"I told Gamora... how when I was a kid I used to pretend David Hasselhoff was my dad. He's a singer and actor from Earth, really famous guy. Earlier, it struck me... Yondu didn't have a talking car, but he did have a flying arrow. He didn't have the beautiful voice of an angel but he did have the whistle of one. Both Yondu and David Hasselhoff went on kick-ass adventures and hooked up with hot women and fought robots. I guess David Hasselhoff did kind of end up being my dad after all. Only it was you, Yondu. I had a pretty cool dad. What I'm trying to say here is... sometimes that thing you're searching for your whole life... it's right there by your side all along. You don't even know it" Peter said. "I am Groot" Groot said. "He did call you twig" you said. Then you sniffed and rubbed your eyes before walking out of the room. Rocket watched, and then got up from his spot and followed you. You stopped walking, and rubbed a tear from your eye. "Y/N..." Rocket said. You stayed where you were. Rocket hesitated. "I know you've been through a lot, and, I know I've been a big pain in the you know what, and I know I've been hard on you these past couple months, you went through all of the same things I did, I mean we're technically the same person if you think about it, been through the same stuff, we both create weapons, we both understand all types of languages, including Groot language" Rocket said. You chuckled slightly. "And even though I am a pain, and I tend to upset you at times, you... you stay. And no matter how angry you get, you still stay with me" Rocket said. "Of course I still stay with you, you idiot" you said. You turned around. "You're my brother. And we fight because we love each other. And of course I get mad, but you're not just my brother, you're my best friend. I wouldn't trade you for anyone else in the galaxy" you said. Rocket was silent after that. Then he hugged you tightly. You were a bit surprised at first, but you smiled and hugged him back. "You will always be my sister" he said.

You, Rocket, Groot, Gamora, Drax, Mantis and Kraglin all watched as Yundo was slowly lifted out from the spaceship and into outer space. "Pete!" Kraglin called as Peter began to walk away. Peter turned around and looked at him. "Captain found this for you in a junker shop. Said you'd come back to the fold someday" Kraglin said as he handed him a Zune. "What is it?" Peter asked. "It's called a Zune. It's what everybody's listening to on Earth nowadays. It's got 300 songs on it" Kraglin said. "300 songs?" Peter asked in shock. Kraglin nodded, and was about to leave. "Wait" Peter said. Kraglin looked at him. Peter gave him Yundo's arrow. "Y/N grabbed the pieces, and reassembled them. I think Yondu would want you to have it" he said. Kraglin looked at the arrow speechless. Then he looked back at Peter. "Thanks... Captain" he said. Peter smiled.

Peter found the song "Father Son" on the Zune and began to play it. Groot walked beside him and sat down next to him. Then he reached his arms out, singling to Peter that he wanted to listen. Peter handed him a headphone, and Groot put it beside his ear. You smiled and looked into the sky as you saw spaceships approaching. "They came" you said. Groot pointed out the window. "What is it?" Drax asked. "I sent word to Yondu's old Ravager buddies, and told them what he did" Rocket said. "It's a Ravager funeral" Peter said. Fireworks appeared from each of the spaceships. Kraglin looked out the window in amazement. "Yeah! Yeah!" Kraglin cheered. "He didn't let us down after all, Captain" "No, he did not, son. He did not" "Fare thee well, old friend" "Yondu Udonta, I will see you in the stars"

"He didn't chase them away" you said. "No" Peter said. "Even though he yelled at them. And was always mean. And he stole batteries he didn't need" you said, rubbing your eyes. Peter frowned, and looked at you. "Well, of course not" he said. Groot reached over to Drax, and Gamora put him on Drax's shoulder. Groot hugged him, and Drax patted him on the back. Gamora looked over at Peter, and Peter looked at her. "What?" He asked. "It's just... some unspoken thing" she said. Peter nodded, and put an arm around Gamora. Gamora leaned against him. "It's beautiful" Mantis said as she looked at all of the fireworks coming from the spaceships. "It is. And so are you. On the inside" Drax added. Then a red firework shaped like an arrow zoomed past. You smiled, as a single tear fell from your eye.
