She threw the file on the table and sat on the chair in hurry . What just happened was totally unexpected and her mind was literally making it worse by playing the scene again and again for her . Dhruv hadn't prolonged the conversation thinking that might make her uncomfortable and she made use of it to silently escape from the scene with just some usual exchange of words . Though nothing happened this day , annika was really scared for the upcoming days .

She looked so stressed that nothing could catch her concentration rather this problem now . That's when she heard a knock on the door .

A - yeah,  come in .

'Hello doctor,  I'm Sunitha '

A - sunitha...yeah , Dr.Reena spoke about you . Please sit. How are you feeling now ?

' I'm able to sleep with the help of tablets,  that's the progression '

Annika noticed her tough smile .

A - well, sunitha I do know your problem . You've been married for more than 7 years but still , you didn't I mean you're not a parent still . So your in laws are pressuring and taunting you everyday,  that's the reason for your depression right ?

Sunitha just plainly let a nod before speaking.

' Initially , I was able to handle it.  I never took it seriously but now , when they ...it's like everytime! And I'm a homemaker , so it makes  things even more tough for me . '

Annika was lost in her thoughts when sunitha spoke her part emotionally. 

A- umm, your husband , what about him? Does he know your problem ?

' he's very caring doctor . Infact he had even accompanied me during my last session , he always supports me . '

A - sunitha ,  is there any  chance that he can request for a transfer or something in his work ?

'Maybe '

A - simple then , trust your husband. Ask him to get a transfer and move out from your house .

Sunitha looked shocked .

' doctor...'

A - sunitha , for once try to be selfish . Your BP condition , sleeping hours and everything else is  fluctuating,  it might  really go worse if you keep prolonging this . I never advise my patients to rely on tablets for anything  . I would rather  recommend you to rely on your husband.  You yourself said that he cares for you , so let him see to things . He has to give a peaceful atmosphere for you .

Annika interrupted her immediately.

A- that's why I spoke about the transfer,  convince them with it like it's the only option .  See sunitha , I can clearly see how you are dependent on them . Don't be . It's not my place to say this,  but,  when they are ready to hurt you everyday, I think you can atleast be ready to ignore them.

Sunitha thought for a few seconds and blinked agreeing to what annika said .

'and , what about the medications doctor ?'

Annika smiled and shook her head .

A - don't you feel tired and drowsy all the time ?

' I do '

A - that's why I'm not going to prescribe anything . Try doing what I said  and I'm sure you'll see some changes . If there's any problem in between , please feel free to call me .

' ok Dr , thank you so much '

She was about to leave when annika stopped her .

A  - hmm ...sunitha , I just wanted to ask you something.  It's personal ,so be frank if you don't want to answer .

Annika looked a bit hesitant while sunitha just stayed quiet.

A - are you undergoing any treatment for ...I mean consulting any gynecologist currently ?

' yes doctor , it's been a year since I had started going through treatments but '

Annika sensed her discomfort and immediately reacted .

A - I'm sorry , I shouldn't have asked .

'It's ok doctor '

Her sight was still fixed by the doorway through which sunitha just left . Annika's tension grew more after coming across such circumstances . The big trouble was , even she herself couldn't know whether she is doing right or not . For the first time in her life , a  dilemma stayed in her mind throughout  and she could think of no solution for it . Because  she knew it's  close to impossible to convince elders about this . Their thoughts and the values  that people  of that generation carry is really difficult to be proven wrong .

She felt weak , really weak this time .

Ad - charu no , don't eat this . Bahut spicy hai ye .

Charu was totally pissed off when he repeated the same thing for what , nth time ?

C - come on Adi , goglappa meri favourite hai . You know right ! I don't know why your being so different suddenly.

Saying this she  continued savouring her snack while Adi looked really worried .

Before he could complete she had already pulled his cheeks .

C- awww ! I'm sorry I scared you that day . But don't worry Adi , it happens sometimes . Nothing serious .

He was trembling from within holding the pain and she did find his scared reaction .

C - hey , Adi dog ! Relax , if you keep staring me like this I'll...ok fine enough for today hmm? Show me some smile now .

She kept the plate back .  Adi tried his best  to behave normal but he couldn't. She then pulled his cheeks from either sides to make him smile for  he immediately snaked her waist to hug her tightly. Charu seemed surprised of his sudden action but she automatically coiled her arms around his shoulders and leaned on him .

C - I don't know how only you managed to stay away from me for five years ! Such a kid you are Adi .

Adi closed his eyes tightly to withhold those tears inside  while she spoke cheerfully. He had no idea of what was going to happen in future , but he did know one thing .

Whatever it is , he's going to stand with her till end .

Annika stared confusedly on finding the living room empty when she came back . That's when she noticed Rudra coming out of his room .

A - hey Rudy , where are the others? I see none.

R - yes bhabi,  mom , dad and chotepapa have left to attend some function . Om and bhabi are ...maybe in their room .

A - ohh ...par , bahut lonely lag raha haina ? Ghar pe koi ,

R - hmm! I know why you're feeling that way .

Rudra interrupted and teased her with his sheepish smile for she looked away and chuckled guessing what he just meant.

A - vo tho hai ...I,  I'll do one thing . Let me prepare dinner for today , if I'm engaged with something I'll feel better. 

