Marvin POV

I ran away from those who were trying to catch me, I knew I couldn't run from them forever so I turned into my cat form and climbed up a tree sitting on a branch hidden by the leaves, the group of men who were chasing me ran past not noticing the cat in the tree. I climbed back down though before I changed back I looked over seeing a borrower close by peeping out from behind a tree I was fascinated since I hadn't seen a borrower before but I knew they were scared of humans so I remained as a cat and got closer meowing a bit at them. The borrower seemed unsure but came up to me eventually slightly petting my fur, I purred softly watching them as they realised I was safe and moved over using both hands to pet me I purred even more smiling and eventually turned over laying on my back, they came over and started to rub my tummy making me purr more happily playing the part of a cat.

After a while of this they stopped, I turned back over sitting down and they laid against me holy shit they were small even to me in this form, if I was a regular cat then I could eat them they were that small though obviously I'm not going to. I licked their cheek like a cat would meowing softly at them wrapping my tail a bit around them protectively. I saw a smile stretch across their face which made me smile back purring rubbing my head against them slightly my fur clearly tickling them as they giggled a bit, we laid like this for what felt like hours before I heard their tiny stomach grumble, I shuffled wrapping my tail around their waist picking them up putting them on my back walking with them on my back holding handfuls of my white fur in their minuscule fragile hands. I walked for some distance before coming to an apple tree, I picked them off my back with my tail then quickly climbed up the tree grabbing an apple in my mouth coming back down placing it in front of them, they smiled standing up and came over putting their tiny hand on my nose "thank you" they thanked me I meowed back as a response nuzzling them making them laugh and try hugging me back. They walked over to the apple and slowly started to eat it whilst I sat down watching them.

Once they finished it was late at night and I was worried about any predators that could be out looking for an easy meal so I picked them back up putting them on my back before trotting back to my house going in through the cat flap into my home, I hopped up onto the kitchen counter putting them down on the counter smiling at them. They got up walking closer to me hugging my nose, which if I was my regular form I would be blushing, "thank you for bringing me here" they smile I meowed happily "I just hope whoever stays here is nice" they mutter to themselves which I hear knowing I need to make their stay here the best it can be. I gave them a farewell lick on the cheek before hopping off the counter trotting to my bedroom, once inside I turned into my normal form using my magic to spy on them in the kitchen, I saw them walk into the wall through a hole and knew it was safe to come back out without scaring them, this would take a bit of getting used to but I knew it'll be worth it.

For the next few months, I always left some food out for them trying to make it not look suspicious whilst at some points coming to visit them in my cat form, I learnt eventually that their name was Y/N from catching them talking to themselves, I had started to utterly adore them as I learnt more about them from them venting to me about stuff which I listened to intently. But today was the day I'd reveal who I really am to them that the house owner and the cat are one in the same, I came out in my cat form looking for them finding them laying on the couch, I hoped up next to them curling up beside them however when I was about to say something my front door open and Seán stood there and his eyes widen when he saw me I felt Y/N shaking holding onto me more "Marvin, what are you doing cuddling with a borrower?" He asked me, I felt Y/N stiffen now when Seán addressed me by my name, I hissed a bit at Seán and he knew that meant to back off so he quickly left closing the door. I turned to face Y/N who was a mixture of shocked, curious and scared "M-Marvin, but that's the house owners name" they said scared it kinda broke my cat heart hearing that so I jumped off the couch transforming into my human form kneeling down on the ground in front of them sighing looking at them, they pulled their knees to their chest looking at me transfixed "y-you are the same?" She inferred I nodded "yes we are, I saw you out their months ago and after we were done hanging out I didn't want to see you get hurt so I brought you back here to keep you safe and have been trying to look after you subtly ever since" I came clean to them they looked like they were piecing everything together in their wonderful little mind looking down a bit before staring back at me "you left the food out purposely didn't you?" They injured I nodded again "but why? Why help me like this for so long?" I bite my lip when they said this looking down "cause I...I like you" I admitted blushing it was clear they didn't expect that but got up coming to the front of the couch looking up at me then smiled "I think I like you too" they told me smiling blushing faintly, I looked up slowly at them "r-really?" I questioned they smiled more nodding. I carefully and gently picked them up pressing a kiss to their head which made them blush like a cherry I chuckled quietly at this smiling at them "Y/N will you be my s/o?" I asked them they smiled broadly nodding "yes Marvin."
