After the function, annika was returning home with her family .

Charu seemed a bit disturbed, some thoughts didn't leave her in peace that she had her mind grounded with confusions . Of...? Of course she knew whatever she had done ,was absolutely disgusting. Then ,why did she do that ?

She was entirely captivated with the negative thoughts which had made her let down her own sister. It wouldn't have happened if annika had maintained distance with shivaay, she tried convincing herself . This was needed , she obliged .

She was totally engrossed in her thoughts and failed to notice her hand which was half way outside the car window,if not annika had helped at the right moment ,she would have been badly hurt by the truck which passed just a few inches away from hitting her hand.

A- are you mad charu ? Where are you lost ? Stupid ! If I hadn't noticed, pata hai...

She scolded with atmost anger ,while charu looked muted. She watched annika to have been checking her hands for any wound , she couldn't ponder through her thoughts which were all ready to kill her today. She wasn't a person who would do that , then why ? Sometimes things just turn way too around that we couldn't comprehend in justifying it .Suddenly she didn't like herself for what she had done. Her eyes were thoroughly stuck on annika , with her subconscious mind voicing something loud "you did wrong !" .

Annika never deserved this , she had committed something which couldn't be justified anyway because she knew that annika would never do that even in situations of extremities . She knew her sister who loves her alot ,who cares for her ,who stands by her in every difficulties . But ...what has she done to her?

Pricking sensations grew more in her ,annika who was all engrossed in her favourite song being played in FM noticed her sister's pale expressions which had no sign of good. She took a chocolate from her bag and passed it to her, who wouldn't have ideas of denying it . She knows charu well!

A- what happened charu ? Feeling bad for something?

She asked casually while biting half the bar from the milk chocolate to which charu frowned and annika plastered a sheepish smile in return . This little exchange of faces was like the usual banter which would evolve every now and then between a minute . Sisters!

C- mood off!

She replied ,

A- you're regretting something?

She asked narrowing her eyes ,bringing a bold hit in charu's head , my sister is a master in reading minds ! She nodded, agreeing .

A- it's ok girl ,chod na ? Is it something really big and ...a kind of great sin type or what ?

She smiled and shook her head while charu looked down again mentioning that it was actually that serious. Annika continued nudging her shoulders insisting her to respond. Charu looked at her for a second ,before speaking .

C- I ...I'm sorry annika ,

She apologized with a guilty face and looked away soon ,

A- sorry kyun?

She asked suspiciously,

C- I had spoken ill about you .

She answered and raised her head with fear to notice annika reacting too normal and good.

A- bas yahi tha? Chodo, it's common between sisters you know . As if you hadn't done it before ? Even I had badmouthed about you many times,recently...it was when you stole my favourite ice cream and finished it all by yourself .Mein maa se bol rahi thi ki ,you are one big fat pig ! Greedy pig!! Chodo , it happens. By the way what were the legendary words which you had used for me and haan kisse bola tha tu?

Charu was totally bewildered , is she even real? Her sister is definitely one of a kind and that kind can never be entirely discovered anyday.

C- shivaay se,

Her face denoted her guilt, which was noticed by annika .

The moment she heard his name ,all her mind was surrounded in one shot - what has charu told him ? Something worse ? He believed her ? God! She's a person who give no damn to what people think about her ,but wait ...he is certainly not some third person . Her only prince !

A- why did you do that charu? God!...

She stretched her words and palmed her face ,

C- I don't like it when you speak with him ,isliye ...

She replied with a stern voice as if she had gained a sort of confidence which did seem to show up all this time. Annika understood what she meant.

A- just tell me one thing ,meri image poori damage?

She asked with a serious face and all charu could do was to let out a small chuckle, this innocent sissy of her's! Annika insisted her to answer to which she nodded slightly.

" Gone ! and here comes an end to my fairytale "

Annika heard her own mind voice,

C- Sorry annika....I ...I can't even tell the truth to him ,then vo meri baare mei kya sochega.

