EP.145|2 Demons, This Should Be Fun.

Operetta was thrown into the dusty cold cell, she hated this, she needed to get out "Magdir! I swear to freaking gods and goddesses I'm gonna kick your ass when I get out of here!" Operetta yelled.

"Ain't that cute." Magdir chuckled, running his fingers along the cell bars. "Get. Away. From me. I want nothing to do with you!" Operetta snarled.

"Oh Operetta, you know there was a spark between us." Magdir lifted up her chin. "Was. There was a spark between us. You know Hunter is my one and only." Operetta growled.

"Oh you mean the little demon?" an orb appeared in Magdir's hands showing Hunter, the VKs and Demonia fighting through the guards as they tried to reach the palace.

"He's gonna kick your ass," Operetta promised. "Oh no, he's not gonna fight me, he'll fight someone much closer to him," Magdir smirked.

"There's too many of them!" Ben yelled out, biting one of the guards legs and flinging him to the side. "We near the palace doors, we need a plan," Carlos warned them.

"Alright, Hunter, you go after Magdir. Mal, you and Ben take Demonia to find her body. The rest of us will keep the guards at bay." CJ explained as the group nodded in agreement.

Mal, Demonia, Ben, and Hunter ran inside the castle to see it was empty "see you on the other side." Mal winced as they split up. "Operetta!" Hunter yelled, walking through the castle.

A ray of ice almost hit Hunter, luckily, she dodged it "Operetta?"

"Yes? You selfish douchebag?" Operetta snarled. "Thank gods I found you -- wait for what?" Hunter was confused.

"Magdir showed me the light, he was right about you, you really are a horrible demon." she walked down the staircase, a sharp ice sword in her hand "that I'm about to crush."

I'm sorry Operetta, please don't hate me. Hunter frowned, he didn't want to fight his beloved again.

Operetta charged at Hunter, making several quick, but futile thrusts at Hunter's head as he swiftly bobbed away from the blade, teasing her with several faces until he mockingly bows towards her.

A downward strike is blocked by the base of his Blood scythe, right before he tosses it in the air and draws it towards Operetta.

The two openly clash blades as Hunter landed a downwards strike, and aggressively swiped at Operetta, forcing her to do a series of back handsprings away from the greatsword and eventually block it.

Both Operetta and Hunter parry each of their foe's strikes with rapid speed, as Operetta dodges a two-handed swing before smacking Hunter's left cheek with the pommel of her saber.

But Hunter grins as his left eye flashes brightly and Operetta is forced to leap away with an ice glyph as Hunter slams his sword on the ground, shattering the floor.

Operetta then breaks away from the midair crane stance as she lands near a railing, which is subsequently destroyed with a swipe from Hunter.

Operetta then leaps above him and dodging his swings, finally leaping on top of his scythe, then giving him an excellent view of her foot as she kicks him in the face.

Operetta backflips onto the stump that used to be a railing, but then leaps off onto a railing high above, right as Hunter throws his sword at the stump.

Hunter transforms his weapon, firing a cannon shot at Operetta and forcing her to jump onto the side of a concrete, arched pillar.

She uses her sword to stay on the vertical surface until Hunter runs forward and tries firing more blasts at her, which she dodges by scaling the pillar's face and eventually leaping onto the archway itself.

Hunter follows suit on the opposite structure, firing off round after round at his opponent. Hunter searched for Operetta as he sees a cloud of white steam consume her, narrowing his gaze.

Suddenly, Operetta flew towards him, separating her saber into two, and Hunter blocked her attack. The arch collapsed from the force, causing the two to crash back down to ground level, continuing their furious attacks towards each other.

Hunter was forced backward and dragged his sword in the ground to slow and to a stop before holding it in a one-handed stance.

Operetta then stabbed the ground with one of her swords, summoning an ice glyph that created a flock of small white crows, which begin flying towards him.

Hunter swung his sword at the flock, causing a few to burst into small clouds of steam. He then sends a blood arc wave at Operetta, causing her to jump back and putting an end to the birds.

Operetta angrily summons a second ice glyph behind her, and the blade of Hunter's sword begins to transform in a sequence initiated by the blood it's made of.

But suddenly, his gaze travels to the Demon Blood roses in the garden, and he suddenly sheaths his sword, instead beckoning his bewildered opponent to come at him with his right index finger, bringing her towards the garden.

The ice glyph melts away, and there's a bright flash of light, followed by Operetta speeding forward with light trailing behind her. Hunter quickly grabbed one of the roses and closed his eyes, praying the plan he had in his head works.

"DIE!" Operetta yelled, her blade slicing his arm the same time her eyes focused on the rose.

"AGH!" Hunter screamed in pain, the rose began to light up, her sword melted away as Operetta dropped to the floor, looking at Hunter's arm on the ground. "Hunter...?" her eyes filled up with tears.

He didn't respond "Hunter! Please, Hunter, wake up!" Operetta pleaded, shaking Hunter back and forth. "HUNTER!!!" She screamed to the heavens, tears streaming down her face.

