Shivaay took the stairs and reached the third floor in hurry . Without stopping anywhere, he made his way straight towards the ward and opened the door .

With the baby in her arms , she bent down and blew the candles . Her side vision caught someone's presence already, she looked aside and found him there .

Covered with sweat , breathing through nose and mouth , there he stood watching nothing but  her alone.

The distance between them was long but they tried well to seek and capture each other's eyes .

Her eyes spoke a much of anger while his reflected the smile which ran on his lips .

Both remained captivated in each other's sight. And slowly he took his eyes to take a complete glimpse of her.

She looked different today , a neatly draped saree of peach shade with a netted blouse of the same colour which ran to end just above her elbow,that's what she was wearing today . A messy side plait having some baby hairs and fringes covering little spots of her face . Though the distance remained long , he knew she carried nil makeup on her face . As long as he had his eyes on her , more and even more it started beating ,  his heart .

Plus , how her arms comforted the child, he was shook by the sight . This woman infront could be his life and death at the same time , he knew , for which his lips couldn't stop the soft smile which emerged .

By then Rudra jogged forward and dragged shivaay inside .

Ru - finally!!  what's this baiya ? Where did you go ! Prepared everything and just disappeared ? this is not done . Come .

It struck her mind immediately when she heard Rudra's words. He planned all this ? Her eyes of steam shrinked to something smooth as she noticed him close . And she almost shut her eyes tight when he made a move against her . Closed fists and fast breaths , she had . Shivaay planted a light kiss on the babies head , and she realized it only when he took the baby from her.

Within the next few seconds, she already felt his palm covering her behind head securely for he soon pressed his lips on her skin just over her temple and whispered.

S- happy birthday annika.

That tiny tear which escaped her left eye said it all in that second . Shivaay was really taken aback by it though , he frowned in concern and wiped it away . Well, annika herself wasn't aware why it ran down but his mere gesture and words brought up this in her . The yearn she kept held throughout the day , maybe  that's the reason , she told herself. Annika didn't want to but there was nothing she could do to hide the light smile which bloomed on her face . This was something uncontrollable, after watching him, after getting what she was expecting all this time,  that's what her heart made her do.

Everyone clapped when she cut the cake and fed him first, well, they both didn't hear any of the noise though . All they both could see and feel was  each other alone . The moments moved slow and  slower for them .

Annika found him standing outside the ward , by the corridor . She went close to him and cleared her throat , he turned .

A- thank you.

He just smiled in return and looked away when she spoke again .

A - where did you go , I mean Rudy said it was your plan but you didn't...vaise why this plan ? everyone?

Shivaay chuckled as she completed with a questioning tone.

S- how many questions annika ? Actually I should have wished you first but that didn't happen , so I just thought to bring a more number of wishes to you because if I keep saying it again and again cheesy hoga na .

Annika raised her brows and smiled back on hearing his explanation.

A- did you forget ?

S- to be honest , I really didn't know at the first place.

She frowned .

A- I'll check and get an appointment with the ENT specialist here haan

Shivaay was confused when she spoke worriedly.

S- why ? You're okay right !

A- it's for you .

S- what the hell ! I'm fine , perfect!

A- no you aren't,  I hinted you about my birthday this morning but you really didn't hear ?

S- when ?

A- shivaay there's something big wrong with your ears , don't worry haan I'll bring you the best doctor here .

Saying this she ran past him but he caught her elbow right away making her halt .

S- when ?

A- this morning when I was getting ready.

Shivaay silently thought for a few seconds and crushed his eyes on realizing something .

S- annika I'm ok , I was in a meeting , in a call so I guess I didn't hear you.

A- bluetooth ?

S- yup .

A- can I have it for a second ?

S- for what ?

A- give it to me shivaay .

His confused reaction turned into a wild shock when she took it from him and stomped it below her foot. It broke into pieces.

S- annika annika ani! Why !

He went clueless and tried to stop but she immediately snatched his collars with both her hands.

A- learn to use your phone instead ok , you won't know what all I had to go through because of this !

He decided to be quite , noticing the sharp rage in her eyes . She seemed grudge filled .

Her mobile started ringing suddenly to break the span of anger in her , she released him . She thought for sometime before swiping the green after noticing the caller id .

A- papa .

Shivaay concentrated keenly on her expressions all the while but she hardly realized it though .

R / M- happy birthday annika !

She grinned on hearing both their wishes at once . Well , the smile remained unstoppable for  few seconds.  And the man on this side was equally happy to have got a chance to see this.

A- thanks.

