EP.2|What I’m Afraid Of

Welcome back, I'm glad you are joining us for another episode of Good At Being Bad. Last time our group VK's (villain kids) just arrived on the train, let's see what happens next.

As soon as Mal went inside of the train compartment she noticed CJ was gone. “Where's CJ?” Mal asked. “Went to go get us some more snacks.” Freddie answered. CJ walked the halls of the trains talking to Crackers until she heard barking. “Perdita?” CJ asked but it wasn't Perdita it was a border terrier dog.

The dog then tackled CJ and started licking her face. “Stop… haha… that tickles… hahaha…! Hahahah!!!” CJ laughed. “Where's your owner buddy?” CJ asked as she looked at the dogs collar. “Dude.” She read. “Come on let's go find your owner. They must be worried sick.” CJ ruffled Dude’s fur.

She asked around the entire last car and decide to go to the next car over. She saw the number 279 on the door and was, for some reason drawn to it. As though she was destined to go there. She knocked on the door and seconds later the doors slide opened, revealing a male teen of a pale complexion with freckles all over his skin. He has white hair with black roots. His style mainly consists of colors black, white and red. He has a black shirt with streaks of white.

He wore jacket of long red sleeves, the right side is white while the left side is black, the collar is made of fake fur and on the back it has his own crest of crossed bones.

His shorts repeat the same black and white pattern as his jacket. For accessories, He had on his right hip a fake fur that resembles a black tail with white tip. He also wore a pair of red fingerless gloves.

“Dude!” The boy smiled as the dog ran into his arms. “Thanks so much, I've been looking for him all night. Where was he?” He asked. “He was on the last car. He kinda ran into me. Well I think I kinda ran into him. But he is very friendly.” CJ chuckled as she ruffled Dude’s fur making him her CJ’s face again.

“Haha! I told you Dude that tickles!” CJ laughed. The boy smiled. “I’m Carlos, son of Cruella DeVille.” Carlos introduced. CJ chuckled. “Don’t you think it’s a bit ironic that the son of Cruella has a dog?” CJ asked giggling. So...cute…

“I-I gu-guessed.” Carlos stuttered a bit. “She said if I don’t take care of Dude that she would turn Dude into a pair of earmuffs.” Carlos chuckled. “Hey, can I buy you a soda? As a thanks for bringing back Dude.” Carlos asked as CJ nodded as they walked towards the dining car.

Carlos ordered two Coca-Cola’s and sat down at a booth with CJ. CJ then saw a baby crocodile walked past being held in a girl with pink hair arms. CJ quickly hid under the table.

“Um? Are you okay?” Carlos asked laughing. “Yeah...just have a tiny phobia of crocodiles.” CJ answered as she got out from under the table. “Oh, right the whole Captain Hook thing.” Carlos chuckled. “Yeah, it kinda all happened because of the stupid crock.” CJ grumbled.

“Well, phobias are easy to get over. I mean my mom basically raised me to have cynophobia. Now look at me. Raising a dog.” Carlos smiled. “You don’t truly fear anything. It’s the concept of a fear that your scared of. Now, I know that this Crocodylusphobia isn't what you're afraid of. Now is it?” Carlos asked.

CJ looked out the window, ignoring his question. Carlos turned CJ’s face towards him. “Fine. I am scared of crocodiles. I’m scared of something else.” CJ sighed. “And that is?” Carlos asked.

“I’m scared of my history. I’m scared that all the grudges my father has against people, which is basically everyone, I won’t be able to find love. My father was the same way with his Grandfather. He had to runaway and start a life by himself just to be with my mom. But even them, once I was born, she left. And it was just my dad and the crew.” CJ looked down at the hook pin on her coat and sighed.

“I’m sorry, I just told a person, who I met 20 minutes ago because of a dog, more than I’ve told anyone.” CJ said as Carlos smiled. “I get it. But if it helps. I’ll tell you what I’m afraid of.” Carlos suggested as CJ nodded.

