Firefly sat by the waterfall, tracing delicate patterns in the water with a gentle talon. He sighed contentedly. He loved moments of peace like this, when he could be alone and quiet without Kiwi annoying him to death. But his moments didn't last. Kiwi jumped out from behind a bush. "Ha!" She cried as she pounced on her brother. He sighed, going limp underneath her. Kiwi sat back, frowning. "Hey, it's no fun if you don't fight back." She complained. Firefly sighed. He missed Sunburst. She always played with Kiwi and kept his twin away. But Sunburst wasn't here. And she wouldn't be back for a while, so Firefly was just going to have to live with it. Kiwi prodded his head with her front talons. "Hello? Anybody home?" She said, putting her head upside down in front of Firefly's. Firefly just sat down so Kiwi slid off his back. "Hey!" She complained. Firefly shook himself off and went back inside. Mom was in the hut hanging flower ropes. Firefly took in the sweet scent of the different flowers she had brought. Mom landed on the ground with a flower tucked behind one ear. "Hi, Mom." Firefly says. Mom comes over and licks him on the head, tucking a blue flower beside his ear. Firefly jumped away, pawing at the flower. "Mom, I'm too old for flowers." Firefly whined, and Mom stared. "You are never too old for flowers." She said sternly, placing the flower on his head again. Firefly sighed. There was no arguing. Now he really missed Sunburst. She would've gotten him out of the flower mess. Kiwi runs inside and does a flying leap into the pile of flowers Mom had collected. "Kiwi!" Mom exclaims, shooing her youngest daughter away. Kiwi giggles. "Sorry Mom." When she notices the blue flower on her brother's head, she bursts out laughing, rolling around with tears streaming down her face. Firefly snorted smoke, yanking the flower off his head and stomping on it. Then he raced outside, hoping for more peace.

 Firefly was lonely. He didn't have any friends, his sister was obnoxious, and the sister who wasn't was a million miles away. Firefly came up with an idea that would get him in huge trouble, but if it meant freedom, he would do it. He was going to fly to JMA!
