Welcome back everyone, time for the beginning of the end.

So time for a little recap on the last four months as I just want to summarize them as I have more important things to get to. First off I lost all connection with Nagito after he was suspended. And he still hasn't came back after five months. Second off Seiko and I are still good friends hanging out most weekends and it was very clear to me that Seiko doesn't hang out with Ruruka anymore. Thank goodness for that. Third off class is now so boring without Ms. Yukizome. Our new teacher is so boring.

A few of my classmates seem to also want to go back to their old routines of skipping class. But me and Chiaki wouldn't let them. Also in some rather unrelated news. Hiyoko went through a growth spurt and is now taller than me. And finally yesterday me and Chiaki had the class throw a welcome back party for Ms. Yukizome. She was surprised that Nagito wasn't back and also by Hiyoko's growth spurt.

Ok so it all started a day ago when I decided that I wanted to go eat at a local restaurant called Sake 2 Me Sushi for dinner. Which had left me with some nice memories of going there with Hajime and our younger sister Hikari as children. So I arrived at the restaurant and went inside and accidentally rammed straight into another girl.

Who little did I know would be responsible for a lot of horrible things. But I was kind of stupid and was nice to her. "Oh my gosh. I am so sorry about that. I must not have been paying attention to where I was walking." I say as I help her up and handed her the silver clutch wallet that she was carrying.

As I pulled her up off of the ground I saw that she was a girl around my age with long strawberry blonde hair ,which was pulled back into two pigtails. Which were held in by a red and white bow, and a white bunny hair clip. Along with that she was wearing a black cardigan over a white dress shirt. The top button of her shirt was undone and the white tie she was wearing was loose. Her ocean blue eyes and pale skin made her look very beautiful.

After I had helped her up she smoothed her red mini skirt and then glanced at her red fake nails before making eye contact with me. And she immediately hugged me. I was both confused and kind of okay with it. Barely anyone besides my family had ever hugged me like that.

"It is okay, I should have payed more attention too. I like your dress. What is your name?" She asked me as I was confused. Why was she being so nice to me even though I rammed straight into her. I looked down at the emerald green maxi dress I was wearing. "Uh my name is Hayami. Hayami Hinata, nice to meet you. Once again I am so sorry about that." I say as I look the blonde girl in the eyes.

"You don't need to apologize. I am Junko Enoshima, by the way do you go to Hope's Peak? I feel like I saw you on their website." Junko asks and I become confused. Hope's Peak has a website. "Um yeah I go to Hope's Peak...I'm the Ultimate Artist. Why do you ask?" I ask . "Well now that I know that my original thought was correct. I was wondering I am coming in as a member of the 78th class in three days. You wouldn't mind showing me around campus would you?" Junko asks I should have said no but I said yes.

"So can I have you meet me at the Hope's Peak entrance tomorrow at three pm?" I ask and Junko hands me a piece of paper. "I'll be there. Just in case here is my phone number." Junko says and I take the piece of paper. "Thanks Junko, so I guess I will see you tomorrow." I said as I walk to the counter and order my sushi. "Yeah see you Hayami. This was truly a fateful encounter." Junko said as she headed out of the restaurant.

The next day was quite different first off I was walking into the campus with Mikan when something weird happened. "So Mikan are you excited about being an upperclassman?" I ask as Mikan and I walk near the gate. "Yeah I am really excited." Mikan says and then things get weird as Ryota runs over to us and slams his hand on the wall.

"Mikan I need you to come with me!" Ryota says and we both get confused. "What is going right now?" I ask but before I could get a response Ryota picked up Mikan bridal style and started to run off. "Oh no. This is the only type of interaction you see on late night television!" Mikan yells as I run after her and Ryota. Which then leads us to Ryota's dorm room. This where things get even weirder.

"Uhh, can someone please explain to me what is going on? Why are there two Ryotas now." I ask as I shift my gaze to the Ryota lying unconscious. "Well I guess that I have to explain. So Mikan are you done?" Ryota asks shifting towards her. "Yes, if he eats a bit more and gets some sleep. So please continue." Mikan says putting an ice pack on skinny Ryota's forehead.

"Well ok. So it all started when one night near the beginning our first school year that I had began to hear some odd noises." Ryota says before continuing. "So I decided that I wanted to know what it was. So I walked down the hall and found that the door to this room was open. So I looked into it to see Ryota unconscious on the floor." He said before I just gained an interest in the story. "I put him in his bed and waited for him to regain his consciousness. And then once he had awaken I explained. My true talent is the Ultimate Impostor. I don't have no family register, living relatives, nothing." He says and Mikan and me nod.

"Ok then what?" I ask as he continues. "I told Ryota that I had done some research on him. I knew that he was the Ultimate Animator and that is all that he wanted to do...work on his anime. And I knew that would be useful to me as well as we agreed that I would usurp his identity and go to his classes for him so that he could work on his anime. Our interests were mutual." He says and I understand and sympathies as well.

