At recess, everyone was enjoying it while they could as they would every day. Chloe was with her group of friends, three girls and a boy. "And so everyone just has that scared look on again like what the ell is up with everyone and me being 'intimidating'?" Chloe said to her friends. "Is it because you've had a criminal record of committing over 80 crime or something?" Chloe's best friend, Ceen Allister replied. "And you did kinda escaped jail a billion times." The boy named Benjamin said. Chloe shrugged. "But still, it doesn't make sense!" she said. Then, David walked passed them all by himself.

Chloe blinked twice. "Yo, David!" she called. David turned to Chloe with an expressionless reaction. "Wanna hang with us?" Chloe asked. "Is she trying to be nice or does she just want another friend?" David thought. He nodded and stayed with Benjamin, Ceen, and Chloe. "So this is David. The new kid in my class. He's probably one of the first new students who didn't shriek when they saw me." Chloe said. David did a weak wave along with a weak smile.
Ceen and Benjamin waved back to David. "What convinced you to came to this school, David?" Celine asked. David sighed. "Well....I don't really wanna explain it..." he said as he turned away. "C'mon, dude." Chloe said, crouching. "You can tell us anything, we can keep secrets." Benjamin said. "Yep. You can trust us!" Ceen agreed with both of them. David took a deep breath. "Well, since I live with my aunt, uncle and cousins, I moved from Green River to here since of an explosion that occurred." David explained. The three of them blinked twice at David. "Why your aunt and uncle?" asked Ceen. "Because my parents abandoned me...." he replied.
Miss Jackson blew the whistle, signalling for everyone to line up. Chloe, Ceen, Benjamin, and David went in line to get lunch. David forgot his lunch so he had no other choice but to get lunch from school.