Annika passed an angry glare on her before speaking,

A- charu ,you're one shameless selfish dog !

Saying this she started pinching her hard ,while charu hissed loud in pain . Their mother who was seated in the passenger seat saw this ,

Meena- annika...charu, you both have started again? Annika chod usse,

A- maa ,be quite . You know nothing,

She complained and continued pinching her ,

C- annika ,ahh! Ahh annika !!!

She stood staring the moon silently .Misunderstanding is one crucial weapon which could tear things apart and she knew this very well. Immersed in her thoughts ,she failed to notice oreo who was barking at her since past few minutes. Only when it came round her legs she looked down feeling his tail hitting her.

She scooped him in her arms and held him close to her chest .

A- what do you think oreo ? Sab katam?

She asked with a cute grumpy reaction while oreo started licking her face already making her pout.

A- chalo ,whatever it is ...we'll manage it !

The next day ,

A- haan eli, what's the name? Grand star hotel haina? Yeah ,I've reached . I'll be there in a few minutes. Bye!

She hung up, it was Elizabeth's treat today . Bachelorette party was left back so they thought of celebrating now , post- marriage hangouts !

With having a conference meeting in that same hotel ,shivaay had come there too.

S- excuse me ,I've come to attend the national conference. Get me the details plss ,

He asked the receptionist,she checked with the records.

" you will have to go to the 3rd floor sir "

He nodded in response and turned back to immediately watch someone behind, with a huge surprise .

The minute his image covered her pupils ,her face was stretched with a smile .He really has something special , had she ever gone this much mad for a man ? A big nope! The very sudden sight of him ,and she feels butterflies roaming through each part of her body. She belonged to her own lala land for a couple of moments .

But soon she noticed him to have been looking at her with nil reaction, everything hit her mind . He ...he might've gone into charu's statement about her . He must have believed charu, obvious ...isn't it? Charu is his long time friend but annika ?ohh come on,he merely knows her.

She decided not to initiate a conversation until he does . She doesn't want to know what charu had said to him ,but if he had really understood her ,he would approach her without any hesitation . If not ... their bond would be provided with a weak foundation which wasn't a good sign . Understanding and trusting the other are like pillars which play the entire role in holding a relationship up high great . God, he must talk to me first ! She prayed,

But to her disappointment, he moved past her silently . Her face fell gloomy . Only if she knew what he was going through within . True that he's a judgemental person, but somewhere deep inside he was fighting to give a chance to the opinion of his heart which was entirely on her side .

She was so much into her thoughts when someone banged with her in a hurry of going somewhere.

A- ouch !

She bent down ,taking her bag . Shivaay turned hearing her voice .

" sorry ,I'm really sorry"

She saw the man tracing his palms on the ground in search of his things ,he was wearing black glasses.

A- no ,no it's ok . You're fine right ?

She helped him take his things.

" yeah ,I'm ok . If you don't mind, can you help me reach the parking area. Actually my friend is waiting there "

He requested ,she thought for a moment before agreeing.

She caught hold of his hand and helped him further,

Some uneasiness surrounded shivaay's mind watching this . He shrugged off and was about to enter the lift when he found another man signalling someone, showing thumbs up . He turned back to watch the man with annika responding with a smirky smile to that person.

The man traversed his eyes on annika ,before he swung his hand around back, towards her waist.

The next second he landed on the floor as someone had punched him hard on his face . Annika was shocked on looking at shivaay who stood there with a grudge filled facade .

A- shivaay, what have you done ? Why did you beat him ? He is blind,

She insisted and bent to help him up when shivaay instantly caught her hand and pulled her by his side .

S- chup !

He roared ,ordering her and again started beating the man to pulp .

A- shivaay , what are you doing ?

She tried holding him ,but he had already jolted off.