She barely whispered as she didn't know what to speak further . Shivaay was surprised by her reaction , he expected her to bombard her parents with words and complains and arguments, but . Maybe this time everyone had hurt her really hard , he felt guilty .

M - sorry annika , we didn't realize anything . Ham , we were so worried for charu and pata hi nahi chala

On getting no proper response from annika , both realized the state of her mind . Annika is a human too, just because she's good they couldn't expect her to forgive all the time . They understood their fault and apologized genuinely.

A- please papa don't, it's ok . Take care of charu , I'll visit in a few days .

That's what she uttered when her father apoloziged again. 

C- papa hang up , I'm going on a video call with her .

Annika heard charu's voice on the background .

M- fine, annika we'll call you later haan

A- bye maa .

She looked around and started walking towards the spot seeking a good light . Shivaay didn't follow her , he remained where he was and kept his eyes on her .

She attended the call and held the phone right infront of her face as soon as she noticed the call .

C- happy birthday sister !

A- you hardly even resemble a patient  ,you acted yesterday right ?

Charu was pissed off .

C- 3 injections on the same area , you know what I've been through ?

A- chal dog , you deserve it for making me cry .

C- mein ? I made you cry ? As if you didn't !

A- tho ? You recall what all you said and then start this argument ok , stupid pig!

C- my fault, I shouldn't have even called you . I was thinking to ask sorry par tum tho

A- finally! God is real ,I believe now .

C - don't act too smart annika , I agree that I blamed you unnecessarily but it all started

A- bas haan , don't dig things again!

Shivaay who was watching all this from a distance found it weird . Like he couldn't hear anything but she seemed to have a good conversation though , well, argument it seemed but still for annika  that's the kind of attitude which occurs when charu's on the line . Shivaay knew this .

But from her side , this thing is very usual .Annika knew and she was waiting for this moment  , because from the beginning it was always like this between them . Charu was never a person who would hesitate to apologise and annika had a good experience in handling this . So she didn't actually get angry on charu much because her nature it is . She would get angry blame like stupid and come around back really soon. Maybe that's the reason , but it's the first time that her parents did this . Failed to understand her and she couldn't take it easily .

C- I called to wish and tum direction hi change kar diya .

A- not a while ago you treated me like some terrorist and now don't act sweet behna.

She twisted her lips ,complaining. There was a long silence after that. Annika had to shake her phone to find whether it captured signal or not .

A- charu 

C- I'm sorry ...for everything.

A- enough , shout like some idiot first and then come running with sorry . I'm going to hang up .

C - hey hey annika one second.

A- kya!

C- shivaay asked not to tell this but , I think you should know . Is he close ?

Annika was confused , she looked around to spot him standing afar.

A - nahi .

C- he came here sometime back ,

A- what ?

His anger , his guilt , they way he stood by and defended  his wife throughout,  she revealed everything.  As charu's words entered her ears ,she slowly turned to look at him . He pretended to watch away  the other side .

A- sach ?

C- why would I lie ? Having me to understand her , this is what he said at last . Only then I realized how stupid I was and I didn't want to hide this stupidity from you with his help. Isliye sab bol rahi hoon ab .

Annika smiled when she completed.

A- tum ho stupid but honest bi ho . Maybe that's why I couldn't get angry on you easily you know . Acha tell me , how are you feeling now ?

C- better .

A- that I know,  you've got the power to start a new fight in no time so bye haan I want to speak with my Prince .

C- annika don't tell him that I

A- haan teek hai , and tum, press a warm towel on your hand , dard nahi hoga aur haan  burry the tablet in a chocolate and have it on time . Don't sit and cry for it , worrying papa ok , bye !

She hung up and jogged towards shivaay immediately. Her heart was filled with some kind of extremely good feel , she had no name for it . When she came near to speak  , pinky who just came out of the ward interrupted her .

P- shivaay only two visitors can be  here it seems .

S- ugh let Om and ...

P- yeah actually gauri's parents will be here in sometime . Let them and Om be here , tomorrow we'll come back . That'll be ok, right annika ?

On getting no response from her side both looked at her . Annika remained still, with her eyes wandering on shivaay who himslef was actually confused.  He shook her lightly.

S- annika

A- haa haan yes aunty , me and shivaay we'll be here you're right.

Pinky looked baffled while shivaay chuckled saying something.

S- I guess you need an ENT doctor now.

Annika narrowed her eyes at him and went inside with pinky.

A- nahi meri maa , gauri had her labour pain suddenly.  I'm telling the truth eli ! As if you'd come running go make it to all the rides , a small cup and saucer drives you nauseatic and I had to return back in wet clothes everytime. Thank god my saree is spared this time . Acha ok , next week I promise, done ?