"Are we any closer to Demonia's body, Mal?" Ben questioned, running through the castle. "I think so, the feeling is getting a bit stronger," Mal replied, she stopped one they got to the basement door.

"We're here," Demonia said, they slowly walked towards the door, opening it to see Demonia's body locked inside a massive crystal. "It's huge." Ben gawked, circling around the crystal.

"You ready, Mal?" Demonia asked, Mal nodded, she closed her eyes and began focusing her energy. "Wow, so you finally found it." a mysterious voice clapping sarcastically.

Ben's eyes narrowed "Araden," Araden appeared out of the shadows "I'm honestly surprised, Demonia, I thought you'd never find a Demonic Dragon," he walked towards Mal "but lo and behold, you did."

"What the hell are you doing here?" Ben grimaced. "What? A big brother can't come to visit his little brother?" Araden tilted his head. "You are not my brother. You took control of my brother." Ben glared at him.

"All the same." Araden shrugged. "How?!" Ben scolded. "If you won't leave, then I'll just have to make you." Ben transformed into a lion and charged at Araden.

The demon rolled his eyes and extended his hand "Gravity Release: Crushing Grasp." Araden lifted Ben up in the air and condensed a large amount of gravity around Ben so that the force of gravity began crushing him.

"Ben, come on, you're a good person. I like you, I really do, you have so much power you don't even know it," Araden walked around Ben "so why do you choose to be with these Villains?"

"Because...they're my...friends." Ben managed to say. Araden rolled his eyes "I really don't wanna do this to you, Ben."

"Typhoon Release: Exploding Blades." blades of scorching hot water cut and burned Ben's skin, making him hiss in pain. "I guess Lucifer was wrong about you, he said you were strong but I just don't see it." Araden shrugged.

Mal couldn't stand watching Ben get hurt but she needed to charge up the move. "And you're wife's just sitting there, she must not care." Araden smirked, he knew which buttons to push to pissed Mal off.

Mal clenched her fist "keep focus. Ben can do this himself." Mal muttered to herself. "Clearly that's not true, I mean, have you seen him," lightning crashed down on Ben, making him yell out in pain "he's not doing well."

Mal growled, "calm down Mal." she told herself. "Yeah Mal, you should calm down, you don't wanna...explode." bright orbs that appeared around Ben began to explode.

"THAT'S IT!!" Mal yelled, her eyes turned into a crimson color as black flowers began to surround her, causing the room to shake.

"You came here, made Hunter lose his mate, hurt my mate, now, you're gonna pay!" once the flowers disappeared, Mal looked different, she didn't look like Mal, or Midnight, she looked demonic.

Mal's skin is currently a deathly pallor, with jet black sclera in her eyes, and glowing crimson irises that shine brighter when she is agitated.

While she initially retained her half-bun hairdo for her now bleached, pale white hair, she has since re-styled it into a larger bun with six offshoots wrapped together that also suspends several obsidian-colored ornaments.

She now has dark purple veins that line her face and arms, and now has a black diamond-shaped marking in the center of her forehead. She now wears a very long, short-sleeved black robe that obscures her feet and partially drags across the ground.

It's complete with a long shawl emblazoned with three interconnected, maroon-colored vertical elliptic sigils resembling a trio of overseeing eyes above a series of maroon-colored diamond emblems. She also wears a ring resembling an insect on her right index finger.

"Mal?" Demonia was shaking "oh honey, it's not Mal anymore, it's Zalia." Zalia smirked, "gods and goddesses it took a while to find a vessel, I must thank Midnight for helping me."

Zalia then saw Araden "YOU!" she yelled, "I've waited 200 years to find your ass!" Zalia marched up to Araden.

Zalia used the poison in her veins and expels it through her mouth in the form of a long, extending snake's fang, that swallowed Araden whole.

"Don't feel nice dose it, Araden?! Being cloaked in poison?! You don't have the luxury like I do to be able to absorb poison!" Zalia cackled, she threw Araden into the crystal, some of the poison began melting the crystal.

"Zalia...um, can you do that again?" Demonia requested, trying her best not to piss off Zalia. "You lowly dragon dares to speak to me?!" Zalia roared. "She's friends with Mal you idiot!" Midnight scolded.

"Who?" Zalia asked. "The vessel! The vessel you idiot!" Midnight rolled her eyes. "Wait, I thought you said this vessel was dead! You never told me she was still alive!" Zalia yelled.

"Well, I may have lied, plus, you were gonna use her anyways." Midnight shrugged "will you just help this dragon so Mal will stop whining about getting her body back."

Zalia sighed "fine, what do you want, you stupid dragon?" "we're trying to make the crystal break so I can get my body back but it looks like your poison melts the crystal," Demonia explained.

Zalia smacked Araden into the crystal repeatedly, making the crystal melt all the way "there." Demonia smiled widely as she touched her body, getting sucked into it.

"I'll...get...my revenge..." Araden disappeared into the shadows. Zalia transformed back into Mal, she was woozy. She saw Ben on the floor and rushed towards him "honey?" Ben slowly opened his eyes.

"Hey...you're not Zalia anymore." Ben chuckled. "Yes, I'm Mal." Mal kissed him softly.
