FRANKENSTEIN
21 | Can't help falling in Love.

"AHH!" I yelled my eyes flying open.

I jumped up in shock, my body rolled over to the right. My arms flailed out in front of me as I was about to take a tumble off the end of the bed. A cold arm wrapped around my waist pulling my body into a cold chest.

"Shh, it's okay. I won't leave, I swear by it." Aro spoke in my ear with a soft tone.

My nose scrunched at his words. Just as I went to turn to face him, his grip on my waist tightened immensely and I was rendered unable to move. My confusion spiked as he nuzzled his face into my neck.

Was Aro Volturi cuddling me?

A small smile pulled at my lips, it was obvious he didn't know I was awake. "Aro." I mumbled.

In an instant I was flipped over, with Aro on top of me. My eyes widened at the fast movements as well as our close proximity.

"Frankie, my love. You are finally awake." His eyes held a flamboyant look as he gazed at me longingly. "It has been far too long." He whispered his eyes travelling down to my lips.

It was then a thought occurred to me. Aro and I, we had kissed. Actually kissed, it wasn't a dream - our lips had truly touched. And I was naked when we kissed! I was in the bathtub - oh my god! Aro saw me naked!

"Uh... um... how long have I been out?" I questioned my words getting jumbled, the more I thought about our first kiss.
I was practically delirious for keepsake.

My cheeks gained a very noticeable red color, my mind going crazy. Aro seemed to smirk as if he knew exactly what I was thinking about.

"Well, about five days in total. Carlisle said you were only suppose to be out for three, I grew very worried." His voice drawled out the words slowly.

My shirt rode up revealing the sensitive skin on my hip, Aro noticed this as well. His right hand came down resting on the skin - drawing light circles causing small goosebumps to rise on me. "You're thoughts are most interesting, my Frankie." I had forgotten he could read the current thoughts passing through my head.

As soon as the words 'my, Frankie' left his lips something inside me seemed to switch on. It was odd, it was a twisting in my stomach. My core tightened and my breath drew short. I didn't understand what I was feeling.

A smile graced his lips as he looked at me. "You like that title, hmm." He purred against me. "Oh, ever so innocent, you can't even comprehend what that feeling you have is." He sighed against me pulling back slightly.

I locked eyes with him, a confused expression over-taking me. Through my lashes I held the look equivalent to that of what Emmett referred to as a 'lost kitten'. "What do you mean?" I asked.

"Never mind. How do you feel?" He rose a singled perfect eyebrow taking away the hand which was drawing circles around my hip, and placing it on my cheek.

"I feel fine." I told him honestly rubbing my head against his cold hand.

"Oh, thank the heavens! Allow me to call a meal in for you and we shall read our book as celebration." He exclaimed with a smile. "I'll only be a minute." He slowly pulled away beginning to stand.

"Wait, what exactly happened while I was out?" I quickly asked wanting to know.

"Well, you see for the first two days you would not stop shivering. I even moved to the other side of the room, in an attempt to make you warm once again. The only times you woke up was to rid yourself of substances, and after you used the bucket you fell right back asleep. On the last two days you stopped vomiting all together, as well as the shivering. You were simply sleeping - in what I assume to be a recovery state from the illness." Aro looked saddened. "I never want you eating something that make's you ill again, and most definitely do not try and hide it from me. I will find out. Do I make myself clear?" He spoke dangerously at the end, looking at me in a stern way.

I slowly nodded my head watching as he walked out of the room after the confirmation. I let out a breath I was holding, cringing after the nasty smell of my breath hitting me full force. How was Aro around me, with my breath smelling so bad.

This was so embarrassing, he didn't get bad breath at all - and here I was smelling like a clown who just crawled out of the sewers. With a shiver I got out of bed and quickly made my way to the bathroom. There I stood after five minutes of continuously brushing my teeth, and two mouthfuls of Listerine examining my teeth in the mirror. I made sure to test my breath before walking out of the bathroom.

I was slightly surprised to see Aro leaning against his desk, a bowl full of chicken soup in his hand. "Come, sit it's time for you to eat."

I didn't hesitate in practically running over there sitting at his desk. He chuckled a bit once he set down the bowl with a spoon and watched me hungrily eat it. If he wasn't standing right there I may have just poured the entire bowl-full in my mouth.

"Well, someone's hungry." Aro laughed as he watched me eat.

"How long has it been since you fed?" I asked mouthful of soup.

"Since the day you went shopping." He shrugged. "We have a scheduled feeding in a couple of hours so I will go then." He told me upon seeing the look I was giving him.

I didn't want him starving himself for me.

"I'm sorry for this." I barely muttered before picking up the bowl and pouring the soup into my mouth.

I didn't even want to savoir the delicious flavor it held, I just needed food in my stomach pronto. Quickly I gulped down the soup with chunks of chicken until nothing remained in the bowl. As I set down the bowl I looked to Aro apologetically.

"Sorry about that. I was just really hungry, and yeah..." I awkwardly trailed off.

"No apologizing for something like that, I want you feeling comfortable around me - not scared. Now," He paused looking at me. Within seconds I was back on the bed, my body snuggled in Aro's form. My eyes widened at how fast he was. "I believe we have a book to read." He held up our book, 'Of Mice and Men'.

With a smile I listened to Aro's perfect reading skills, as his lovely English accent floated off. He read the beginning of chapter three, while I listened with a smile. This was perfect, me here with Aro just enjoying our time together. Goodness, was it perfect. I knew then and there, that without a doubt I was falling in love with this man. We may have only known each other for little time, but everything I felt for him was bliss. I couldn't help falling in love.
