Harry lay awake on his bed rethinking the kiss from the Battle with none other then Ginny Weasley. Everyone thought he was staying in his room because of the recent deaths. That was part of the reason. The main reason was he was too scared to face Ginny the love of his life, in case of rejection. Yes he Harry James Potter the Boy Who Lived, The Saviour Of The Wizarding World was scared of rejection. See when he was 16 and she was 15 Harry broke up with Ginny for her safety. Now 2 years later Harry desperately wanted to ask her to be his but there were many problems, 1. Ron (or any other of her brothers) would not like that considering Harry broke her heart, 2. He was scared, and 3. Ginny had just been dumped by her ex boyfriend 3 days ago. It was not like 6th year when she actually wanted him. Harry's thoughts were interrupted by Hermione.
"She loves you. You know that right?"
"What are you talking about?"
"She was trying to make you jealous."
"Who?"
"You are so clueless. Ginny of course!" Harry felt a sense of hope as Hermione said that. He quickly pushed it away though. He didn't want to be even more heartbroken by fake hope. A few days later Ginny pulled him aside.
"What can I..."
"You've been avoiding me."
"No I..."
"It was a statement not a question."
"What if I have? What does it..."
"Why?"
"Why? Why? Oh I don't know, maybe because I love you. But you obviously don't love me like I love you. It pains me so much Ginny. So I feel like it's better if we keep a distance."
"Wait Harry..."
"No Ginny. Bye. I will be out of everyone's hair by next Wednesday."
"You are so dumb you know."
"No need to insult me."
"I love you so much Harry James Potter!"
"Y-You do?" Harry pinched himself to make sure he wasn't dreaming. From that day on they were an inseparable couple, they eventually got married and had 3 children. James Sirius Potter, Albus Severus Potter and Lily Luna Potter.
