The sun's golden rays lit up the land as dew sparkled from its light. "Yamaōkami, can we go and see Joey?" A blue Akita/Kishu said as she bounced around like a deer. "Maybe some other time." A huge German Shepherd said as she gave the puppy a smile. "Aww!" The pup yelped as her tail dropped, her ears twitched. A few moment pass as the two travel in silence, listening to the beautiful surroundings as they strolled through the lush green forest. "Hey, Yamaōkami?" The puppy spoke as Yamaōkami turned her long snout to the pup. "Hm?" She said as she blinked. "Am I really your puppy? I mean, I don't look anything like you." She said as Yamaōkami pricked her ears and stared at her for a moment before letting out a sigh. "I guess I knew this would be coming." She said as she sat down, the pup joining her as they rested on a grassy hilltop. "Yes, I'm not your real mother." Yamaōkami said as the blue pup gazed at her in shock. "You are daughter to the leader of the Ohu soldiers." The German Shepherd said as the puppy's eyes widened as she rose to her paws. "Your mother was named Koyuki. Sadly, she died with your other siblings, Orion, Bellatrix and Sirius when Gajou fell and where one of your father's friends died." Yamaōkami said as she rested her green eyes on the sky which was dotted with small clouds. "Your father is Weed, he's the son of the great dog Gin who slayed the demon bear Akakabuto. Meaning you have a line of heroes. Both Weed and Gin are alive, or as far as I know." Yamaōkami sniffed as the puppy followed her foster mother's gaze up into the sky. "Do you know the reason why they named you what they did?" Yamaōkami asked the Akita/Kishu as she flicked her bushy tail. "Why?" The pup asked as she tilted her head slightly to the right, her earshot pointed straight up in interest. "Weed especially loved that name because he wanted you to be a hero, to become the next leader of Ohu after him. That's why he named your Eiyuu." Yamaōkami told her as Eiyuu's curled tail twitched, her paws shifted as she sat back down. Eiyuu thought for a moment before lifting her head up to Yamaōkami. "Then I'll be the next Ohu leader!" She barked as she pranced around, her blue eyes bright with excitement and happiness. Yamaōkami smiled at her as she watched her prance around. Suddenly, loud pawsteps made Eiyuu whip her head around and Yamaōkami spring in front of her, they faced the forest that lay ahead as a striped dog burst from it. Yamaōkami growled as she tucked Eiyuu behind her, the striped dog only panted but as she noticed them she turned to them and sat down. "Who are you?" Yamaōkami growled as she flattened her ears. The striped dog simply licked her front paw as she opened her light blue eyes, she had a bluish-black striped pelt and a white underside. A deep scar lay across her face as she only stared at them for a moment then spoke. "I'm no threat, my name is Mayonakatora or Maytora for short." She explained as she drew her paw over her face but didn't do anything. Yamaōkami narrowed her eyes at her for a moment before relaxing her muscles. "You're a Kai Ken dog, aren't you?" She asked the newcomer as she simply nodded. "I'm an Ohu soldier." Maytora said as she pricked her ears and bounced away from the forest side and stood beside the two, Yamaōkami flinched back but Eiyuu only stared into the forest as many dark figures came into view. "Who are they?" Yamaōkami asked as she turned to Maytora. "They're the enemies, they've been terrorizing the dogs here in Futago Pass." Maytora snarled as one dog stood out from the rest, his amber eyes falling down upon the dogs below him as he especially glared at Eiyuu. Eiyuu noticed that he was the same type of dog as her, an Akita/Kishu mix but his pelt was a dark black and was scarred all over, his only amber eye was sharp as his left eye was scarred over and missing. "Who are you?" Yamaōkami snarled as she tucked Eiyuu beneath her, she was extremely protective of her as she never had pups of her own and she was taking care of the daughter of the Ohu leader. "You can call me Kurofushichou." He snorted as his ear twitched in irritation. "Black Phoenix?" Maytora tilted her head then snarled. "Whatever you may call yourself, you're not getting to this pup and its foster mother." The Kai Ken dog said as a growl rumbled in her throat, Kurofushichou simply snorted then laughed. "Let's see if you can prove that." He growled as his ear twitched ever so slightly and the dogs behind him all charge down upon them like rain. Maytora stood in front of Yamaōkami and Eiyuu and as the first wave of dogs came, Maytora raced past them and they fell to the ground as she darted back to Yamaōkami's side once more. "Impressive, but let's see if you can hold your ground." Kurofushichou grunted as more dogs rushed down and Maytora did the same except this time, a dog grabbed her hind leg and flung her to the side while the rest cornered Yamaōkami. She gritted her teeth before lunging forward, her teeth bared as she fought them off. But just when it looked like they were gonna win, Kurofushichou jumped in and headbutted Yamaōkami as she lost balance and fell over with dogs grabbing her limbs and her throat, they did the same for Maytora. Eiyuu was cornered as she flattened her ears and crouched low to the ground, fear struck her as Kurofushichou approached and licked