Nico Pov

It was the weekend. Today is Saturday.

I skipped my way to my lover's house.

Saturday is supposed to be our lover time when we could do whatever we wanted. Make out, go out on a date or just simply lie around for the whole day.

I didn't need to knock or ring the bell, I had the keys so I just let myself in.

"But mom, if that's the case I could just stay here." I heard her voice.

"I'm not sure about how I feel about leaving you alone like this."

"I promise I would call you often to check up on things."

Her mother was silent.

"And it will only be a few more years after which I can move to be with you."

"You say that as if you don't have any other commitments."

"What are you saying?"

"What about your little girlfriend who has been eavesdropping on us for the last couple of minutes."

My face flushed red. I slowly stepped out from behind the wall and made my way to join them in the living room.

"Nico? What are you doing here?" She paused for a mere second "Oh today is Saturday isn't it? I'm so...."

"No it's okay. I wanted to talk about this to." I looked over at her mother "You don't mind right?"

Her mother gestured me to take a seat "I would love to hear what you have to say."

I jumped onto the seat. "Well, don't expect me to be all serious."

They looked at me and shrugged, knowing me.

"Go ahead." Her mother said with a slight smile.

"I think that you should let Maki stay."

"Why is that?"

"You are making Maki give her life her just because you got a better job offer in yhe states."

"Well, isn't it normal for a mother to want to bring her child along?"

"it is but Maki has already said that she doesn't wish to go."

"I can't leave jer here in Japan all alone can I?"

A smirk grew on my face.

"For that, I have a proposal to make."

"This should be interesting. Go on."

"Why don't the Yazawa household move in with her while you are there."

She nodded "That is open for discussion."

"This would benefit all of us. The Yazawas aren't strong financially our hiuse is small but we have a big family. Leaving here would give us a better place to grow and stay in."

"That's the benefit for you. Continue on."

"Maki would be allow to stay with us and complete high school. After which she can decide what she wants to do. Weather she wants to saty or move to you."

"And now what about me?"

"You would be able to go to the states in peace knowing your daughter isn't alone and also knowing that she is happily go through her high school years."

"Well, it seems like you give a lot of thought into this." I nodded "However, I would like to pose this question to you. What would you do with your current house? Sell it away just to stay here for a few years? And what if Maki decides to move to life with me? What would become of you then?"

"I already talked with my mother. She decided that we would put our house out for rent. If Maki really decides to move we can either mive back or use the esavings to get us a new place."

She nodded.

Maki looked at me, obviously shocked beyond believe.

"What do you say, Ms. Nishikino?"

Maki stared her mother, hopeful.

"Well, I can't think of anything else I can say." She smiled "I accept."

"Really?!!?" Maki exclaimed. She nodded.

She jumped to give her mother a hug "Arigato Okasan!"

She then jumped and hugged me "Arigato, Nico!!"

I smiled.