“I’m not scared of dogs. Well not anymore. I love them more than anything. But it’s not what I’m afraid of. I’m afraid of being alone my entire life. It happened to my mother, my grandmother, and my great-grandmother, all because of the stupid dog issue. That’s why I wanna make sure I save Dude. Without Dude, I’m just like my ancestor. But, lately, Dude hasn’t been cutting it. Don’t get me wrong. I love Dude, he’s my best friend, but sometimes, I get these urges to put him through a shredder and make him into a pair of boots. And it’s not just dogs, times I’ll just get so mad at times that I just wanna put someone thru a shredder and make them into a coat or something.” Carlos sighed.

“And now you think I’m a creep.” CJ chuckled as shook her head. “Anything but that. Heck sometimes I get those urges too. Like you just wanna feed some people to a pool filled with crocodiles.” CJ laughed.

“You know CJ, I glad I finally told someone this. I don’t think I wouldn’t keep it in any longer. I mean I even yelled at Dude, and I never do that.” Carlos smiled as he petted Dude.

“Is that what made him run off?” CJ asked. “Must have.” Carlos answered. “It’s okay, I get everything off my chest when I’m talking to Crackers. But, talking to a bird eventually makes you go crazy at times. Talking to a human, however, makes it a lot better. You know?” CJ asked. Carlos nodded.

CJ and Carlos talked for hours until CJ feel asleep. Carlos was looking at her sleep so soundly. Like there wasn’t a care in the world. Dude nudged Carlos’s arm closer to CJ’s skin without him noticing.

Once they touched Carlos felt a spark flow thru him making his eyes flash white. Carlos jerked his hand away from her arms. “Wh-what was that?” Carlos asked looking at Dude, who had a puzzled look on his face.

He picked up CJ and saw the flash again, but this time. He could hear something. “Carlos…?” The voice asked, it sounded so sweet, so innocent, so beautiful. Where was it coming from though? “Did you hear that Dude?” Carlos asked. Dude shook his head.

“The hell…” Carlos whispered. Now, since Carlos being with a dog for so many years, has adapted to having super smell and super hearing. The air, it was different. It smelled like cherries and vanilla.

He looked down to find that the smell was coming from CJ. He smiled as he carried her back to her train car, which took him about 30 minutes because of the Crackers giving them wrong directions. Once they got to CJ’s train compartment Evie opened the door. Tiredly. “Who are you?” Evie asked.

“I-I’m Car-Carlos...U-Um He-here’s C-CJ...We-we kin-kinda ta-talked for awhile.” Carlos stuttered holding CJ in his arms. “You okay?” Evie asked. “F-Fine.” Carlos answered. “Do you know CJ? Were you guys friends?” Evie asked examining him. “U-Uh…” Carlos struggled to say. Why am I stuttering so much?! CJ is just a girl. Just a girl.

“Oh, I see...well...I think you understand doggie. Don’t you?” Evie asked as Dude nodded. “Who wants a treat. You want a treat?” Evie asked Dude as though she was talking to a baby.

Dude barked happily as Evie gave him a dog treat. Dude the looked over Evie to see Perdita. Dude’s tails wagged even faster. “Dude, come on. We have to get going.” But Dude did listen he ran over to Perdita and sniffed her causing Perdita to wake up.

The heck?! Perdita thought. She ran towards Evie and jumped into her arms. Evie! Get the creepy dog out of here! I already have to deal with 2 birds, a cat, and a dragon! Perdita thought whimpering at Evie. “I think Perdita a little scared of your dog.” Evie guessed.

“I guess so.” Carlos agreed. “I’ll take CJ off your hands.” Evie smiled as she took CJ away from him and sit her next to a sleeping Freddie. “T-thanks...u-um...I-I’ll se-see you later…” Carlos waved goodbye as he walked back to his train compartment.

“Dude, what’s going on?” Carlos asked. Dude looked at him puzzlingly. “You don’t know huh?” Carlos sighed as they walked back to their train compartment. Once they arrived Carlos knocked on the door, it soon flung open.

