.But weather was calm.Soothing her tension to some extent.She let her feet touch grass.Slowly giving balance to swing.

V-"Tensed are we.Coffee?"

Her eyes opened.As she heard his husky voice.she sat in still position stopping swing.While he caught it on time.Standing there with smile on face.She adjusted her hair.Behind her ear.They looked beautiful in dark.Her eyes sparkled.As if telling a lot of things.In this silence between them.He passed on mug of coffee to her.She hesitated but accepted it.He sipped still standing like that.

Var-"Why will I be tensed.I wasnt sleepy."

V-"Its okay Varna.We are humans.It happens.I do understand.It must not be easy for you.To face my family.The people.Who may say a lot of things.To you but I know that you will be able to handle them.Just need to relax."

Var-"I dont know.Maybe I still need more time.Im scared what if.I do any blunder there.I dont want your family to be ashamed because of me."

V-"Stop watching too many dramatic films.My family is cool.Naren Uncle is also cool.Like Dad.You will get to know when you meet him.We are going there to attend wedding.Not settle there."

Var-"Wish get through this."

V-"Varna I wanted to ask you something else.Since we are going to Chennai.We will staying there for a day or two.So I thought.We should also meet Appa and Aththai."

He could see color draining away from her face.He was expecting this.She gripped on mug.As if holding onto her feelings.

Var-"If you wish you can.I dont want to."

V-"Are you sure I mean.They are your family after all.If they get to know we are there."

She got up.Startling her.He cursed timing at his best.

Var-"I dont remember last time.When I had family.They didnt made me feel so.Thanks for coffee.Good night."

He was expecting an outburst from her.Not this bad.Well he couldnt blame her either.He wondered what actually happened between her.And her family.Prakash and Karuna used to ask.About Varna when they had talk with him.But Varna didnt spoke to them over phone.Can this gap be filled between them.

Leaving home never felt this bad to her.Varna was sitting in plane.As they boarded their flight for Chennai.She found Vivaan siting beside her sleeping.Smiling at him.Pranush has been restless from last night.He was awake crying.Till his father made him take tour of whole house.Garden and pacify him like this.While Varna was sleeping Vivaan took charge for her.She was thankful.She felt her baby moving.Trying to look around everything.

Things change as time flies.It felt like yesterday they were in same situation.Going back to Hyderabad.So much has taken place.In between but surprisingly it was mostly positive.She didnt knew why every time.She thinks of visiting Chennai.Her home town.Her heart churns with pain.As if all memories coming back to haunt her.Giving her panic attack.She held onto Pranush.She has to save herself anyhow.She kissed him keeping him closer to his heart.

Pr-"Amaaa.Pranuuuu.fiiiiiii."

His broken words.Made her smile giving ease from tension.She wont break down.Anymore she decided.Finally they arrived in Chennai.Drive to place where they will be staying for few days.Was exciting as well as tensed for Varna.Vivaan was better after taking good nap.Keeping his son busy.Varna was thinking what she have to face.Car stopped finally entering premises of lavish.Big bungalow.They could see people moving here and there.After all it was wedding.

Vivaan came out with Pranush.Hearing his non stop talks.In his own language.His eyes fell on his wife.Who looked as white as dead.He held her hand.Eyeing her to be easy.

V-"You are here as my responsibility Varna.I assure you.I wont let anyone put you or your self respect down."

That line and gesture melted Varnas nervousness.Within minutes and staring at him she walked.Inside gates.She could group of men receiving them.Followed by ladies who were in whispers eyeing Varna.Shivani Vikram also came along with them.Varna felt relieved seeing them.

Sh-"Varna felt like years.Have seen you.Tell me about your health now."

She felt relaxed with warm hug from Shivani.As she kissed her forehead lovingly.

Var-"Im good now.How are you all.House felt empty without you all."

It was surprise for Shivani to hear that from her.She never felt this happy.Giving nod to her she held her hands.Taking her to women folk.

Varna could see Vivaan touching someones feet.Who took him in a hug.Looked like man with simiar looks like Vikram.Naren was Vikrams long time family friend.He patted Vivaans back.As his wife showered him with all affections.

N-"Vikram your son has grown more tall.In these years.He has surpassed you in looks also."

They all laughed.Vivaans face was red with all complements he was getting.Shivani brought Varna and introduced her to everyone.With shaky hands she touched Narens feet.

Sh-"Anna she is Varna.Light of our home.Vivaans wife."

N-"Girls dont touch feet.My dear.Well Shivani I can see.Light you got for your son.She is more beautiful than you sorry."

Vik-"This even I have to accept."

Vivaan stood there folding his hands.Smirking at Varna.As she felt her face flushed.It was true she never felt like this.People can be nice too.Using such words for her.She had tears in her eyes.Being overwhelmed as she was taken in hug by Narens wife.Later bride to be Niharika also came down.Excited to meet Vivaan after long time.

Nih-"Vivaan anna your wife looks so pretty.I love her eyes."

V-"Even I do."

Varna couldnt hear his words properly.He was being fast and all were busy to hear his almost whisper.But she knew.He said something.Pranush started crying.Shivani gave him back to Varna.Who was lulling him.With kisses and all attempts.

Nih-"Pranu baby is so cute.See he has got Varna Anni's eyes."

Her words as if hit Varna.She looked at Pranush.Who hid himself in her neck.This has to best thing.She got to hear today.Sense of content and possession came upon her.He was her son.Wasnt he.Vivaan stared at them from far.What did this girl wanted in life.Such small things which are so precious to her.He wished this wedding to play biggest role.In shaping up their lives.