R- par bhabi,  aapko cooking

A - don't worry Rudra , you won't starve tonight .

She spoke with full enthusiasm while he showed a thumbs up in return.

R - bhabi , you have call !

A -kaun ?

Annika shouted as she was already frustrated with this task of mixing  flour which took no name to fall right. On top of that  her dress and hair looked already spoiled with it over .

R - hmm...it doesn't look like a name . Seems like some Prince from the ancient times has time travelled to call you .

Her eyes grew wide as soon as she heard him . She leapt to grab the mobile from him , but pulled back as her hands were covered with flour .

A - speaker speaker!

Rudra obeyed and put the speaker on but his mischievous mind suddenly asked him  to do something . And so , before she could even speak , he started.

R - hello who's this ?

He mimicked to make some other man's voice.  Annika shook her head continuously but he just asked her to stay quiet for sometime. On the other side , shivaay was entirely confused.

S - hello , who are you !

R - are you mad ? You called me first  but you don't even know to whom you dialled for ?

S - what the hell ? The mobile your using is my wife's .

Rudra giggled silently on hearing shivaay's frustrated voice while annika signalled him to stop .

R - ohh you must be Dr annika's husband .

S - who are you ?

R - I,  I'm her colleague Arvind. We came out for dinner , and she just went somewhere near . She'll be back .

Annika could literally feel shivaay's burning face  from the other side . She immediately pulled the mobile from Rudra and balanced it between her ear and shoulder.

A - shivaay .

S - annika , get up and leave immediately.  Go home now !

Rudra laughed out on hearing this for annika glared at him before putting the speaker off .

A - no shivaay

S - I don't want to hear anything.  Just go home .

A - mad prince hear me once . I'm  already at home , yahan se kiska home jaun mein ? Gusse mei patha nahi   rapper ban jathe ho,  never listen to anyone just go on with the words !

S - what ? But I just heard someone else's voice.

A - I'm sure your friends would have easily pranked you many times during  school and college times , haina   The Great Shivaay Singh Oberoi ? Your sane mind  goes to a cemetery in Antarctica when anger comes over . 

Shivaay rolled his eyes around and sighed deeply .

S - prank ?

A - it was Rudra .

S - punch him on my behalf please .

A- I can't chase him now , I have to prepare food . I'll remember to avenge you later .

S - food...cooking !?

A- why this tone of surprise ? Arey , all the elders have gone somewhere , who will take care of the kids at home then?

S - I didn't know we made kids already.

A - shivaay !

She squealed and grinned widely when he teased her like that .

Suddenly she saw oreo running all the way till her . He started roaming around her legs and continued barking.

A - what happened to you now ? Deko oreo,  I'm not in the mood of playing now . Go back , mein aathi hoon .

But oreo didn't stop . She was already covered with flour , then she has to balance the mobile to her shoulder and now this . It was frustrating for her .

A - you  cheated on me by wanting to go with shivaay haina? . I'm already angry on you for that , don't make me more angry now .

Shivaay who heard all this , just kept smiling throughout.

S - annika , I think he's hungry . It's time for his dinner.

A - ohh this is it ? Boldethi na ore...sss sorry sorry come with me.

She washed her hands and went to their room for Oreo followed her right behind , wagging his tails .

While annika sat down to fill the container with some food for him, Oreo kept staring at her  quietly.

A - lo , ok now ?

Oreo immediately jumped to lick her face once before eating the food . She smiled and caressed his head softly .

A - seems like he really was so hungry .

S - it's time already,  that's why .

A - you know him really better .

S - It was me who fed him everyday since long you know ? Everything about you , everything around you  has become an habit for me .

Annika bit her lips and blushed .

A - don't come over with dialogues ok  .I'm a psychiatrist ,I know to play with words too .

S - you don't believe me ? fine . Have you washed your face after coming home ?

A - shivaay sach me pagal ho gayi ho tum,  what is this about ? You already know

S - annika don't start  your essay now , just answer my question .

A - yeah , I did .

S - super , look for a wet towel on the bed and not only that,  go and switch off the restroom light first .

Annika immediately bit her tongue on finding everything exactly left like that  as he just said . She quickly got up and switched off the light before leaving the towel on a hanger .

A - no way , you're wrong. 

Shivaay sensed her smirking reaction.

S - ok then, it's been two days but you wouldn't have unpacked your bag and I guess it's just kept inside the cupboard as it is.  Your handbag must be lying somewhere on the floor , and your

She stopped him right there and cringed, because everything what he said was perfectly right .

A - how did you do this ?

S - you roam around the room doing nothing and I keep arranging things for you everytime .

A - you embarrass  me man , mein itni imperfect hoon kya ?

S - hey come on , I didn't tell this to embarrass you . Mein  , I'm happy I know all these . As I said everything about you, everything around you is like a habit for me. So don't think like that , tum kabi imperfect ya galat nahi ho sakthi ho .

Annika's reactions changed as soon as she heard his last sentence .

A - you think I can never be wrong ?

S - ofcourse. 

His confidence made her feel so guilty . She wanted to share everything with him desperately.

S - annika ?

A - haan shivaay I'm here, actually I want to say something to you .

S - whoa! My dear wife is actually asking  permission to talk to me ? I'm thrilled .

A - shivaay...!

S - acha sorry , go on .

Annika took a gulp and looked here and there of not knowing how to start .