“You do know it’s 1:00 in the morning, right?” A boy answering the door yawned. Jasper was as a boy with long hair who's muscular. He has dark chocolate eyes. He wears a jacket, blue jeans and a red beanie.

“I know Jasper, I was just out late. Dude ran away again.” Carlos answered. “How’d you find him?” Jasper, the son of Jafar, asked letting both Dude and Carlos in. “U-um…” Carlos started.

Damnit! If I mention CJ I know there never gonna let it go! Maybe Jasper won’t tell the rest of the group. Yeah! “Dude ran into this girl name CJ and she brought him back to me.” Carlos answered, hoping that Jasper wouldn’t make anything of it. Jasper blinked at him twice and smirked.

“So, our little dog boy met a girl huh?” Jasper chuckled. “I-it’s not like that I swear!” Carlos denied. “It seems to me it’s exactly like that.” Hunter, the son of Gaston smirked. He is a handsome, tan-skinned muscular young man with blonde hair tied in a ponytail and brown eyes.

He wore a torn burnt orange tank top, an orange sleeveless leather jacket, ripped blue jeans with brown details, and brown boots.

His accessories consists of a yellow bandana, brown and black bands, a bronze bull necklace, a brown bull belt, yellow fingerless gloves, golden skull rings, bronze, black and gold bracelets, and a sheath for his sword. “Shut up Hunter.” Carlos rolled his eyes.

“Well, maybe our little Carlos is finally growing up. I’m so proud.” Zeref, the son of Hades laughed, pinching Carlos’s cheeks. “I’m a year younger than all of you. Why can’t you people be mature like Ben, huh?” Carlos asked smugly.

Ben has light brown side-swept hair, fair skin, and almond-shaped brown eyes. He dresses casually, in shades of blue and yellow. “Cause Ben’s stupid.” Zeref answered. “Hey!” Ben, the son of beauty and the beast exclaimed.

“No offense, you’re looking at a picture all night, it’s pretty stupid.” Hunter said. “It’s not stupid! It’s a good picture. One of the best I took, if I do say so myself.” Ben said profoundly. “It’s just a picture of a girl.” Jasper stated.

“Yeah, I know. This girl looks so pretty.” Ben smiled. “Okay…? Anyways looks like Carlos is finally asleep.” Hunter observed. “He looks so peaceful...I don’t like it.” Zeref laughed. “Let’s leave he be. He was up all night talking to that CJ girl.” Ben smiled. “I guess.” Jasper then turned off the lights as they all went to sleep.

“Carlos…?” He heard it again. That sweet, innocent, beautiful voice he heard earlier that night. But where? All Carlos could see was a large flower field filled with sunflowers. He heard a dog barking. “Dude.” Carlos smiled as Dude laid down next to Carlos. “Carlos…” The voice was heard again. But it sounded louder. More beautiful. “Ugh…” Carlos groaned. “Carlos…!”

“Why the hell am I hearing this!?” Carlos asked looking at Dude. Dude put his paw on Carlos’s arm and whimpered. “I don’t even know who it’s coming from.” Carlos sighed.

“Carlos! C-Carlos!” The voice was yelling, but for some reason Carlos couldn’t explain why he wanted to know where the beautiful voice was coming from. It sounded so new to him. So rare. “C-Car-Carlos! Please!” The voice begged.

“Carlos!! WAKE UP!!” Ben yelled. “Carlos! Wake up! You’re crushing Dude!” Ben warned as Carlos woke up to see he was smothering Dude. “Sorry Dude.” Carlos let of go Dude who was gasping for air. “Are you okay?” Zeref asked.

“Y-yeah. Wh-why woul-wouldn’t I-I be?” Carlos stuttered. “Well, you’re stuttering, you shaking like crazy, and you kept yelling in you sleep.” Jasper answered. “I gue-guess i-it was a bad dream.” Carlos sighed.
