A/n: Another Rin oneshot! An idea popped into my head and I had to type this out. It's a bit weird but I like it, so I hope everyone else does too? They're in college right now, so keep that in mind. (Also, I know that Rin would probably be awkward around girls but bare with me XD)

A Momo oneshot will be up next :)

"Oi! Where do you think you're going with my friend, Sharkboy?!" I called out to the magenta haired guy and my slightly tipsy roommate. I rushed past the sea of dancing, drunk college kids to make it to the two retreating figures. First college party of my life and my friend was already ditching me!

"Aww, (F/n)-chan, I'm in good hands, I promise!" Minako giggled while firmly gripping onto the boy's forearms. "Uh, you still have the keys to our dorm, yeah?"

"Well, of course I do," I replied with furrowed brows.

"Ok then! So there's no problem here, right?" She slurred out, leaning onto the guy for support.

I turned towards him, wagging my finger at him. "What are you, huh? Are you that guy that like picking up drunk girls at parties?" I spat at him with venom.

He bared a smirk, which his weird, sharp teeth were on display. "You don't need to worry... Uh--"

"It's (F/n)."

"Yeah, (F/n). Don't worry! I don't fully take advantage of a girl, ok? I ask consent." He turned towards Minako. "So, you want to have sex, right?"

"Absolutely!" She chirped excitedly. "I'll see you later, ok?" The two left the dorm that held the party and went to wherever.

That had been my unfortunate first meeting of Rin Matsuoka during my freshman year of college. After that party, there had been a few instances when him and my friend would meet up, but that ended completely. Minako had moved on and so did Rin. But his reputation reigned on.

I guess I can agree that he had that sort of attractiveness to him that a lot of girls cannot resist. Plus, he was on his way to become an Olympic swimmer. He already had the perfect body.

How did I know that much about Rin?

I ended up being friends with the dork. Don't ask me how this happened. It'd take too long to talk about. But I can tell you it's been such a whirlwind of events to lead me here.

But, at least Rin proved to be a better guy than I originally thought of him to be. He was dedicated to his passion and he was kind to others. He cares for his friends and family. And he's a great person to have a laugh with.

And thus, gradually and stupidly, I fell in love with that very dork.

~*~*~*~*~

"I win again!" I cheered boastfully. I hopped on top of Rin's bed and danced around obnoxiously. Rin and two of our other friends, Jun and Kai, groaned in unison. Ah, what a beautiful sound.

"How are you so good in (f/g)?" Rin grumbled appalled. "I even play by myself so I can beat you for once!"

I plopped back down onto my spot next to him and ruffled his magenta locks. "You boys best know who the most supreme is!" I gloated with a smile. I cupped my ear. "C'mon and say it. Who's the best?" I was greeted with silence. "Don't be sore losers!"

"Don't be so high and mighty, (F/n)-chan. You shall be defeated!" Jun proclaimed, throwing a fist into the air.

"In your dreams, Jun-kun!" I laughed. I checked the time on my phone and nearly fell off the bed with shock. "Wow, it's ten already?"

"Oh god, I better get going or my roomie is going to lock me out again," Kai said while getting onto his feet. "You coming (F/n)?"

"Yeah, I am." I did the same as Kai and got up onto my feet. Then, I let out a burp. "I guess I'll pay for the pizza next time, eh?"

"Aw, (F/n), you don't have to! I'll happily pay for next time," Jun replied with a warm smile.

"Are you sure?" I asked, unsure about the offer.

"Of course!"

"Oi, stop flirting in our room," Rin responded while nudging his roommate's leg with his foot. "It's weird. Don't flirt with (F/n)."

"Aww, is someone jealous of our love?" Jun joked while heading over to their bathroom.

"Ha! You wish," Rin snickered as Jun went in the bathroom. I felt a pang in my heart as he said that. I know I shouldn't feel so down about it since we're only friends... "I need to talk to you about something, (F/n)."

I gave a side glance to Kai, gesturing him he can go. "I'll meet you by the elevators, ok?" The brunette boy nodded and left Rin and Jun's dorm. "What you want, Sharkboy?"

He grimaced at my nickname for him. It was the very same one I first called him by when we met. "One of my best friends from my home town is going to come visit tomorrow." I raised an eyebrow at him, waiting for him to continue as what this has got to do with me. "I want you to meet him."

"Oh," was all I can reply with.

"Oh? That is ok, right?" He asked me with his eyebrows knitted together with worry.

"Yeah, that's fine. I'll be happy to meet your friend, Rin," I answered him with a warm smile. My grin faltered as a thought came to mind. "Don't tell me you're planning on bringing him to Kai's party."

"Of course I am!" Rin said. "Why wouldn't I? Maybe he'll be able to find a pretty girl."

I rolled my eyes at his reason. "Wow, what a wonderful visiting experience..." I then asked him in a teasing manner, "So how come you want me to meet him? You're not planning on hooking us up, are you?"

