Cassie stood in the kitchen, her head resting against the wall, her eyebrows were furrowed as the voices continued to whisper through her mind. Each stated something different but they all followed the same pattern 'Todays the big day.' but what big day? Sure it was her and Clare's eighteenth birthday but that's it right?

"Mom! Cas!" Clary entering the room and calling for them didn't break Cassie from her mind, instead the voices got louder; She missed the look on her mothers face.

Jocelyn knew why her daughter was hearing the voices, but today was the day Cassie herself would find out. Cassie had always seemed more in touch with her shadowhunter side; Seeing visions of demon like creatures, hearing voices of what claimed to be angels. It was hard for Jocelyn to keep this from her girls, especially since it has been taking a toll on Cassie since she was a child.

"You did it! Yay!" Jocelyn was very happy for her youngest daughter, making her way over to the couch with a tray that was littered with drinks.

"You also follow Simon?" Clary asked, her conversation with Dot from downstairs still fresh seeing as it was only moments ago.

"He only has ninety-two followers. He needs the retweets. Congratulations." Jocelyn pulled Clary into a warm hug with a chuckle being pulled from the red haired teenager.

"Thank you. Hashtag, Stalker mom." Clary pulled her bag off of her shoulder, letting it fall onto the floor before her eyes trailed over to Cassie, she had been worried over her sister's mental state ever since they were young but as they got older the voices and visions seemed to get worse for her.

"Voices again?" Clary asked, to which their mother nodded, before pulling a gift from behind her back.

"Happy Birthday, I've already given Cassie hers." Smiles were on both their faces as Clary took the gift. Both sitting down on the horrendous orange couch, or so Cassie says.

Cassie turned, lending her ear into the conversation; she was given her stele this morning, but Jocelyn didn't want to tell them about it until they were together.

Cassie sighed as Clary blew off their mom, The blonde finally pushed herself off the wall, walking over to her sister and giving her a hug before she leaves "Have fun, and be safe okay?" Cassie said; she was always a little overprotective of her sister.

"I'll be fine, Happy Birthday Cas." Clary said before getting a kiss on her forehead from Cassie.

"Happy Birthday, Clare."
