FRANKENSTEIN
To be Reborn;

00 | Preface

October 31, 2016

DOCTOR PATRICK CARSON was gifted with a true talent of determination. Doctor Carson was determined to be the first man in history to create an antidote to death. This insane dream of his piled years upon years of heavy research and experimentation to his shoulders. His research soon landed him a job at SHARE; Scientific Human Advanced Restricted Experimentation. The American run government facility was the cause behind many incidents that had taken place over the past years.

These incidents included 'the man who grew scales' during 1996 and 'the women that destroyed a car with only her mind' back in 2001. However; there was no doubt that SHARE'S biggest success would be taking place today. October 31, 2016; would be the day that a girl would awake from the grave.

~

The laboratory was in silence. The only noise coming from the machines, which almost seemed to be mocking Doctor Carson. In its entirety the lab was filled with a sum of thirty people, all of whom seemed to be a bucket of nerves. None more than Patrick Carson, who couldn't stand still. Of course, there was a reason behind all these nerves. Today SHARE'S six million dollar project was to be put to the test. This was the day a young woman would rise from the dead.

"Do we have everything in order and ready to begin the procedure." Doctor Carson questioned hoarsely. He felt like his stomach would drop at any given second, in just a few minutes time everyone would see whether or not his hard work paid off.

"Yes, project 2935F had her lungs completely dried, any water from the drowning was vacuumed out." The nurse confirmed flipping through pages of the project's file.

"Overall?" Doctor Carson prepared to inject the body with his Venitilium Serum.

"The project's entire body has been modified internally from her blood cells, all the way to the chip in her brain." The Nurse put down the files taking a deep breath having high hopes for this experiment.

No words were spoken as the doctor began sliding multiple metal needles into different places on the subject's skin. Entered in project 2935F were syringes that would push the doctor's Venitilium death serum through the body. However, on both sides of the patient's head were circular objects which would distribute large amounts of electricity.

With a deep breath, Doctor Carson quickly pushed a syringe full of adrenaline into the project's chest. As soon as all the liquid was gone he pulled the syringe out, and immediately covered the body with a large white sheet. The process had begun.

"Okay, the adrenaline's streaming through its body as I speak. Course the Venitilium in it, now!" Doctor Carson commanded. Swiftly the sound of a slimy like substance filled the air as the syringes pushed the serum into the patient's body.

Within seconds the syringes were drained and the serum was coursing through the body. The machines holding the syringes in place backed away from the body pulling them out along with it.

"On my mark, we start the shocking process, and we do not stop!" Doctor Carson yelled watching the as nothing moves from under the white sheet. "3, 2, 1, Go!" At the sound of the lead doctor's voice, all the other workers quickly powered on the electricity.

The subject's body began shaking lightly as large amounts of electricity coursed through its veins. Other than a slight shake the subject did not react. After a few moments of nothing, the doctor began to bite his lip.

"Turn it up!" He demanded. Larger amounts of electricity were sent to the subject causing it to shake even more. Multiple people around the room cringed as they heard a slight burning of the body. That amount of electricity was beginning to burn the project.

'Come on girly, I chose to bring you back for a reason. I know you can do this.' Doctor Carson mumbled to under his breath revealing the subject was, in fact, a female. He wished with all his might for the project to come alive once more.

"Go to maximum power!" It wasn't planned for them to go to maximum power, but the doctor was becoming desperate.

"Sir, the subject is burning as it is! Not to mention going to the maximum has a large risk!" A worker argued to his boss, not believing maximum power was a smart move.

"Quite frankly, I don't give a damn! You're fired as soon as this is over! Now do as I say, and go to maximum power!" Everyone quickly did as he said, not wanting to lose their job-alike to the previous worker.

As soon as the change in power was made the subject's body began shaking violently and the sound of electricity went around the room. No one could do a thing as the machines backfired, not prepared for such energy. Electricity sparked around the room flying off walls causing for people to throw themselves on the ground in fear of being electrified.

After the chaos ended Doctor Carson slowly stood from the ground expecting to see a failed project. He was pleasantly surprised when he found that the subject was sitting in an upright position on the metal table. The white sheet was still on the subject covering its looks from everyone. The electricity voltage that had been connected to its head was now hanging from the ceiling still emitting small sparks.

The room was stilled into a shocked silence as everyone gazed upon the subject's sitting form under the white sheet. Carefully the somewhat crazed doctor approached the project. Almost hesitantly the doctor ripped the sheet from it revealing the body of a nude girl that looked to be around the age of seventeen.

It became apparent to everyone that the girl was rather attractive, more than most. Her pale skin seemed smooth and almost glistened. The hair on her head was long and fell down her back in auburn waves, with her lips a full pinkish color. Her build was slim, she was no doubt the heartache of most guys back when she was alive.

The subject's green eyes seemed to be focused on nothing and held a blank look. The doctor allowed his eyes to graze down the nude body in shock. Doctor Carson was over the moon, this was the body of a girl that had been dead not even five minutes ago, and now here she was, sitting straight, alive!

"It's alive! She's alive! Oh, she's alive! She's alive!" He cried out waving his arms in the air. The subject's attention seemed to finally be gained as its eyes quickly lit with life and focused on the first thing she saw. Doctor Carson.

Doctor Carson studied the re-born human in astonishment.

"Hello." The subject spoke quietly averting her gaze from the doctor's taking in the room around her. She couldn't help but stare at all the people in wonder. She couldn't quite remember whether or not she had ever seen a person before. In fact, she couldn't remember anything other than how to speak.

"Hello!" Doctor Carson eagerly said excitedly, ready to converse with his newest success.

The project brought her eyes back to the man. "Who are you, and who am I?" Project 2935F asked innocently.

That took the doctor by surprise, he'd thought she'd be able to remember her previous life. Then again no one knew the side effects of death. However; the doctor couldn't bring himself to care about her memories all that much. Even if she had remembered it wasn't like she'd be getting to live her old life anyway, she had been dead for God's sake!

On a split second decision, Doctor Carson answered. "I am your creator, and you my dear are Frankenstein." Project 2935F; Frankenstein nodded her head slowly. "I am Frankenstein." The words slipped out in an innocent voice, almost child-like.

It was then that it became apparent that Frankenstein truly remembered nothing, not even her real name. In her mind, she had no other name, only Frankenstein. With a wild grin and clap of his hands, Doctor Carson turned to the starstruck others in the room. "I want Doctor Carlisle Cullen on the line, pronto."
