-Minutes Beforehand-

'This place is dark as, oh my Lords.'

'Could be darker. At least we have some light - Thanks for brightening my day.'

'I will chuck you out of the next window we come across, watch you fall, and do nothing but laugh.'

Kenny pulled a face at his two friends' humour, vowing to slap them both once they got back to the Overworld. It had been ten minutes, and he was already planning his funeral.

""Stealth Mission" my butt, they can hardly get any louder!" He groaned silently, running a hand through his hair with annoyance as the trio turned another corner.

"Might as well slap Vik too, he was the one who decided to put those two together - You'd think they'd be more serious in a place like this?!"

'Oi, Preston, how d'you know we're going the right way?' Lachlan asked after a few moments of silence. The supercharged lava mob sighed, poking his head around a corner to make sure there weren't any guards before jogging over the cross-like junction.

'I... Had a weird dream a few nights ago. I started off in a corridor like this, and kept moving through the - It's this way!' Preston suddenly lunged forwards, scrambling towards an iron-barred door and peering through anxiously. 'This is it, this is the room.'

'You think Rob's in there?'

'I know Rob's in there, but how do we get in...?' The Texan whispered, mostly to himself, as he inspected the lock carefully. 'Huh, should be easy enough to get in, this thing's rusted as heck.'

'But how do we actually get through? It still looks way too solid to just break through, and even if it isn't the noise will be - Kenny NO!'

The nectar-eyed teenager spun around, and kicked the door off of it's hinges before jumping forwards to grab the edge incase it made a loud noise. He lowered it down to the ground safely and turned to his teammates, both being slack-jawed and wide-eyed. 'C-Coming, guys?'

'You can talk now?'

'A bit, hurts a ton though... C'mon, there's got to be dozens of these cells to check before we find-'

'Rob?' He heard Preston mutter, and turned to see him standing right at the end of a cell-lined hall. The lava mutant tugged at the charred bars forcefully until they came lose, and turned to glance at his blond friends before ducking into the cell.

"He's right here."

The wolf hybrid looked up as he heard Preston enter, but instead of seeming happy to see his friend he just... Tried to back himself up even further, scrunching into a small ball as the Texan stopped. 'Rob? Dude, c'mon, it's me.'

'You're-You're not r-real.'

He blinked. Then with a nervous laugh he moved forwards again; Same result. It was as if Rob was trying to hide, trying to cower away from-

Did Rob think that Preston was going to hurt him?

'Okay, okay, I won't come any closer, I'll just - I'll just talk.' He spoke quietly, taking two steps back and sitting cross-legged on the filthy ground. 'I'll wait until you're okay with me coming near you, alright?'

'You're afraid of me.'

'What?'

'Y-You're scared. Scared of me.'

'Rob, you're like the least threatening guy I know.'

'That's not what you thought when I attacked you.'

'You've never - Oh. Right, uh, hm... Did Herobrine make you somehow, I dunno, see that again?'

'It's all I've seen for the past three hours.'

"He is one dead mother fudger when I get my hands on him I swear to-" Preston took a deep breath to calm down, forcing himself to keep a level and patient tone with his friend. 'Listen Rob, I- I'll admit, I was a bit scared,' Keep digging that hole. 'But that was ages ago! I'd almost forgotten about it actually.'

The Canadian narrowed his eyes at his friend, but didn't follow the point and just fell limp against the wall. 'What're you doing here, Preston? What was so important that you came all the way to the Nether to get?'

'You! Rob, no matter what torchface has said, we've been planning this since you went missing. We were always going to come and find you, alright?' Rob flinched at the initially harsh tone of Preston's voice, and looked up slowly to see him now standing and glaring at the air around them.

'Is he here?!'

'N-No, not that I - Ack!' He'd tried to get up, but instead fell back onto his alread-wounded arm as the lava mutant cursed quietly. 'I'm sorry, I'm sorry, you're injured and I haven't even checked.'

''Probably better that you, that you don't.'

Preston pursed his lips at this, and began edging his way towards his friend with no sudden movements. The older hybrid seemed to grow agitated as the Texan approached, but didn't protest as he crouched down infront of him.

'Lachlan, Kenny, can you go find the others? Tell them that we have Rob.' He muttered to the other two in the cell. They nodded, albeit reluctantly, and soon it was just him and his friend in the dank room.

'Rob, is it okay if I check your head? Just for any injuries there.' Rob nodded slightly, hissing at the movement, but untucking himself from his little ball of sadness and emotion to reveal lines of lacerations and bruises all along his arms, face and undoubtedly the rest of his body.

"Burn him to the fudgin' ground and dance on his grave." 'Oh geez, I... What's he done to you?'

'You really don't, really d- you don't-' The Canadian took a deep, shuddering breath, and looked around as if seeing this place for the first time before meeting Preston's eyes. 'Is, are you really h-here?'

'I'm right here buddy, right-' Preston was cut off when his brunet friend jumped forwards and barrelled into his arms, shaking violently and gripping onto the fabric of Preston's jacket as tightly as he could as the tears began to flow. 'Hey, it's alright, we're going to get out of here together 'kay?'

Robert just sobbed even harder, pressing himself as close as possible despite his injuries and his younger friend ran a hand through his blood-crusted hair. 'It's okay, we're going to protect you.'

Before they could do anything else, there was a flash of violent white light. Preston felt Rob being ripped away from him, and as the light faded he found himself in the throneroom. The other members of the group were there, and they looked equally as shocked when the two got teleported in, but that's when Kenny sucked in his breath.

'Preston, buddy, don't look behind you.' He warned, and due to the awful cliché, the lava mob did look behind him; To see Herobrine with a knife to Rob's chest.

Any movements, and the dog gets it. The god spat spitefully, tightening his grip as the werewolf whined and attempted to claw his way out of the hold. For a few moments, none of the group dared to breathe, and Herobrine smirked before chucking their Canadian friend 9 feet to the floor. What, do you really think I'll kill him just like that?

'Wouldn't put it past you.'

Ah, the brave little lava mob. What are you going to do, lull me to sleep with some therapy?

Almost all of the boys had noticed the violet haze creeping through a window, and saw Harvey teleport in behind the obnoxiously large throne at this point, but still didn't move - Apart from Preston. Mainly because he was too pissed to care.

'You will burn for what you've done.' He growled lowly, the crimson flashes across his skin becoming more apparent as his anger rose. Herobrine just laughed at the mere child infront of him, trying to seem fierce - what could he do?

Oh look at me, I'm quaking in my boots, I'm so afraid; Just like you were, when you saw how Rob killed that innocent man.

'He deserved it, for what he'd done.' Choco muttered angrily, glancing across the room at Rob's half-conscious frame. The god turned his attention to the chocobo, obviously not thinking that Preston was a threat as the flashes increased at a rapid rate.

"That does not look good."

"Eight out of eight for observation there Lachlan."

"Your powers are back?"

"Yep."

"...D'you know what's happening to Preston?"

The Australian snuck a quick glance at his short friend, who tilted his head towards their lava mob which was glowing at an alarming rate.

"Uh... You know when supercharged creepers explode, the radius of damage is way larger and/or more powerful?"

"But- He's a hybrid! Surely he won't."

What did I say about private chit-chats, you two? The connection was cut off once more, as a powerful wind came out of nowhere and slammed the Brit into a wall.
