West POV

After I fixed my armour, I put it on and walked around the village and saw Maria, talking to Veronica and Alice, she was holding a battle rifle, she didn't see me and Veronica and Alice saw me gesture and stayed quiet.

"Nothing happened last night, but he has got the bod..." Was all Maria could say before I placed my hand over her face, "surprise" I say, she jumped, then turned and smiled, "I think it was better when you weren't in your armour" she says, "yeah, I can tell by the way you were telling your friends about my body" I say, to this, Maria blushed slightly.

"I have a question, a-are you gay ?" Asked Alice, "no, I don't swing that way" I say, but to be honest, I haven't had sex in a long time, so I could question myself, "it wouldn't hurt to prove it once in a while" says Maria, in a joking tone, but I can tell that she meant it, "ha, perhaps I will..." Maria's smile grow, then I finished my sentence, "or maybe I wouldn't", to this, Maria stopped smiling.

After a brief talk, I got to the point, "I'm going on another night patrol, to test my armours stealth and camo systems" I say, the girls just nod, I then say goodbye and headed to the weapons, I got a battle rifle, my magnum and my assault rifle.

I saw that night was fast approaching and headed to the edge of the village, turned on my active camo and sighed, then walked in a certain direction for about 20 minutes, it was pitch black by then, but I reached my destination and waited, with my camo still active and after about 10 minutes, Cindy walks out a looks around.

I have a feeling that she is looking around and waiting for me, so I walked up to her, "oh, where is he ?, I wish that he would show up soon, I hope he hasn't forgotten about me" I heard Cindy say, wow, that's something that seems too unreal but I know that every single female I come into contact with seems to fall for me, and I can't really say I don't fancy any of them, I just don't know how to act.

I deactivate my camo and walk out from behind a tree, "I don't suppose that your looking for me, are you ?" I say, Cindy ran up to me and hugged me, "I thought you forgot about me" she says, then steps back and starts to blush, realising what she said, I thought I should cheer her up and said "I doubt that I could forget about my cute friend that I spoke to on that rememberable night" I say, she blushed in a deep shade of red when she heard the word "cute".

She stuttered "W-what ?, I... You said... I-You think... I'm c-cute ?" She was clearly surprised, "well, I wouldn't say it if I didn't mean it" I say and moved to her, and stuck out my hand, "come with me, I have something to show you", "o-ok" Cindy replied and grabbed my hand, I then placed her on my back, "hold on" I say and started to take off to a sprint the a mountain about a mile away, it was small compared to the others around it but would take a whole day for a normal human to climb, but I'm a spartan.

I reached the top of the mountain in about 5 minutes and removed Cindy's hand from my helmet and lowered her to the ground, she looked up and saw the brightly lit stars in the sky, like crystals scattered across a fine black silk. "Wow, is this what you wanted to show me ?" Cindy said.
"Yes, and also, I came from up there, from a planet beyond the stars, lots of beautiful planets, multiple Suns and moons, throughout the whole galaxy, and there is more, but the war came and we have lost so many planets, too many humans have died. The galaxy it a beautiful yet deadly place, I know what comes, and when it does come, I will fight for this planet, for everyone, for you" I say, I couldn't believe that I said the last part but I didn't care so much now, I remove my helmet and look at the stars, then back to Cindy, the starlight reflected off her white skin, at that moment, she seemed to be the most beautiful woman I had ever seen, she faces me and looks me in the eyes, her face came closer to mine, and for some reason,mine went closer to hers, our faces were a mere inch from each other.

This moment looked like the most greatest moment in my entire life and that nothing will happen or could break this.