S- you mad girl,he isn't blind . He's playing around ,

Pushing him on the ground ,he took a paper wait and threw it towards him . With it being just inches away, the man immediately moved away saving his head from being cracked apart . Annika was shocked watching this ,

S- see , he isn't blind annika . He was just fooling you for ...

He couldn't attach the further words ,which brought a hell of anger in him . He crushed closing his eyes and fisted his hands .He couldn't even think of that ,Annika understood everything, she stood still.

He was about to beat him again,when the security guards stopped him .

" Sir ,we'll handle this . Aap jaayiye "

Shivaay had no idea of leaving him now ,he shook his head and moved towards the man when the guards insisted him not to .

Both the men were arrested by the cops .

S- dekha? How can you be so foolish annika ? Tum innocent nahi ,fool ho ...pagal ho !

He shouted at her ,and she stood silent . Her gaze didn't leave the ground ,she hated herself for being such an idiot that people have started using her . For the first time ,she blamed her own character . Helping is good ,but in today's world ...it is hardly appreciative.

He didn't feel good watching her to have been remaining a statue . He wanted her to tell something ,to argue with him . That's what he had got used with when she's around ,this silent atmosphere with her was something too hard  for him to handle .

His top notched anger was like a volcanic lava ,erupting huge . Why did he react like that today? Where did all those raging nerves come from? What was that feeling which bursted when he saw the man's dirty hands approaching her ?

She was actually bringing exclusive changes in him which he himself was exploring through time,but currently he wasn't keen in trying to understand those budding changes because it was entirely she who has caught his attention now.

He lowered ,grounding his sight to capture her eyes. They seemed weak , just weak to posses any reactive source in them . He looked away immediately as he wasn't able to see her like this . Some pain was being built within him from the moment he witnessed her dull face . Wasn't she supposed to push him with a good fight? Why is she ...?

At the same time ,she got a call from her friend.

A- haan eli, 6th floor? Ok ,I'm coming .

She hung up ,and looked at him with the same gloomy eyes which had the full force to bring some sort of an unknown pain in him .

She gulped before muttering,

A- thank you ,

Without waiting for a second ,she moved from there and entered the elevator .

He couldn't take this , she has to speak something .

The lift door was about to close ,when she found his hands crossing between the sliding door halting it . He came in ,

He watched her staring at nothing in particular, he wanted her to speak up .Desperately! Indeed, what happens when usualities remain hard to work usually? It disturbs right? That's what he was feeling now , he was disturbed with her silence .

After waiting for a long time, he opted to initiate, but...

A- you are right shivaay , I'm mad ! I'm a fool . Within few seconds ,he had acted so well that I could never doubt even . How causally he had used me ...haina? If only you hadn't come .....(she blinked hard) I couldn't even take care of myself.

She planted a weak smile and shook her head, while he looked at her keenly . She was hurt ,and he could easily guess it through her eyes . Maybe he could read her eyes .He felt some pain within too...what was that for ?

The door opened at the 3rd floor, he should've moved out but he didn't want to. She looked all lost and plain ,he wanted to be with her . The elevator moved up further,

He was about to say something when suddenly the lights blinked continuously and went off soon .

Both were baffled noticing this when suddenly the elevator started rushing down with a full bang force. Both could feel the lift dreading down fastly, as they found it too difficult to hold on ,standing .

Each stood at the extreme corners holding onto the bars for support. The elevator was descending from the 5th floor in full speed .

S- annika, hold onto something tight .

She nodded ,and  saw him struggling to balance, he was about to bang on the iron bar when she had already palmed his cheecks paving an obstacle for the bar to reach his face .

Feeling her smooth chill palm on his skin he looked upto her , her eyes watched him with some atmost care ...concern and ...?

This sight of her's served a kind of drug for him , an addiction!

A prolonging eyelock followed back ,with both leaving no way rather just falling deep into the other through eyes .

Love is our true destiny. We do not find the meaning of life by ourselves alone ,we find it with another 💘
