EP.1|Goody-Two-Shoes School?! (Edited Version)

Edit by mya_colondres she's an amazing writer! Please go check out her work when u get the chance!

My name is Xiao Melee. You will know who I am sooner or later. Please think of me as the narrator of this story.

For as long as I can remember the heroes are the good guys and the villains are the bad guys In other words, the heroes win and the villains lose no matter the story. Well... that doesn't really mean much. Because in this story the words "hero" and "villains" hold little to no meaning.

From the mysterious life-formers bigger than any star and galaxy to the dragons soaring across the grand blue sky... the island of Arcana and the Villains Isles are just the beginning of our great adventure in this book that we call: “Good At Being Bad”.

In the words of Megamind himself; ❝All men must choose between two paths. Good is the path of honor, heroism, and nobility. Evil... well, it's just cooler.❞

Now that I have briefly introduced the concept of the story ahead, lets jump right in!

“Goody-two-shoes school! Goody-two-shoes school?!” A redheaded girl growled as she angrily slammed her clothes into her suitcase. “Can you believe her, Perdita?!” The redhead’s eyes softened as she looked at her cocker spaniel. She then sighed as she stopped putting clothes into her suitcase and brought out a beautiful wand. The wand’s color is reminiscent of a peacock, with varying hues of blue, green, turquoise, and bronze.

The wand’s dragon eye is glittering green, with a bluish and black pupil. With a swish and flick the clothes in her dresser levitated and floated to her suitcase. “I swear, once I get out of that stupid school I’m gonna to slay that stupid shop owner! Him and his stupid guard dog!” Now, you’re probably wondering who this girl is. This is Operetta. Daughter of Willow Styles, well step-daughter of Willow Styles.

Ever since her mother “died”, her father, who is the Phantom of The Opera, has been with Willow Styles. However, Operetta likes to call her “The Stupid Spider Woman That Replaced Her Mom”. Operetta absolutely hated her since the day she first saw her.

She never knew her real mom, but her father says she was the most amazing woman he’s ever witnessed. If that’s true, then why is he with the stupid spider chick? The reason she’s so mad at the moment is because she has to, unfortunately,  go to Arcana Prep For Young Witches and Wizards. And it all started because of a precious music box.

Operetta wouldn't call herself wicked, exactly...but when you have five little brothers and sisters and live in a run-down house, you have to get creative to make ends meet. Operetta's a pretty good thief (if she does say so herself). Until she gets caught.

Operetta is now sentenced to 4 years in Arcana Prep. For those who don’t know, Arcana Prep is a school filled with the heros’ kids. The only reason she stole the music box was because it used to be her mother. It was the only thing she has left to remember her by, but apparently, her step-mother didn’t understand that. Now, she has to go to Arcana Prep as punishment. Operetta doesn't seem too happy about it.

“Stupid goody-two-shoes school! I swear Willow can be so uptight at times!” Operetta yelled and with a swish and flick, Operetta’s sunday “church” clothes changed into a different outfit.

Operetta now wears a purple and black houndstooth sleeveless blouse with white buttons down the front. Over the blouse she wears a short white jacket with black spiderweb patterns around the arms and on the back, and short, puffy sleeves ending in keyboard print. The blouse also features a skullette button. She sports jeans that are rolled up to below her knees and feature red lining. Her belt is white with black musical, a spiderweb-style buckle, and three black chains with musical note-shaped charms hanging from it. Operetta's shoes are black and white with white shoelaces, a spider web pattern, and treble clef shaped black heels. She wears a white bracelet with a keyboard print on her right arm and a black dice ring on her right hand.
Her earrings are different from each other; her left earring is the six-dotted side of a black die and her right earring is the five-dotted side of a white die on a string. Around her left eye she sports a black, translucent mask in the shape of a heart-themed musical note.

“Operetta!” Her step-mother’s voice could be heard yelling from the main room of the house. “I’m coming!” Operetta yelled back. “Come on, Perdita.” Perdita barked and ran to Operetta’s side as they slid down the staircase. Once they got to the end it eventually broke.