Rin's cheeks flushed. "Pshh, I'm not trying to hook the two of you up," he snapped. "I-I just thought it'd be pretty cool if two of my friends met."

I pursed my lips. "Hmm? What about the others? Like Kai?"

"Well, he'll meet them too. I'm just letting you know that you're going to meet him too," Rin murmured. "D-Don't you need to go back to your room?"

I let out an audible sigh. Rin never seems to be honest sometimes. "Fine, bye Rin." I turned and walked over to the elevators where Kai was still waiting for me. "Oh hey, thanks for waiting. That took a little longer than I expected."

Kai pressed the up button the elevators. "Nah, it's alright." Side by side, we waited. "What did Rin talk to you about?"

"About how one of his friends is coming to visit and he wants me to meet him," I told the brunette while stuffing my hands into the pockets of my (f/c) sweatpants. When I didn't I get a response, I averted my gaze over to Kai. He held a smug expression on his face. "What?"

"Rin wants to introduce you to one of his closest friends, eh?" He questioned me while nudging me on the shoulder.

I wish Kai never knew of my crush on Rin.

"Oh shut up. It's not like that," I grumbled, shifting my eyes over to the opening doors. We stepped in and pressed the button for our floor. "You heard him before. Why flirt with me?"

"I think he was jealous," Kai chuckled.

"Yeah, right. He's probably weirded out that Jun likes to flirt with me all the time."

"He's jealous."

"No, he's not," I grunted stubbornly. The elevator dinged and let us out onto our floor.

"I'm telling you, he likes you," Kai said as we walked down the hallways.

"And I'm telling you you're wrong."

"When are you ever going to believe me?"

"When Rin actually shows signs that he likes me more than a friend."

"He does that already!"

"... Shut up." I made it to my room first. "Did you want to say hi to your girlfriend?" I suggested as I started unlocking the door.

"Nah, she's probably sleeping right now. I'll see her tomorrow morning," Kai murmured. "Later, (F/n). And I'm still sure that Rin likes you!"

"As if!" I shouted back at him before entering my room. I heard shuffling in Minako's bed. Oops, I probably woke her up. "Oh, hey sleepyhead."

The raven haired girl groggily sat up on her bed and yawned. "(F/n)-chan, it's late."

"I know. I realized."

"Too preoccupied with Rin Matsuoka?"

"NO." A giggle echoed through the dark room as I went around to get ready for bed. "Shut up. You and your boyfriend are the same and it's annoying."

"Is it our fault that we want you to be with Rin? And how we both believe he returns the feelings?" Minako replied in the pitch black.

"Isn't it weird though?" I asked her as I slipped on my favorite pajamas.

"(F/n), that happened a year and a half ago, I don't care. I'm happy with Kai and I want you to be happy too. You should just tell him how you feel."

I slipped into the covers of my bed, stiffening at Minako's suggestion. "I don't know how I feel about that."

"Rin has to know sooner or later! Would you rather have him jumping from girl to girl at every party we go to?" My heart sunk at the pit of my stomach. I know well that Rin needs to know my feelings. It's either he returns the feelings or I have to move on... The latter is going to be hard to fulfill. "How about this; pretend you're drunk and admit your feelings to him. Rin can't hold that against you."

"Pretend I'm drunk?" I repeated, muddled.

"Yeah. Then, if anything happens, you can say you didn't remember what happened the day before. But you really have to sell it."

"... I'll think about it." I laid down on my bed and let my mind run wild with many possibilities if I followed through with Minako's plan. I don't know. I don't want to ruin my friendship with Rin just because of something stupid I did... I turned to the wall and forced myself to sleep. I'll debate more about it in the morning. It's scary enough that I'm actually considering it.

~*~*~*~*~

The party started around seven at night. Kai managed to rent out a club in downtown and the whole university seemed to have been invited. This was far more advanced than any college party I've went to before. I had arrived along with Jun a little late since Rin was picking up his friend and Minako had come with Kai.

"You look nice, by the way, (F/n)-chan," Jun murmured to me as we both walked farther into the building.

I shot him a smile. "Thanks, Jun-chan." We picked up some beers provided and took cautious sips from it.

The party raged on into the night and the building vibrated with loud music and dancing. I was actually starting to feel tipsy but I didn't take in enough alcohol to be full out drunk. I also managed to lose Jun some time during all that.

In the distance, I spot Rin chatting with some pretty girl. I pursed my lips as I watched them grinning at each other. I took one last sip of the alcoholic drink and made my way over to him. My heart was beating wildly as I approached the two. Rin's eyes averted over to me. "Hey, (F/n)..." I wedged myself between him and the girl, purposefully shoving her out of the picture. He stared at me intensely. I let out a giggle and tugged on the hem of his shirt. "Are you drunk?"

"Maybe I am, maybe I'm not," I mumbled out to him, pulling him closer to me.

"Rin-chan!" The girl behind me whined.