Shivaay kept smiling on hearing all this . Annika really has got some weird flashbacks with her group .She sighed hanging up and they were already infront of OM . Half an hour , literally half and hour it took to convince her angry friend who had made  big plans for the day which all went in vain at last . Ofcourse her anger was justified.

She was welcomed by oreo in no time when she entered the room . He bit her pleat within his teeth and barked continuously making her angry .

A- oreo chod ! Mera saadi hai not your cookie , oreo !

She then slowly  followed his gaze and looked up to find the sudden source of light in the room. A look of amazed surrounded her pupils . Her lips had this smile immediately after witnessing something beautiful. A big round shaped tank gripped the centre wall ceiling  having a number of pisces species within. The blue light from it shone to make some waves of the same colour in that dark room . It was quite the sight which pleased her much. 

S- like it ?

She heard his voice from behind turned at once .

A- how how did you know I liked  I mean fi

S- you have changed three mobiles since our marriage but the the lock screen picture remains constant everytime. You took it in some aquarium and I've seen a big frame of the same picture in your room too. I was not sure but I just guessed you might have an interest in this . Aur I had customised this room according to my taste when we built our home, but I wanted to feel something of you in here . I tried .

He shrugged his shoulders casually as if he did nothing but she was out of words by now . Indeed he was right , all her family trips had this mandatory aquarium visit . Even she was unaware of why she liked it but , there was some kind of ease which touches her while being in company with these species . And she loved them .

A- your I love you doesn't contain three words man .

Shivaay didn't get her properly .

S- pasand...nahi aayi ?

She sighed huge and rolled her eyes .

A- budhu!

S- haan ? You said something?

She shook her head lightly and took slow steps towards him .

Wounding her arms around his body , she hugged him , pressing her head on his chest just above his heart and smiled.
And he took a few seconds to contribute .

A- I feel defeated , but , but thanks for that.

He understood nothing but she exactly knew what she meant . Her love for him was something she was always proud of , but the way he expressed things , didn't leave her pride stand good . He didn't need words , he didn't need things , he didn't need dramatic circumstances. He always had a simple way . Because his love was all about the way he noticed her , put efforts for her , understood and supported her even when none does . His kind of love made her feel defeated .

S- annika , I'm sorry I kept fight with you this whole time . I shouldn't ha

A- I'm sorry too  !

He couldn't complete as she placed a sudden kiss on his cheeks and ran to climb on the bed . She jumped up to hit her finger on the glass just where a fish hits by , she kept playing.

Everytime she'd raise her arm up above , her white skin remained revealed and he couldn't take a breath in that environment comfortably. It was as if she contained the spotlight all on herself.  Because the dark room had only the reflection of  light from the tank .

S- you look gorgeous annika .

These words escaped his lips without him realizing it even did. She stopped doing what she did and looked at him . He looked serious ,  his eyes reflected a craze and she already surrendered her in them .

She didn't know why but she lent her hand upto him and stepped down for he pulled her against him immediately. Volunteering to be the first one , she palmed his cheek and kissed his forehead hard. 

As his palms played to draw scribbled patterns on her waist , she lost herself . Annika gulped making slight moves of nerves in her closed eyes while he traced his lips on her arm from wrist to elbow and elbow to shoulder placing numerous kisses every now and then . And when he had reached her shoulder , he pushed the plait back and grazed his nose on every inch of skin she possessed there .

S- I love you .

She smiled when he whispered this . Soon he muzzled her neck and started conquering regions of her . His wet lips and sharp nose kept marking spots on her  while she completely shivered on his approach.

A- shivaay shi v a

Her moans couldn't travel her lips with a good note of sound as she was falling arrested in his touch. She liked having this desire , to be captivated by him .

Shivaay had already removed the pin which kept the saree clasped with blouse . Annika breathed as fast as she could have ever done . The moment grew wild with heat which she found difficult to handle, nervousness filled her from all sides .  And suddenly  pushed him away when his hand surrounded to squeeze the flesh in her stomach. She forced him away .

He fell to sit on the bed while she behaved  shocked. Shivaay looked here and there sparing no glance at her . She crushed her eyes ,palming her head.

A- shivaay , I'm sorry . I didn't

S- nahi mein I'm sorry , we ...ham we can wait if ,if you're not re ready . Sorry annika.

A- no shivaay , shivaay it's not , shivaay !

He walked out really fast saying this and she cursed herself for acting stupid.