“Operetta, I think this is a good opportunity to reflect on your actions.” Her father smiled as he patted her shoulder. Operetta looked at Willow with clear dislike in her eyes.

“Ugly spider bitch.” Operetta growled. “Operetta.” Her father started. “I’m sorry Hello, Miss Willow. Pleasure to make your acquaintance. Do you want some tea? Or maybe a giant chair to sit your giant ego on?” Operetta asked sarcastically.

“Very funny, Operetta. I hope they make you stay at the school forever.” Willow smirked. “Hey, you’re the one who got me into this shit of a mess. I hope your happy with yourself.” Operetta growled again.

“Yeah whatever, just wait outside at the train stop and take that stupid mutt with you.” Willow shot back. Operetta glared at Willow before she gladly grabbed her suitcase and Perdita and walked out the door to see a long, black, sleek train that said Arcana Prep in gold letters.

Operetta boarded the train to see that all the cars were full except one that was all the way in the back. Luckily, it was empty. She put her suitcase on the upper level and sat down in the train car.

“Four years in a stupid goody two shoes school. I hate my life right now.” Operetta sighed while rubbing her temples. Perdita then licked her face causing Operetta to smile. “Thanks, Perdita.” Operetta laughed.

Suddenly an owl with gold, purple, and blue feathers flew in and circled around the train compartment. “What the hell?” Operetta tried to shoo the owl away as Perdita started barking at the owl.
“Voodoo?” A girl’s voice coming from down the train asked. The owl chirped and flew out of the train compartment and onto the girl’s shoulder. “Sorry about Voodoo. I told him to find a train compartment that was empty. I’m guessing he did just that.” The girl giggled.

The girl is a slender dark-skinned girl with greeny-yellow eyes, amaranth pink lips, and long black hair with light gray highlights tied in pigtails. She has four dot markings on each cheek and has two violet streaks across her right eyebrow. The girl dressed in a similar style of the colors of New Orleans.

She wears on the left side of her head a small amaranth purple top hat with blue feathers, a scarlet dress with puffy short sleeves, and a amaranth purple waistcoat with gold lining and buttons with red and green feathers on the left side of the collar. She also wears fading purple tights with face patterns that resemble Shadow Demons and wears black and white wedge heel shoes. For jewelry, she wears two golden vine bracelets around her wrists and a flower like medallion around her neck.

“I’m Freddie Facilier. Daughter of Dr. Facilier.” Freddie introduced. “I’m Operetta.” Operetta shook Freddie’s hand as the owl hooted.

“What type of owl is that? It’s unlike anything I’ve seen before.” Operetta asked while staring towards Voodoo, Freddie’s owl. “Nobody knows. My dad says I got it from the shadow monsters as a gift for my 2 birthday.” Freddie answered.

“Wow, that's really cool,” said Operetta. “Well, I see Predita likes Voodoo.” Operetta giggled as Perdita sniffed Voodoo’s feathers, causing Perdita to sneeze.

Suddenly, another girl ran in and quickly closed the compartment doors behind her. She was breathing heavily. “Thank God this compartment is empty. Right, Crackers?” The girl said while talking to the parrot on her shoulder.

“Um…” Operetta started while looking at the newcomer with curiosity. “The names CJ Hook, daughter of Captain Hook.” CJ introduced herself with a smile.

CJ is a slender tanned girl with golden brown eyes, pale ruby lips and dirty blonde hair with golden highlights tied into a heavy ponytail. She has small red, green and blue beads braided into her hair. CJ wears a scarlet red coat with three black straps and golden buttons on the sleeves. Underneath the coat she wears a white blouse tucked into a pair of grey short-shorts. Her belt had a hook fasten to it that resembled her father's hook. She also wears leggings with a pattern of a map sewn into the fabric. Finally, CJ has knee-high high-heeled crocodile-skin boots with golden flourishes on the top fold and a silver buckle.