"Oh... I'm sorry." The girl huffed haughtily and stormed off into the sea of people. His fingers ran through my (h/c) locks. "(F/n), you shouldn't have drank too much."

I wrapped my arms around his neck. "Nah, it's ok, Rinny!" I faked a giggle. I gazed into his eyes. I wonder if he could feel my heartbeat right now. "You know Rin, you're actually really cute!" He looked at me in shock. Might as well keep going. "You want to know what else?..." I gulped down and whispered to him, "I really like you." I tightened my hold and hid my beet red face into his chest. "I-I've had a crush on you for a while."

After a minute of agonizing silence, I felt my arms being pried off. I glimpsed up at Rin and he had an unreadable expression on his face. "I-I'm sorry, (F/n). But, I can't..." I stepped away from him. So, this is what heartbreak feels like. "Excuse me..." He rushed past me, leaving me behind. Despite the amount of people in the room, I felt utterly alone.

With tears welling up in my eyes I ran out the club into the cool night. I couldn't seem to stop crying... It hurts so unbelievably bad.

I leaned my back onto the wall of the building and let the silent outside calm me down.

"Now, I don't think a pretty girl should be out here feeling sad." The unfamiliar voice made me jump and I whipped my head over to the new person. The guy was tall and he had short, raven hair. He was actually quite attractive in his own way, but just not like Rin. "Oh, I'm sorry to startle you."

I wiped at my tear stained cheeks. "No, it's ok. I wasn't really expecting anyone..."

"Would you mind if I joined you?" he asked me suddenly.

I bit my lip as I thought about having his company. "I don't mind," I decided.

He laid back on the wall beside me. "So, seems to me that you're not as drunk as you were inside." I froze, appalled. I opened my mouth to say something but he beat me to it, "I was standing nearby."

I covered my face with my hands in embarrassment. "I had a good reason," I muffled out. The guy let out a low chuckle. "It was a stupid plan."

"Just a little bit," he responded. We shared a laugh. "Are you, by any chance, (F/n) (L/n)?"

"How do you know who I am?" I questioned him quickly.

"Because Rin Matsuoka is my best friend." The raven haired boy told me while extending his hand out towards me. "I'm Sousuke."

I reluctantly grabbed his hand into mine and shook it. "Ah, so you're the friend from his hometown that was coming to visit." I bared him a grin. "I don't think this was the way I wanted to portray myself to you."

"I can see why Rin is so taken by you," Sousuke told me. "He never shuts up about you."

"Probably to tell you all the stupid stuff I've done, I bet."

"... Well, partially. But mostly telling me about how fond he is of you."

"Excuse me?" I uttered in surprise.

Sousuke smirked. "If you haven't pulled that trick and told him normally, he probably would've told you what you wanted him to say. He's absolutely insane over you... just like this one kid in high school, but this is an entirely different case." I gazed at him, waiting for him to go on. "I know Rin like nobody else. I would know if he's in love with someone or not."

"In love with me?" I mumbled out, a warm wave filling inside me.

"Yeah, knowing Rin, if he had confessed to you too, he would probably think he was taking advantage of you or something."

I literally facepalmed. "I wish I didn't listen to my friend..." The moments of when Minako and Kai telling about Rin liking me filled my mind. "But, I also should've listened. I can't believe I did all of that."

"Were you trying to seduce him?" Sousuke joked, but the comment still made my cheeks burn.

"Please, don't remind me!"

The two of us conversed casually and I grew to enjoy the aqua-eyed guy's company. Our conversation was interrupted when someone was calling out his name. But this time, I recognized that voice all too well. "Oi, Sousuke, what are you... (F/n)?" His narrowed eyes darted back and forth between the two of us. "What's going on?"

Sousuke got off the wall. "Baka, what are you doing making pretty girls cry?" he asked him. "It was nice talking to you, (F/n)." He patted my head. "Be honest and not act drunk, ok?" He pulled away from me and made his way back to the doors of the club. "I'll meet you two back inside." He disappeared inside.

Rin reached over to me, his stare blazing. "What were you and Sousuke talking about? And... you're not drunk?"

"I guess I wasn't," I muttered nervously. "I meant all the things I said..."

"Did you really?" There was a hint of hope in his voice.

"Yeah, I did."

He broke out into a dazzling grin and embraced me into his arms. I let out a gasp as he held me close. "Thank god. I was so afraid. When you told me you liked me and you acted you were drunk, I was torn. I don't want you to get the wrong idea and then end up hating me if I ever tried anything..." His eyes widened. "I mean, I wouldn't try anything..."

"Ey, shut up, Sharkboy," I quipped with a smile. "I'm just happy you return the feelings."

"I think Jun is going to be kind of disappointed, though," Rin laughed. He rested his head onto mine, his arms still securely around me. "Please be my girlfriend, (F/n)?"

"Of course," I accepted, placing a kiss on his cheek and hugging him.

And stupidly, the dork was in love with me too.
