(Several Days Later: Westview, New Jersey)

The rays of sunlight had touched the cemented ground a hot sunny afternoon on the streets of a peaceful town. It was not too populated like any other towns and cities of New Jersey. The residents seemed to be either busy or somewhat disoriented and fearful of what they had witnessed during the great alien invasion and then HYDRA umbrage against the enhanced beings. Despite of those disturbing events, this town was a reminiscent of the classic and ideal American setting.

Inside the small grocery store, a middle aged balding Caucasian man watched the nineties bulky black television and listened to the news while counting money from his cash register. Then, an African-American customer in his late thirties brought his purchased items and waited. The storekeeper and owner turned his attention to his customer and picked up the things.

" You surely bought a lot of stuff, " he said. " Saving for the rainy and bad days once more? "

" Yeah, " the young man nodded no furiously and shrugged. " You ain't know what will happen next? I mean we saw and heard aliens runnin' around and messin' the whole world. Then, those bad guys just popped around and did the same thing to those heroes. The world's gone crazy, you know what I mean? "

" Right. Those damn events was worse than what I had seen in the Gulf War, " the store owner replied, received the payment from the customer, and gave his changed. " Surely, we were facing extraordinary enemies out there. No one knows why. "

" But what about here in Westview, you have witnessed weird things? "

"  Legends say there are restless souls wandering around anytime of the day or night. They were all dead from long time ago. "

" Man, that's damn creepy, but I ain't see ghosts here. "

" Unless if you have sixth sense, you'll find out, " the old man chuckled and busied himself placing the items into the paperbag.

The African-American man nervously grinned and scoffed when he received his purchases. The storekeeper looked at his customer and thought of something before he would wait for another buyer.

" So, what should I do if I see them? " the customer curiously asked.

" Better find someone who can see and talk to them, " he answered.

" Yeah, sure. "

Upon reaching the storekeeper, a woman with a scarlet pixie hair and her hooded male companion with dark glasses brought their items and approached him. The old man cocked his eyebrows and intently stared at the couple as he was receiving the sold items and punching at his scanner.

" You guys look very familiar, " he said. " Have I seen you in TV or read you in the newspapers before? "

" Oh, no, " Wanda dryly chuckled. " We've just moved here two days ago. "

" So, you're just new to this town, eh? "

" Yeah, " she nodded and turned to Vision. " Is that right, honey? "

" Yes, " the disguised synthezoid smiled and picked up some back issue magazines and newspapers from weeks to a month ago.

" So, you two have a lot of time to fix and settle down into your new house, I take it? "

" Definitely. "

" Yeah. You lovebirds deserve the most time for each other, even the world has gone ridiculous these days, " the storekeeper replied, busily placed the purchases into a box, and placed the reading materials into the brown paperbag. " Well, I hope you're gonna like this place, but something extraordinary happens here. "

Wanda and Vision heard the man and shared glances which they found his sentence odd. The scarlet haired woman turned to him and raised her eyebrows in doubt.

" What are you talking about? " she asked.

" Have you two read, heard, or seen ghost stories?! " the man loudly laughed and pounded at the cashier table. " You guys have no experience of witnessing ghosts. "

" But sir, we are unsure if they are real, " Vision replied and noticed his girlfriend paid the cashier some cash from her wallet.

" Real, eh?! Why don't you even see for yourselves that there are ghosts haunting this town for several centuries?! Perhaps, you have a clue of what I am saying here. "

The male synthezoid had nothing to reply, but he could only laugh in disbelief along with his mutant girlfriend. The storekeeper received the payment and gave the purchases. Vision instantly carried the belongings and looked at the man with concern.

" Look guys, " the owner sadly sighed and calmly spoke. " I'm sorry for saying this, but you have to think twice in living here. It looks peaceful, but you ain't sure if Westview is the right place for you. "

" We're really sure that we will be fine, " Wanda answered.

" I hope so. Goodluck in living here. "

As the two had left the small grocery, Vision carried the belongings and walked along with his partner, going to the town streets. Wanda saw few people coming and going on their way to the car.

" This place is perfect for us, Vis, " she broke her silence and turned to her partner. " I mean there's no harm in remaining here, right? "

" Yes, of course, dear, " Vision nodded in agreement. " I just found the owner's claims very dubious. I mean who could believe in such lifeless beings? "

" Perhaps, it was a joke. "

" I hope so. "

" Honestly, I like this place, " she continued. " Free from those aliens or any mad HYDRA agents who would come to hunt us, we have found a home where we can spend our lives together. "

" So, that suggestion from Ms. Danvers had inspired you to live here. "

" Yeah, I mean it's like living in a town from any classic TV show and making sure we can be normal and peaceful like anyone else. "

" I agree with you, " the male synthezoid sincerely smiled. " I would like to settle and retire here with you for good. "

Wanda smiled back and blushed harder than ever when she heard her boyfriend's words. She was too inspired to be with him several days after the raid in Boston. Vision also fell the same way as her when he regained his memories and personality. He wanted to spend the most moments with her and make up for those lost days with her.

Upon reaching Wanda's car parked on the corner, Vision waited for his girlfriend to open the hood of the car trunk. When it was opened, he carefully placed all their belongings. Suddenly, he heard strange voices ringing into his mechanical head.  Vision remained speechless and widened his eyes in fear, listening to those unknown entities calling at him. Their voices were combined with both male and female tone which they were like distorted audio from a transistor radio.

" HELP....US... HELP US! PLEASE!! HELP!! "

" Wanda? " Vision called his partner and noticed her opening the driver's seat door, becoming uneasy to what he was hearing.

" Vis?! What the heck are you doing? " she said. " I'm waiting for you to close that hood and get into the car. "

" I am sorry. It's just I am hearing something, " he replied and moved his head into his left.

" You heard what? "

" Voices. They're everywhere. "

Wanda frowned and looked around the corner as she heard and saw nothing. Then, she sternly glared at him and  thought of him becoming ridiculous upon his revival days after. Vision wryly grinned and became uncomfortable at his girlfriend's grim stare.

" Wanda? Why are you looking at me like that?! " he raised his voice.

" I don't see or hear any ghosts from here, Vision. They're just figment of your imagination, " she emotionlessly replied. " Now, we have to get into the car and go home. It's been a long day that we have been shopping for supplies. "

" You're right, " he nodded and ignored the voices echoing from his head. " Maybe, we should get home. "

" Good, " she smiled and kissed his red skinned cheeks.

The couple had entered to the maroon sedan when they had speed and headed off onto the streets. Silently sitting at the passenger seat, Vision was feeling unnerved in what he had heard on the streets. He couldn't believe those beings could communicate him.
