A howl echoed loudly in the air, sending birds flying out of trees. Some gunshots and curses were heard too, but then there was the sound of hard breathing and feet running.

Another howl came, but closer.

Dipper yelped and ran faster, his heart beating like crazy as his throat was dry and had a lump in it. He was being chased by wolves. And not just ANY old wolves...these were werewolves.

Okay, yes, it was stupid to go out on a full moon knowing the behavior of the weird town he lived in named Gravity Falls, but curiosity got the best of him, just like usual.

Maybe it wasn't the best to mess with a demon though...even if it was by accident.

He could hear Bill yelling through the air, wolves howling right behind him.

"WHEN YOU FIND PINE TREE, TEAR HIM TO SHREDS!!" He shouted with a mad cackle that echoed through the preteen's head.

The boy's eyes widened as he increased his speed, his heart rate went off the charts, his legs beginning to hurt and give up on him as he kept running.

He couldn't keep going for much longer. He knew this and his eyes stung at the thought of getting ripped apart by Bill's mangy mutts, never getting to say goodbye to his friends or family.

He shook his head hard and fast.

No. That wasn't how it was gonna go down.

Unfortunately, in the scheme of things, his thoughts caught up to him, and the next thing the 12-year-old knew, he was yelping in pain as he tripped over a root he failed to see ahead of him.

Dipper yelped once more, hissing in pain as his back hit the ground first, head following after. Dust spread everywhere as he landed. Cuts covered his knees and there was a nasty bump on his head, causing his vision to be slightly woozy, but it wasn't too bad to say the least.

The night sky and moon seemed to snicker as the kid got snatched by the back of his shirt, into the air and held by drooling, sharp teeth that belonged to an unwanted, vicious creature.

Someone was talking, but words seemed to go into his ears and right back out as whoever it was spoke. His head buzzed as he was forced to look up by a hand yanking his head up by the chin. The boy stared at the person in front of him...vision coming back together after a moment.

It was Bill.

He was snickering.

"Looks like you lost again, KID." He spat out his last word, emphasizing the fact he was just a kid. The triangle then snapped loudly and pointed to the ground as a signal for the dogs to throw him down to the ground.

Dipper yelped as he body-slammed into the dirt once more, the dusty substance getting into his cuts with his head and back throbbing even more. His arms shook wildly as he forced himself to sit up. Following that was the action of standing up on his shaking knees.

The werewolves were surrounding him in a circle that was unbeatable to fight against. There was no gap to run anywhere. They were all packed up in a circle tight and growling and snarling at him, drool dripping down from their mouths onto the dirt ground.

"Thought you could run away this time, didn't you." The demon scoffed, his invisible grin felt. He circled the preteen around, the boy's eyes following as he did so. "Run away from all your problems...just like normal, right?" The beast stopped them got ginormous as his eye was in the Pines' twin's face. "WELL YOU CAN'T THIS TIME."

"B-back off..." His voice choked out as his head still spun slightly.

He snorted in amusement. "Trying to threaten me, huh? You can't even see that well for that matter, now can you?"

Silence.

Then there was a snap of the fingers again.

A werewolf growled and let more drool drip out of it's mouth as it viciously yanked him up from the earth and tossed him down hard again. The kid screamed in pain as blood leaked from his head and nose. The creature then proceeded to slam a paw onto his chest, holding him down, only allowing him to be able to breathe barely.

"You've really done it this time, Pine Tree." His voice growled as he snapped.

The werewolf howled before raising it's head up and back, then launched it at the boy's shoulder, snapping their jaws into it. Dipper screamed in agony as he felt the sharp teeth meet his skin, the red liquid oozing down his arm.

"YOU REALLY MESSED UP, KID."

Another snap. Two snaps. Three snaps. Four.

One bite on his other shoulder, another in his leg, one in his arm, another following to his other arm. Blood dripped and slid down his arms and legs and down his shirt. Screams filled the air as he shook wildly, unable to control his fear.

"YOU KEEP MESSING UP MY PLANS....BUT IT WON'T BE LIKE THAT FOR LONG." His sickly, creepy voice shouted followed by yet another snap.

The werewolf looked up, with blood down it's jaw happily then moved to the 12-year-old's throat, jaws right above it. Dipper stared ahead at the sight of the sharp teeth. Some of his own blood from the creature's mouth dropped onto his face. It made him feel sick and nauseous.

"SO ANSWER ME THIS, KID." He stared at the victim. "IF A PINE TREE FALLS...BUT NO ONE CAN HEAR IT....DOES IT MAKE A SOUND?"

The invisible grin came back as another loud snap filled the air, as well as a scream that was soon cut off without choice.
