"Mothra's dead..." I said sadly, watching as the ashes of the divine moth drifted onto Godzilla, who was moaning woefully.

Ghidorah then began to close in on his opponent, reaching out all three of his necks to bite Godzilla, after which it would all be over.

"He's going to kill Godzilla..." Kaito said, standing next to me. "And there's nothing we can do about it."

But there is... I thought.

I looked down at the device I was still carrying in my arms.

The ORCA! I thought. I can draw Ghidorah away from Godzilla...but I would die in the process...

It didn't matter.

Without Kaito noticing, I opened the device and hit the button to resume transmitting the signal.

the ORCA released the signal sound, and almost instantly, Ghidorah whipped all three heads towards me.

"Shit." I muttered. "I'm sorry, Kaito..." I said, as he turned to me, confused.

"About wha-"

before he could finish, I pushed him to the ground, and ran like hell away from Ghidorah.

realizing his prey was running, Ghidorah began to traverse the city, heading towards me.

"MADDIE!" I yelled, and got up to begin following her, only to be knocked back to the ground by Ghidorah as he passed by.

"NOO!"

Ghidorah began firing his gravity beams randomly at the area around him, trying to kill Maddie.

"No!! NO!!"

Then, Ghidorah stopped firing, and leaned down in front of him.

"N-"

Then, something caught both Ghidorah's attention and mine.

We both turned to see an orange light, and suddenly, everything felt a little hotter. The rain began to turn to steam, and I could see buildings in the distance melting as a familiar shape rose up from the ground...

...a familiar shape with dorsal plates.

"What the-"

SKREEEEONGK!!!

It was Godzilla, only...he was on fire.

Ghidorah whipped around, screaming madly at Godzilla, who stared angrily, and the telltale humming sound began to fill the air, and then-

Godzilla exploded.

or at least, that's what it looked like.

all the sound cut out, and my ears rang as a massive, spherical shockwave made of fiery orange energy burst from Godzilla's body, enveloping the entire area around him and Ghidorah, before dissipating.

I could see holes burning through Ghidorah's wings, and he looked wounded, surprised, scared, and enraged all at the same time.

I rushed over to the area where Ghidorah attacked Maddie, and began searching for her, the hearing in my ears slowly coming back.

Then, I saw her limp body lying on the ground, the broken remains of the ORCA sitting next to her.

"MADDI-"

my yell was cut off by another massive pulse from Godzilla, and the ringing in my ears came back as my hearing left again.

Regardless, I ran over to where Maddie was lying on the ground, and kneeled down next to her, shaking her body.

I tried to speak, but couldn't tell what I was saying. Come on, Maddie, please come back to me... I thought.

Suddenly, he eyes fluttered open, and she looked me in the eyes, a sleepy look on her face.

Her mouth moved and I think she said something, but I couldn't hear her. My hearing slowly came back, and I yelled "What!?"

She repeated it;

"I love you."

Then, without warning, she kissed me, and a white light enveloped us both.

Are they dead? This is an alternate ending, right? So do they die in this timeline? YOU'LL NEVER KNOW!!!!!!!