“And that's Crackers.” CJ smiled while pointing to the bright green parrot on her shoulder. “I’m Freddie, and that’s Operetta.” Freddie responded. “Oh, and why were you running?”

“Well, you see, I just came from Neverland and I didn't know that I was in the Lost Boys territory. When I was looking for the Hook-Hook fruit the Lost Boys started attacking me like wild animals! So, I fought back and I might have almost killed 4 of the Lost Boys. Now, the stupid skeletons Peter Pan made were chasing me.” CJ answered while twiddling her fingers, an innocent expression on her face.

“Yikes. How about you, Freddie?” Operetta asked. “I shrunk 400 guys heads.” Freddie answered bluntly. “Okay… Why exactly?” CJ asked curiously. It wasn’t every day when you meet someone who has shrunk that many heads!

“Because, they owed me money.” Freddie answered with a shrug while smirking. “Apparently, shrinking people's heads is a crime. So I was sent here as punishment.” Freddie pouted. “Why are you here, Operetta? We already stated why we’re here. It’s your turn now.” CJ said. After hearing this, Operetta brought the gold plated valuable crystals butterfly music box.

“I stole it from a thrift store in my town since I didn’t have enough money to buy it. They were just gonna throw it away like some piece of garbage! It’s the only thing I have left that’s my mothers. But apparently, my step-mother doesn't have the heart or brains to understand that.” Operetta answered looking about the window longingly.

“I’m so sorry. Your step-mother must be a massive jerk.” CJ said. “Trust me, she is.” Operetta agreed with a sour look on her face. “Hey, at least you don’t have to see her for 4 years.” Freddie smiled, trying to brighten up the room. “True.” Operetta laughed alongside Freddie and CJ.

Operetta then noticed the wand in Freddie's hair. It was a black wand base with metallic purple, blue, and green paint to emulate a festive color. Green, purple, blue, and pink feathers sprout from the handle with a tiki tasliman at the end of the wand. “Is that your wand? It’s beautiful.” Operetta said, changing the topic of the conversation.

“Yeah, like Voodoo, it’s another gift from the shadow monsters.” Freddie answered. “I like your wand CJ.” Freddie complimented as Operetta looked at CJ’s wand. Her wand was a red, orange, and yellow ombre wand with a brush over of gold metallic paint. The end of the wand has a semi precious stone of Jasper. “I found it on some island when me and my father first went sailing.” CJ reminisced with a dreamy smile.

As they continued talking about their strange encounters and adventures, there was a sudden knock at the door. “Come in.” CJ called as the door opened revealing two girls.

The first girl has dark blue hair, dark brown eyes and rosy lips. She wears her blue hair out.
Just like the color of her hair, she wears mostly blue and black clothing. Her usual outfit is a heart-shaped ruby necklace, a dark blue cape paired with a printed leather skirt with spiderweb leggings and black combat boots, and of course, her crown. She wears blue shades of clothing with a hint of leather and a little princess touch. She also has a red necklace.

“I'm so sorry to intrude on your conversation. My friend and I were wondering if we could sit with you guys? Every other compartment is full.” The blue haired girl asked.

“Yeah, the more the merrier.” CJ smiled as the blue haired girl sat next to CJ and the other girl sat next to Operetta and Freddie. “I'm Evieanna Queen, Evie for short. I’m the daughter of the evil queen. That's Malena, Mal for short. She's the daughter of Maleficent.” Evie introduced herself and Mal.
Mal is a girl with dark purple hair with highlights of lighter shades of purple that is straight and reaches a little bit past her shoulders. She has green eyes with flecks of gold and is of medium height. She wore purple and shades of green and pink leather.

“So, how did two of the top villains’ kids end up here?” Freddie asked. “Well, Let's just say breaking into Snow White’s palace and having an apple, which was poisonous, around Little Miss Snow White's daughter and kind of forcing her to eat it is against the law nowadays.” Evie sighed sadly while staring at the emptiness.

