He sat, eyes wide, mouth slightly open, completely confused, on a small bench in a lonely platform on an unknown train station, alone with a girl who shook her bright blue head violently to the music in her ears.

He looked around. There was absolutely no one in sight except the two of them. He gulped, put forward his hand and tapped her shoulder.

She paused at the touch and turned around. Then resuming moving to the music, she raised her eyebrow.

He gestured towards their bench and said, "Stop shaking the bench. I can't sleep."

Unable to understand his request she raised both of her arms in question. He repeated, "I said stop shaking the bench."

She shook her head and asked this time quite loudly, "What?"

This was when he noticed that her headphones were at a high volume. Feeling mad, he leaned forward and yanked them off her and shouted, "Stop shaking the bench! I can't sleep!"

Surprised at his sudden action, her eyes went wide and a scoff left her lips.

"Fine! Why are you yelling?"

She asked feeling rather annoyed. She watched him relax into his side of the bench. Under her breath she mumbled as she folded her arms and leaned on her side rather stiffly, "Could have simply told me to..."

Together they sat, on the same bench, facing the metro rail track, in a lonely station with their luggage.

Pouting a little she looked around and then turned to him. Feeling rather bored, she observed the sleeping boy.

From the top she started analyzing him. Wearing thick framed glasses that rested on his nose, his hair was trimmed and neatly swept to a side exposing his forehead. He was kind of tall, his thinness covered up using too many layers of clothes. She shook her head in disapproval. But like her, he too carried one trolley bag and one backpack. But his backpack was rather black and dull unlike hers that had patchwork on them.

She wondered what was in his backpack. Leaning forward, she placed a finger on his old, black, lifeless possession when, "-metro-station-"

A sudden announcement caused her to jump back to her side. Her heart pounded crazily, and she felt like a thief who was about to be caught. After stirring for a bit, he returned to his slumber.

Just then, another announcement followed, "-itch was - accident. Sorry."

Looking up at the speaker, eyebrow raised, she wondered,

Did some girl just apologize over the mike? How jobless is she?

She shook her head in disapproval, and then laughed at her own joke.

I'm so bored! She thought, pouting.

Noticing a movement beside her, she suddenly regained composure. He had woken up, she could see that, and yet she behaved as if she didn't.

He, on the other hand yawned as wide as he could. It was the stupid information desk girl's announcement that had woken him up. He could hear her 'gum chewing' even over the mike.

Which also means that she hasn't left till now. He thought feeling disappointed.

He sighed and turned to his left to find that 'blue thing'. She was looking at the floor and sitting idle. He sneaked a peek at her face. She had a small round face with small features. Small eyes, nose, lips. He felt she was rather short. When he noticed her turn her face towards him, as reflex, he turned his head and looked ahead. His expressions were too obvious. Even he knew that. But a guy must hide!

"Were you just staring at me?" she suddenly asked.
