No. I can't stay here. Although the thought sent a wave of pain and sadness throughout him, he knew the thought was true. The dust held a magic, almost all its own, a kind of force that tugged on a cats heart. Frost felt that He must follow it, else his heart should break.

He turned and lept down from the windowsill, and trotted to his Humans room. Jumping onto their nest-bed on the Females side, he rubbed his chin against her cheek. Waking up, she murmured Human words and stroked his fur with her furless paw, kissed his head, then turned and went back to sleep. Crossing her body, Frost meowed and purred in his male humans ear. He yawned and patted Frost, then scratched the base of his tail. When he was quite finished, he fell back asleep with a sigh.

"Goodnight, my Humans. I will always love you, and never forget what you have done for me." He meowed in a quiet, mournful voice. Then he turned and scurried out of the house and through the window to chase after the trail.

He kept a careful eye on the ever disappearing trail. At times he lost is completely,  and wandered aimlessly around the woods until he happened upon it again. Soon, the forest soon thined, and he knew he wasn't  (in Kansas anymore) in his home town anymore. He had ventured far and wide, where he lived, but never the Forest. It was said to be full of evil spirits, mystical things like magic, and a pawful of 'what was that?'.

Cats who entered the forest were never seen again. Frost gulped.

He emerged into a clearing that was a tall and steep hill. It seemed to stretch forever, all the way up to the moon. With a huff and an eye roll, he climbed to the top. The trail ended there. Looking around, Frost had the strange urge to jump straight up. Well, no harm in trying, right? What is the worst that could happen? He bunched his muscles as much as he could, and sprang right into the air.

Something... odd happened. In stead of falling back to earth like he should have, he actually seemed to be either flying or floating to the moon! I'm dreaming. I must be!

As soon as he landed on the moon - an odd occurrence for such a common house cat - he saw many cats. Okay, this comfirms it. They were all some sort of color between blue and gray and black and white. As soon as they sensed him, they all turned to stare. Their eyes were a solid blue-gray. Their tails long. Their fur long and fluffy. I'm dreaming. Dreaming or dead. This isn't real. I'm loosing my mind!

 "Ehm... Hi?" Frost meowed quietly.
