Annika smiled confusedly on watching his strong gaze on her . She pretended to press a button on his wrist and blinked once.

A- hola ! we're back to present.

He smiled shaking his head when she did that.

A- so , liked it ?

S- like ?? mein tho

His mobile ringtone made him stop his words till that , he attended the call .

S- hmm , yeah. Is the soft copy enough ? Ok then , I'll be there .

A- don't tell me you're leaving now ?

She showed a grumpy face and he just pressed his lips ,passing a nod .

S- it's just a small meeting , I'll be back soon haan ?

A- shivaay do you even see that clock ? It's 7.30 pm already , who on earth would plan meetings at night man ?!

S- you're reacting as if 7.30 is actually some late midnight of the day . Oh I'm sorry , I just forgot meri wife ke liye tho sun gaya tho night and neendh agaya . Even if it's 6 o clock , you would label it as night only. Haina ?!

He popped his brows and touched her chin with his fingers while she folded her arms close to her chest .

A- that wasn't the topic !

Shivaay grinned watching her cute reaction .

Speak about her sleep , she gets offended.

S- acha teek haina , I'll be back soon. Hmm ?

A- hmm .

She took a few seconds to respond , while he packed his laptop inside the bag and left the room to only barge in back again .

A- what happened ?

Her eyes bloomed to big when he silently hugged and planted a light kiss on her forehead , muttering a thanks.

S - you really made me so happy , thank you ! ...and don't wait for me , have dinner and go to bed .

Stating this  he walked away for she smiled at his retreating figure .

Life with him is certainly beautiful that she couldn't just explain it with words . She never thought that this strict business man would have a light side too . These days one thing which always keeps her in wonder, is his care . He remains everything she would demand for , and that's how she fell more in love with him .

Ad - charu , how many babies shall we have ?

She smacked his head immediately .

C- we have our marriage in pending first ! First concentrate on that.

Ad - ohh sorry sorry , I've come from London right so I just didn't know these , I mean

Charu narrowed her eyes and caught his ear within her fingers .

C- don't try to act too smart Adi. Before marriage , nothing doing ! Understood ?

Ad- ahhh! ahhh yeah yeah , understood!

C- good .

She walked past him when he soon caught hold of her wrist and made her halt .

Ad - even I'm an Indian baby , muje pata hai sab . I was just testing you actually you know , if whether  you had any ideas

C- Adi dog !!

Her hands instantly reached upto him and she started to beat him like hell while all the time he just kept laughing .

At one point she felt arrested on feeling his arms tightening around her waist, she still kept punching his chest though . Only when he pressed his hold , she had no option rather to lean fully on him and throw her arms around his neck . He smirked when she did that .

Ad - sare conditions are accepted, but ek love sealing kiss tho banta haina ?

She couldn't hold that stern face after when he winked and showed that charming smile of his . She just blushed and looked down for he lifted her chin immediately. Both felt themselves drowning into each other's eyes , as they shared a so beautiful eyelock then. Soon , before even they could know , their lips got attached .He made her realise how much he had yearned for her , yearned for her love all these days . And all she did was , assure , assure him that only he can be her solace anytime .

When both pulled back to breathe, she didn't wait but dropped a few kisses all over his face , making him flutter .

After all these days , a blissful joy surrounded them both for they stood by and enjoyed watching the sea waves , hand in hand .

Shivaay clutched the handle which took no name to open, it seemed to be locked from inside .

He sighed and picked his phone to dial for her .

' no way !! '

His mind shouted after when he heard her entire caller tune ring and go down with no answer.

Sweat beads captured his forehead and he gulped down thinking of the horror , she . is . asleep ...?!

Passing prayers to the almighty, he called once again and kept pressing the calling bell .

Catastrophe. No response at all .

Knowing very well that his wife would have no ears when asleep , he didn't try after that. He checked the time.

9. 45 , it showed .

S - itni jaldi so gayi ?! Kya karoon mein ab ,

He muttered to himslef and sat on a bench near the garden. He could only laugh at his fate .