Sometimes I only want to work on my art as well. I look back up as I finish writing the conversation down. He looks back at Mikan and me before finishing. "So that is how it is." He says and Mikan looks confused and scared. "What's wrong Mikan?" He asks as I question it too. "Well since you have told us everything...you have no intent of letting us leave alive, right?" Mikan asks. "Don't be ridiculous Mikan. It seems that Hayami has already realized it but I'm not going to hurt you." He says and I walk over to comfort Mikan.

"Then is this how it is going to be?But I am sorry if I live up to your expectations." Mikan says as she began to take her jacket off and I began to want to look away. He then but his hand on her shoulder and stopped her. "Uhh Mikan that won't be necessary. I trust the classmates that I have grown to know." He says and I smile. "Aw this is so nice of you to trust us like this. We promise not to tell anyone." I say as I pass Mikan her jacket.

"Yes but you really trust me?" Mikan asks as she slides her jacket back on. Once she did Mikan stood up and started bowing at the waist with tears of joy falling down her face. "Thank you!" Mikan said as she continued bowing. "Why should you be thanking me?" He asks. "It is because aside from Hayami no one has ever said something so nice to me before. "Mikan as of tomorrow we'll be upperclassmen. Have more confidence in yourself." He says and I give her a hug and a smile. I ship it! "Ok yes I will!" Mikan says looking back over to Ryota.

"Well I guess that I should go now I will let you guys finish up. I would stay but I agreed to show one of the new students around the school." I say picking up my bag before heading to the door. "Well then, bye Hayami see you later." Mikan says waving. I wave back and head off to meet Junko in front of the school for our little tour.

Once I reached the front of the school at about two forty-five. Since I was early I sat down on the bench and pulled out the Hope Cultivation Plan file and sat it down in my lap to scan through it once again because I just felt like it at the time. Even a year later I can't believe that Hope's Peak would do something like this. Creating artificial hope in order to satisfy their own selfish motives.

Hayami you need to stop thinking about that if you keep focusing on the past then your future will never come into fruition. "Hi Hayami, what is that you are reading?" I heard from in front of me as I looked up to see Junko looking at me. "Oh hi Junko. It is good to see you but I have something I want to tell you first so want to go over to my dorm room where it is a bit more private?" I ask as I open up my bag and put the file back inside. "Sure. I'll follow your lead." Junko says as I stand up. "Ok let's go then." I say as we head onto campus to my dorm.

"Well this is the place. Sorry if it is a bit too organized. I can be a bit of a neat freak sometimes." I say as I open the door and walk in with Junko directly behind me. "It's ok. I am a lot like that as well. Also that painting looks nice." Junko says pointing at my easel in the corner that has a picture that I am making on it. "Oh thanks I was just doing to take my mind off of things. Feel free to sit down at my table, I am just going to change quickly." I say as I set down my bag and head over to the bathroom.

"Okie dokie." Junko says as I change. I put on a white blouse and a black skirt. "Ok I'm done." I say as I walk out of the bathroom. "Wow that looks really nice. So what did you want to tell me?" Junko asks as I sit down at my table across from her. "Well I was wondering... why were you so interested in me?" I ask. "Well to put it lightly you are interesting. I can tell when someone is different. You are filled with so much hope that I knew I had to get to know you." Junko says as she puts a smile onto her face.

"Oh thank you. But I know that hope isn't always going be entertaining to me. I know that hope will always end the same way. I guess that I have just gotten bored of it sort of." I say looking down to the table. "Well I have to agree with you there. Hope is harmony. A just heart, moving toward the light. That is all. Despair is hope's polar opposite. It is messy and confusing. It swallows up love, hatred, and everything else. Because not knowing where you will end up is despair. It seems that like me you can see many steps in advance and because of that you can often internally be bored of the hope that you are always showing to others." Junko says and I nod in agreement.

"I see. So you see despair as an unknown principle. Because of your super analytic ability, you was thoroughly bored with this world. The hope everyone longs for is just a preexisting harmony. But despair was the one thing that was different. The heart-racing excitement of messy despair has a taste like you've never known! I get it that is how I sometimes feel to." I say as I pull out the file from my bag.

"Yeah that is exactly what I think all of the time. Also is that what you were reading earlier when I arrived." Junko asked as I set the file down on the table. "Yes it is this a file on a secret of Hope's Peak called the Hope Cultivation Plan. Let me just start out by saying that it is not a good thing to put it mildly." I say opening the file and turning it to face Junko. Junko picks up the file and quickly reads over it.

"Oh my this is just wow. Why would Hope's Peak be performing highly illegal human experimentation?" Junko asks. "Most likely to create an artificial hope to solve their own selfish desires. But I'll tell you more about this after the tour." I say as I stand up from my chair. "Ok sounds good to me. Let's go." Junko says as she puts the file in her bag without me noticing. Soon enough we leave the room and I start the tour around the campus.
