"I really don't think it's safe for me to be out here. It's definitely not safe for you guys," Tiberius mumbled, jumping when he heard a twig snap. The normally calm hawk was now paranoid and always shaking. Walking beside her best friend, Gidget gently patted him on the shoulder as she quietly reassured him, "I'm not about to let a bunch of criticizing animals force my pal into a constant state of terror."

"But I am in a constant state of terror..."

"That doesn't mean you have to hide in that shed all day and near the ones who currently... uh... hate you. Enjoy yourself, we'll keep an eye out for any trouble."

"I still don't think-"

"It's an order."

"Alright, whatever you say..." Tiberius mumbled, sighing heavily before padding off. Watching her friend, Gidget heard footsteps coming up behind her. A moment later, Max asked, "How is he?" Looking over at her boyfriend, the fluffy white Pomeranian spoke softly, "He's terrified and depressed." The two young lovers glanced over to see the old hawk walking around with Norman and Pops, always looking around. His feathers were bristling with fear. The sight broke Gidget's heart as she turned her head away. A sad look glistening in his eyes, the Jack Russell terrier pulled his girlfreind into a warm and loving hug. The Pomeranian hugged him back, relaxing in his embrace.

Just then, Snowball hopped over with Mel and Buddy on his heels. The white rabbit looked exhausted as he reported straight to Max, "We asked a whole bunch of people. No one wants to help us to find the true culprit." The terrier sighed as he murmured, "Guess we're on our own then..." Shaking his head, Snowball replied, "Tattoo and the rest of the Flushed Pets believe us. He told me he'll give me more clues if he gets any." Overhearing the conversation, Pops joined in, "Myron is the only one out of the hamsters who believes us too." Scratching his ear, Buddy remarked, "Not much but it's something. Some believers are better than none."

"How bout we ask those guys over there?" Mel asked, pointing over at some dogs who were going for a walk in Central Park that beautiful day. Before anyone could say anything, the pug started racing towards them. A split second after he disappeared into the bushes though, there was a loud yelp. Horrified, Buddy howled, "MEL!"