The mobile flashed to grab his attention . He let a weak smile noticing the caller id , he hardly expected annika's name but still he thought god would show some mercy but ...

S- hello mom .

P- shivaay , muje teri bahut yaad aarahi thi beta that's why I called you. Vaise ,what are you doing ? I hope you aren't engaged with your laptop everytime, mein bi vahan nahi , who will control you then ? Kaam ke saath aaram bi karna hai . Teek hai ?

There was a light grin on his face . Miles away but still , she can somewhere sense his trouble . He knew .

Mothers ...!

S- ok mom .

P- and annika , how's she ? Are you taking good care of her ?

S- mom , I think you're asking the opposite. Is she taking care of me? ask that first !

P- why would I ask when I know the answer myself, ofcourse she will be doing that !

He rolled his eyes .

S- very well mom , absolutely! She's keeping me  nourished  you know ?!

His tone of sarcasm said it all , but pinky failed to grasp it .

P- pata hai muje . Ok now , it's time already . Go to bed .

S- aaj go to bed nahi go to bench hai ,

He muttered in a trance and she was confused.

P- what ?

S- vo...nothing mom , nothing. Good night .

P- good night shivaay .

Shivaay wanted to check whether atleast he had a 0.0001 % of anything called luck , he dialled for her once again .

Nothing called luck but everything called fate is what he should embrace with himslef for tonight . She didn't pick up .

He exhaled deeply and leaned on the bench after covering his coat on himself. Thanks to the cold weather and these mosquitoes, it's going to be a long night for him .

She sat up and yawned awide , stretching her arm up high .

The clock striked at 8. She looked beside to find his side empty.

A- pata nahi , how only he manages to wake up so early !

Muttering to herself , she made her way into the restroom for refreshments.

After fighting with cold and those brutal insects, only now shivaay managed to get some sleep which was soon disturbed by someone's voice.

' Sir , aap yahan ? What happened sir ? '

The security who just came with milk and news paper looked baffled on finding shivaay lying there.

Shivaay opened his drowsy eyes and tried sitting up .

S- vo annika has locked ...the door from inside , so I couldn't...

' arey , you could have atleast told me ya you could have used my room ! Par aise '

S- it's ok , chodiye .

' mein mam ko bulalethi hoon'

S- nahi , teek hai . I have called her already, she coming.

Shivaay didn't want him to suffer by the door for a long time like what he had gone through yesterday.

' teek hai sir '

He went .

Shivaay leant his head back on the rest and closed his eyes again .

On not finding him anywhere inside the house, annika went confused.

She dialled for him immediately.

S- finally , hel... hello

He trailed the word and yawned .

A- shivaay where are you? Itne subah kahan gayi tum , without even telling me ? ...Wait a minute, did you just not return back yesterday? Shivaay work is necessary , but aise kaun kartha hai...! Even Mr. Ambani won't ever do such things you know , par tum tho

S- annika , no worries . Keep your talks going on and just come to the balcony for a second please .

A- kyun ? What's there ? Don't try to divert me shivaay! I'm really angry on you .

S - yes anni , you have all the rights for that but just come to balcony once , for my sake .

He spoke in a very calm tone and she walked to balcony , agreeing to him.

S - hi annika !

She frowned on noticing him there , seated on a bench near the garden area .

A- shivaay what are you doing here ? And look at you still clothed in suits , I have told you to use casuals when at home right ?

Shivaay whined like a kid , mentally . Still , his dear wife has no idea of what actually even happened. Look at the typical her going on with her complaints .

S- annika , my wife ! I'm here because you had locked the door yesterday and that got stuck  outside !! You realize ? I'm here sitting on this shaky bench since last night.

His spoke every word in calm and clear. Annika would have almost dropped her phone if not she had tightened the grip in the last second . Her eyes grew wide and immediately shrinked on realising what blunder she had committed.

A- oh my god ! I'm really sorry shivaay . I don't know how I forgot , I ...was awake actually, but I don't know how I slept . You could have called me right ?

Though he was sitting there a little far off her sight , she did notice that faint grin on his face .

