What do you think you'll be able to do, brat?

'Incinerate you where you stand.' Preston snapped, an inhuman fire behind his eyes as he stood with a fireball hovering above each palm. The god blinked in surprise at the waves of power flowing from his target, but shook it off as anger and just smirked.

If you do even attempt to fight me, you must realize that I'm in my own domain. I know this place, as I created it, and you will fail.

'I don't care.'

...What?

'None of that means anything. You kidnap my best friend and torture him with Notch knows what, then you throw Vik because he was using his powers - What the f*** is wrong with you?!'

"Woah, did-did Preston just swear? And Herobrine's been torturing Rob, what the..." Lachlan's train of thought ran out as he glared at the god before them, growling lowly as he clenched his fists. "He's going to pay."

'Lachlan? What are you-' The dragon hybrid shot forwards at an impossible speed, practically a blur as his hands turned to claws and slashed the backs of Herobrine's legs. The man hissed, the wounds healing as quickly as they'd been created as he turned to stare at the blond. So now the puppet wants to play?

'I am no one's puppet.'

That's not what I saw a few months ago.

Preston took this chance to make his own attack, lobbing his fireballs as he ran forwards. There was an air of confidence, but there was obvious hostility - He was determined to kill the god for what he'd done, and nobody was going to stop him. The fireballs began to take shape as he created more, one flattening out into a disc-like shape while the other sharpened itself into some kind of spear 'Stay out of this Lachlan, it's not your fight.'

'Are you serious right now!?'

'Yes. Get them out of here.'

Conflict in a team? Tut tut boys, that's not how teamwork's supposed to go. The oak-haired god mocked, crossing his arms with an amused light in his eyes. The lightning around Preston's body was beginning to turn white, but this fact was forgotten when a high-speed arrow embedded itself in his arm.

'Get it together guys, we're here for a reason!' Mitch called, knocking another arrow into his bow as the god growled. Unlike his brothers, he wasn't immortal, so he would have to be careful.

He summoned his pickaxe, surrounded with lightning and gusts of air. Kenny took a step back as he saw the weapon, and glanced across the throneroom to see Rob disappear in a purple flash. "Harvey got to him, thank the Lords..." The blond thought, reaching for his own sword to find that it was nowhere in sight.
"What the heck?" He must've dropped it when he kicked the door down. Cursing quietly, he turned back to the fight.

And saw a smoky dagger mere centimetres away from his face.

'Guys?' He squeaked, not daring to move as Mitch's bow flew out of his hands before bursting into flames. They were far more out of their depth than they though - Their cocky attitudes were about to get them killed.

'I'm on it, I'm on it.' Choco muttered, edging over to his friend and waving the smoke away as Vik also disappeared in a flash. 'What's happening to the guys?' He added quietly, but his taller companion just shook his head and looked at the floating man in disgust.

'I'll tell you later, can't let Herobrine hear.'

Can't let Herobrine hear what? The god questioned, hovering towards the couple as Preston and Lachlan were held up in the air. Kenny's feathered friend jumped away in surprise, and then found himself able to do nothing as Herobrine gripped the blond by the neck.

Is there something you're hiding from me, young Kenneth?

'Not- Not my name.' He choked out, the air already beginning to cut off as Mitch attempted to jump and reach either one of them; Herobrine just flew higher and chuckled, forcing him to look at the left-hand side of the thrones.

There was a cage. In that cage was a woman. That woman slowly stood and made her way to the front of the bars, walking through a whole and staring at the pair blankly. Then, she spoke, while looking directly into Kenny's wide eyes.

'Who is this boy, master?'

Oh, don't you recognize your son, Avery?

'MOM?!' Kenny spluttered, still in Herobrine's grip as the woman faltered. 'I... Have no son.'

She's forgotten all about you. It's taken you so long to find her, to realize where she was, that her mind is that of the Nether. She's mine.

'No! That's not - You can't-' He hit the ground head-first with a piercing "crack", not even able to make a cry of pain before he passed. Avery Pygott just stood for a few more seconds, dull grey orbs locked onto the body of her son, but shook her head once.

'That boy is not my son. My son died years ago.'

Choco blinked. A single tear rolled down his cheek as he stared at his friend, silently wishing him to move. Preston was still screaming at Herobrine to "let them down so that they could fight like men", while Lachlan just glared daggers at the god - He couldn't do anything, what was the point?

How do you feel, little bird? Your father didn't see, you lost your mother, and now I've taken your-

'Stop.'

Oh, what was that? Did you not want your friends to know?

He'd let go of his other two prisoners. The Australian stumbled as he hit the ground, before disappearing in a violet flash, but apparently Harvey didn't think it would be safe to teleport Preston out of there - A wise decision, because as soon as he saw Kenny's body, the Texan lost it.

A dangerous flame erupted from his eyes, and the white flashes quickened even more. It had almost taken over by the time he reached the god, and all Herobrine saw when he turned to see his opponent was a violent flash.

...

...

...

The god disappeared, just before Preston exploded.
