Imagine you’re with harry and he’s been away on tour for a long time and it’s been really hard because the distance thing is putting such a strain on your relationship and little things that normally wouldn’t be a big deal are starting to eat away at each other and you can’t stop fighting over things that aren’t important and you’re both aware of what you’re doing but you can’t stop what seems to be inevitable and you’re both just digging yourselves deeper and deeper and it hurts so bad because you’re positive you’ll never love anyone the way you love him and you can see it on his face when he does interviews that he’s not happy because things are going so badly between you so and one night you’re on the phone with him and you can hear it in his voice that he’s drained and exhausted and you feel so guilty for putting him through this and you want him to be happy so you whisper ‘I can’t do this forever’ and you hear him take in a deep breath because he knows that you need some time apart because whatever you’re doing now is breaking you both in half so you’re both crying steadily and your hearts are shattering as you call it off and you know you’ll regret it for the rest of your live because you’ve never had a love like this with anyone and you’re pretty sure he has the other half of your soul but you can’t bare to see him unhappy. Then months will go by and you’ll still feel like your insides have been reduced to black ash and there’s no real point to your life anymore because how are you supposed to carry on when the light in your life has been extinguished? So one day you’re walking aimlessly down the street in search of something to distract your heart from the devastating ache that’s been there ever since you said goodbye to him when suddenly you see him walking toward you but he’s looking at the ground and you don’t think he’s noticed you and you consider rushing past in hopes of him not seeing you at all but you can’t bring yourself to do it cause you’re weak and you miss him so you stop walking and he looks up just before he passes you and he nearly trips over his feet and a wide grin cracks across his face before he remembers you aren’t together and you see his features fall and you can tell he’s just as miserable as you are and when he finally speaks it’s like angels are singing because god you’ve missed the way your name sounds as it rolls off his lips and you feel like you might pass out when you hear him say ‘we’ve made a terrible mistake’ because it’s exactly what you’ve been thinking for months but you didn’t want to run back to him because he deserves someone who will make him happy and you obviously can’t be the one but you do manage to nod and whisper ‘I miss you so much’ and suddenly his chest is crashing into yours and his arms are wrapped around you and your face is pressing into his neck and you feel like you’ve finally come home after being gone for ages and it’s like no time has passed since you’ve touched him and you whisper that you love him and he sighs happily and pulls back enough to look you in the eye and he says he’s never stopped loving you and he kisses you and I’M OUT.
