---3rd Person's Pov---

Laurence widens his eyes in shock. "You're not a monster!" He yells angrily. "You're Y/N! You're the amazing girl that made everyone smile! You're the girl who befriended everyone!"

The chuckle that came from the girl made everyone shiver from terror. "Oh Laurence." She smirks. "You're so, so naive. Does it look like I'm that same girl?"

He looks down and his fists clench tightly resulting in his knuckles turning white. "I know you are! Somewhere deep inside you is that same girl I love!"

Y/N's heart clenches at the sight and she growls. "Just shut up alright? Just shut the heck up! Don't try! I'M NOT LIKE YOU LAURENCE! I'M NOT LIKE ANYONE HERE! WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO?!"

Tears fall from Laurence's eyes. "I....I love you! DON'T LEAVE ME AGAIN! PLEASE! I LOVE YOU Y/N!"

She shakes her head and runs towards him, kicking him in the stomach. He gets launched a few feet back but quickly regains his posture.

"I can't fight you Y/N....you know that..."

She runs back towards him and kicks his feet out from under him and he falls flat on his face. "If you want to kill me, do it. I can't live in a world without you. If it will make you happy, I'll die."

She stands there, in front of the fallen Laurence. She hesitantly raises her sword above his head. He tightly closes his eyes until he feels a wave of wind go inches away from his face. He opens one eye, then the other, to see Y/N's sword plunged into the ground.

The faintest of whispers were heard but Laurence understood it clearly.

"I can't."

He slowly stands up and watches how she just turns and starts to walk away. His eyes widen and he immediately stands up and sprints over to wrap his arms around her waist. She halts at the feeling almost instantly.

"I'm not letting you go."

The worst part of this was, that Y/N didn't want him to let her go. She was terrified. Terrified at what she could become. Terrified of the feelings she may lose.

Tears pour out of her eyes as, in the blink of an eye, she flashes behind Laurence. "I'm so sorry Laurence. Please, please take care of yourself." She whispers painfully into his ear.

She lays two fingers on the pressure point on Laurence's neck and presses down harshly. He falls limp to the ground and she wipes her tears.

"I'll be back..... but I may not be myself."

---Laurence's Pov--- (Small Pov, sowwy)

I sit quietly in the clearing after waking up and I stare at the empty area where Y/N was. I was hoping that by some miracle she would just be back and what had happened was a nightmare.

But I knew it wasn't.

I clench my fists and end up pulling out a handful of plants along with it. I angrily yell and throw the grass into the air. Tears were involuntarily falling and at that point I didn't care.

"WHY DID YOU LEAVE ME AGAIN?!" I screamed to the empty space. "WHY COULDN'T YOU HAVE STAYED!? WHY?!"

I glimpse over at Aphmau to see her laying on her back with her hand tightly clenching the roots of her hair. "YOU TOLD ME TO TAKE CARE OF MYSELF BUT I CAN'T WITHOUT YOU!" I cry.

"I CAN'T LET YOU GO!"

---Y/N's Pov---

Zenix creates a nether portal and lights it without another word. It's not like I want him to say anything anyway. I still couldn't wrap my head around the fact that the next time I see Laurence I'll have to kill him. I don't want to, to be completely honest. It was so long ago when he had became a shadow knight, so maybe his feelings really did change. Maybe he did still love me.

But, no matter what, I'm still forever madly in love with him.

I don't even know if I want to do this, but I've already started and Zenix won't just let me quit just like that.

"Y/N, I heared what you told Laurence back there." He says, gripping on my wrist. I wince and widen my eyes slightly. He knew?!

"I have to make sure you are in this one-hundred percent. Of course, I'm not stupid. I know that you are kind of confused on whether you would like to do this or not so I'll make it easy for you."

I tilt my head slightly in confusion until he kicks my stomach and I launch into a cell we were walking by. "Oh trust me." He cackles. "It will definitely be easy for you to choose afterwards."

He chucks a potion at me and I feel myself slipping out of consciousness. "Pl-ease...." I whisper before the world around me becomes dark.

Dream

I open my eyes to an empty clearing. It was beautifully decorated with different colored flowers. Tears fall from my eyes when I remember how I'll be a totally different person when I wake up.

No, at that point I won't even be human.

I fall to my knees and a quiet cry falls from my lips. "This was a mistake... I should've stayed with Phoenix Drop.... WHY AM I SUCH AN IDIOT?!" I sob, clenching my fists. "I'm so...so blinded by my own damn emotions!"

I start to remember a song I had heared previous to me joining Zenix. I take in a deep breath and begin to sing.

Sobs quickly follow the song and I bury my head in my hands. "Y-Y/N?" A voice cracks from behind me.

I quickly wipe my tears on my arm and turn around and I automatically smile.

"L-Laurence!"

Hey y'all! I hope you guys enjoyed the chapter. I've worked pretty dang hard on it. Fact of the day: apparently I can't sit down and write a chapter for more than thirty minutes without getting antsy :'D