his lips before grabbing her head and tossing her up and as she fell back down with a screech of terror, he grabbed her tail and slammed her to the ground where she yelped in agony. "Eiyuu!" Yamaōkami yowled as she was shortly cut off by one of the dogs who held her neck. Eiyuu's breathing grew heavy as she was fazed and couldn't move. Kurofushichou approached her once more as Yamaōkami growled and struggled as she whipped around, trying desperately to get to the pup. The dark black Akita/Kishu grabbed Eiyuu's head once more before throwing her to the side violently, she spun like a shuriken as he watched in delight as she spun towards a boulder and as Yamaōkami yowled once more of her name, blood splattered across the rock as a loud crack made all the dogs stop. It was silent as Eiyuu fell to the ground, her limp body seemed to float as Yamaōkami fought harder, snapping at every dog and showing no mercy as she sank her teeth into one's throat and tossing him to the side and making the dog hit another. Her eyes were bright with fury and worry as she then charged for Eiyuu until Kurofushichou pinned her down with one of his hind paw, his claws sank into her head as Maytora struggled. Tears formed and dropped down Yamaōkami's eyes and face as she whimpered. "Eiyuu..." She said as more tears came down her face, she gritted her teeth to prevent her from yowling in sorrow. But as Kurofushichou was about to end this all, movement out of the corner of his only eye made him snap his head over and all the dogs did the same as Yamaōkami and Maytora watched in surprise. Eiyuu slowly rose to her paws, she trembled for a moment before stopping her trembling and then turned to Kurofushichou and the others as her eyes glowed a bright red. Blood trickled down her head as Maytora's eyes widened in disbelief. The crack from earlier, was not from Eiyuu's skull cracking, but the rock itself! The rock was split in two as Eiyuu stood in front of it. Kurofushichou growled before snarling. "You're a persistent one are you?" He said as he kicked Yamaōkami away. Eiyuu's gritted her teeth even more before charging forward, her eyes still glowed red and her teeth bared. Three shadows overlooked the battle taking place here as more of them came but the first three stood out as their eyes were focused on Kurofushichou and Eiyuu. Kurofushichou burst into laughter as Eiyuu raced at him, her legs moving so fast that they were a blur as she suddenly spun, a high-pitched sound made all the dogs turn even more as it sounded like an avalanche of snow and ice. As Kurofushichou opened his eye, fear struck him as Eiyuu was spinning in midair and was heading straight towards him, he also noticed something else but he didn't have time to react as he was frozen in fear. But he forced himself to move as he jumped into the air but it was already too late, Eiyuu spun faster as she flew beneath Kurofushichou, he yowled in agony as scarlet colored stains spattered across the dirt and grass where they stood. The dark black dog fell to the ground, howling in agony as his dogs came over and helped him get up but while Kurofushichou was thrashing, he hit a few of his dogs, either knocking them out or killing them due to his furious thrashing that was like trees thrashing at birds, trying to get them out of the sky. Eiyuu kept her spinning until she was a few feet away from the flailing Kurofushichou, her eyes were closed as she hit the ground and skidded to a halt on her side. The three shadows watched in astonishment as one in particular watched her. "Ice?" One of them said as they noticed ice had formed along her canine teeth and all around her, she seemed to wear a protective armor of ice as it sizzled away. Yamaōkami had watched in complete astonishment but she sprinted over to the puppy and started licking her head and noticed that there was nothing on her head, just a little of blood but nothing else, not even the smallest of scratches. Maytora joined Yamaōkami and Eiyuu as her eyes widened. "Kurofushichou, his leg was cut off!" She yowled as Yamaōkami whipped around and saw what made the dark black dog howl in such agony, his front left leg was sliced off and blood had covered all around his limp leg and his own body where he still flailing. Eiyuu's breathing was heavy but she soon opened her eyes which had gone back to normal as she stood to her paws. "What happened?" She asked Yamaōkami as she stared around and saw Kurofushichou howling and soon, she realize that his leg was seperated from his body, her blue eyes widened as she glanced at the forest trees and saw the shadows. She flattened her ears but as she was about to call out to them, Kurofushichou rose to his paws with blood dripping down from where his leg would be. "You runt! I'll kill you for this!" He yowled as he charged forwards with his dogs following but before he could get even halfway, the two first shadows pelted forward and spun as Eiyuu had done and they both headed straight towards Kurofushichou, they hit him but only left a scratch as he flinched back in alarm. "What?" He growled as he took a step back. "Stay away from my daughter." The smaller one threatened as the larger one stood beside him. The smaller one rose his head proudly as the light shown who they were. "It's, the Ohu leader!" One of Kurofushichou's dogs said as Eiyuu's eyes widened.