“I told you not to force feed it to her but no! You didn't want to listen to me.” Mal scoffed. “Well, its revenge for what she did last fall. And you shouldn't be talking. At least I didn't try to push Sleeping Beauty’s daughter off a bridge! And almost drown her, for Pette’s sake!” Evie shot back.

“She was overreacting. It's not like she drowned when I pushed her in!” Mal shortly explained. “Hey Mal.” Evie started, clearly noticing something missing. “Where is Poison Apple and Nevermore?” Evie asked. “Oh no!” Mal opened the compartment doors and a purple flash flew in.

Once the flash settled it revealed to be animals. The first was a black cat with golden eyes. “There you are my beloved Poison Apple.” Evie gushed as she nuzzled Poison Apple’s nose. Perdita started barking at Poison Apple and Poison Apple hissed at it.

“Sorry about Perdita.” Operetta apologize. “It's okay.” Evie smiled. “Nevermore. I thought you were right behind me.” Mal laughed as she petted Nevermore.

Nevermore has bright purple scales, the front side being violet with a streak of almost-black deep purple on her head in the middle, and the back sides of her body and some of the fronts are almost-black deep purple, with medium-sized purple wings that have a black-cherry-black or deep purple pattern to them, and she has purple-white markings on one of her front legs and one of her back legs, somewhat long talons. Her talons are pale-purplish pinkish, and she has a feathery-looking small tail in purple and magenta purple. She also has light crystal blue eyes.

“You have a dragon!” Freddie exclaimed as her eyes light up. “Yeah, she's basically my baby. I raised her all on my own.” Mal proudly stated with a smile.

“She's so beautiful!” Freddie gushed as she petted Nevermore, causing Nevermore to chirp in happiness. Mal then brought out a silver and black faux crystal with silver vine detail. Everyone except for Evie backed up in fear.

“What in the world are you doing with the Dark Wand?!” CJ asked worriedly.

“Oh, this is my mom's. She wanted me to use it.” Mal answered with a chuckle. “And you can control it?” Operetta asked and Mal nodded. “Does that mean you use dark magic?” Freddie asked. “Yep.” Mal answered smiling.

“You guys are the nicest people we've met on this train. And believe me, we met a lot of people.” Evie chuckled as the girls continued talking.
They talked all day and all night. “So then my sister thought it he a great idea to put an exploding pudding pack in Willow’s pie and it exploded all over her face. But who got blamed? Me!” Operetta said while she took a sip from her water bottle.

Suddenly, Mal’s eyes flashed green. She grunted a bit, holding her forehead. “It's acting up again isn't it?” Evie asked. Mal nodded and got up. “I'm gonna get some air.” Mal groaned as she walked out of the compartment and went to the outside of the caboose.

Mal slammed her hands against the railing, clenching it tightly. “Breathe… breathe…” Mal told herself, trying to calm down.

“These stupid breathing exercises Evie taught me aren't working.” Mal growled as she sat down. She brought out her wand and pointed it to her forehead. “Locoactus” Mal chanted and with and swish and flick, the environment around her changed.

She was now in what seemed to be a calm pond with beautiful blooming lotus surrounding  it. Mal sat in the middle of the pond levitating over it. “Calm down… breathe…” Mal told herself. After a couple of deep breaths she was back to normal and back on the train caboose. She saw Evie sitting across from her.

“You know, you're lucky that I made up that story for why your here.” Evie smirked. “I know, I know. I just had to get away from my mom.” Mal sighed sadly.

“My mom says you can stay with us whenever you like. Plus, if things get out of hand like they did in June 11th, we have my mirror.” Evie assured her. “I-I know.” Mal smiled slightly, feeling safer now that her friend had comforted her. “Come inside in a few. I don't want you catching a cold.” Evie chuckled as she went back inside.

Mal climbed up to the roof of the caboose and let the cool wind kiss her face. She then heard a camera click and looked behind her, but there was nothing there. Mal shrugged it off and went back inside and back to her train compartment where the other girls were waiting for her arrival.