S- yes annika , mein tho bool hi gaya .

A- have some seriousness shivaay , wait I'll come .

She hung up and ran to unlock the door while he stood up , grabbing his quilt , sorry his coat.

A- tum teek ho ?

She asked and encircled her arm with his as they both walked inside the house .

S- pehle check the missed calls in your mobile.

He replied and sat  on the couch while she looked terrified on finding those notifications.

A- I'm sorry I didn't...notice

She spoke and bit her lips when he smiled for no reason.

S- sorry kisliye , for not noticing it now or for not hearing it last night when I had actually called ?

A- shivaay !

Came her whine .

S- calling bell bi bajaya meine .

She had a defeated reaction on her face but soon something striked her mind and she started working on her phone .

He frowned .

S- ab kya kar rahi ho ?

A- nahi shivaay ,  this kaun tuje song is so melodious and slow for a ringtone. Let me find some peppy beat for you , haan ?!

Shivaay didn't know whether to cry or laugh for this . How effortlessly her mind switches to things!!

S - I used to scold mom you know, for staying awake and waiting for me . But now I realize her value. Sorry mom! Aur vaise bi , don't wait for me kya boldiya meine tum tho directly so gayi .

A- shivaay , you can't expect me to be a typical wife . Like , wait for you without eating anything , sacrificing sleep and all is not my thing . You know about me right?

S- how can you be so

A- cute ? I know !

S- I was going to tell spontaneous, you have answers for anything and everything. Koi tumhe hara nahi saktha .

A- well that's a good compliment too , thank you . Teek hai , shivaay ye kaisi lagi ?

' badtameez dil badtaneez dil ...'

She popped her brows and smiled . Shivaay let weak chuckle.

S- I think instead of trying songs , tumhe ...haan maybe those loud ones like, what about the sound of bomb blasts ? Nahi , I doubt on  that too ...hmm

Annika glared at him when he acted to think of something else .

A- shivaay !! Don't make fun of me , hogaya na galthi . I'm sorry .

S- ok ok , it's fine . I forgot it, done? Vaise , I should have seen this coming though.

A- matlab ?

S- what else can I expect from the girl who kept her husband locked inside the restroom for like...what , an hour ? yeah ! And that too on the very first day of our wedding.

He giggled stating this while she was totally surprised . Indeed , she really is unbelievable. Her list of adventures were certainly , crazy .

A - chod na , vo bi tho galthi se huwa . Ab kyun list bana rahi ho ?

S- hmm, ye sab tho teek hai . But why did you even lock the door at first place?

A- what sort of question is this shivaay? Even a new born baby would answer this , arey it's a new place for us ...we don't know anyone here so we have to be very careful na .What if some thief strikes in ?!

S- wah wah ! My dear wifey , all those safety measures  will be taken care by the security  , you don't have to worry at all.

A- all this would have never happened if you hadn't gone for work at that time .

Annika spoke this and kept her inner cheeks bitten to hold her smile . The word wifey from him seemed ecstatic for her .

S- lo , so I am at fault now ?

A- shivaay I think you should get some sleep now , we'll continue this later . What do you say?

S- agreed ! but before that let me prepare something for you , breakfast.

Saying this he stood up and made a step forward when she immediately caught hold of his hand to stop him .

A- don't be so sweet please . Just go...go and sleep , I'll manage . Sandwich ya kuch karloongi mein .

S- pakka ?

A- hmm .

She made him lie on the bed and covered the duvet over him .

Just when she was about to go , she felt her wrist clasped by his grip and looked back at him .

He signalled her to come close and she obeyed .

S- don't change the ringtone .

She smiled when he whispered this and hit his forehead on her's slightly.

A- then what if this adventure repeats , You want to suffer again?

He blinked and removed her hair strand which got inbetween her lips when she spoke .

S- we'll shift that bomb blast idea to the calling bell , so don't change your ringtone . Hmm ?

Annika just passed a wide grin after when he mentioned this and winked at her .

I always thought I was hard to love until you made it easy for me 💘
