Shivaay woke up feeling his aching neck. He moved his head to find a more comfortable place and opened his eyes  to only find himslef exactly beside her , his head was clearly placed on her shoulder . At once he got up and sat while  she remained silent with a constant smile wandering on her face throughout .

S- I'm sorry , did I hurt you ? You could have woken me up right ?

Running his palms over his drowsy eyes ,he questioned .

A- waking someone who's asleep is a sin !

S- ohh ! Then I've committed that sin a certain times . Mornings when you  used to snooze your alarm  continuously!

He smiled mentioned this and she sighed .

A- you did it for a fine purpose , so that I don't get late for work . So you aren't a sinner .

S- so I'm excepted?

A- ofcourse !

S- sirf mein kyun ?

  A light grin spread on his lips noticing which she just shrugged and replied .

A- aisa hi ! can we stop this questioning session for now because I've got some work for you .

S- kya ?

A- I feel sweaty , pony banana hai . Go find charu for me please .

Rubbing the skin behind her neck she requested him to go immediately when he thought for a second before standing up .

S- shall I try ?

Pointing on himself, he looked at her in keen to know her reaction who in turn nodded instantly.

A- if you can then I don't have any issues , I just want to get rid of this messy feeling .

Taking his position behind her , he inserted his hand beneath her hair to pull very last string of hair and gathered them together while she let a deep sigh feeling some relief then .

She smiled and moved her head along when he twisted and turned his hold on her hair in process of tying it . He was being atmostly gentle, she must admit that. She herself wouldn't have done it like that and thank God ,charu didn't appear to complete this task. Charu would have made her wince so much and  a bunch of hair would have been lying on the ground already if she was here. Rough behna she has got .

But soon she was surprised when she touched her hair which was tied up to a tight bun and not hanging down as a pony .

A- you had a bun pin with you !

She exclaimed . Now it's like 100% relief .

Shivaay nodded as a clear smirk covered his face .

S- yeah , I brought it from home. Thought it might be useful.

A- interesting ! Show me the bag , let's see how much you can score .

S- kaisa score ?

A- bring me the bag , I'll tell you .

He , without giving any further words quietly handled the bag to her.

Indeed , she was impressed . Some sleevless knee lengthed gowns , extra point - the material is light. Just those which she would prefer to wear now . Clips and clutch for hair . Her toothbrush and ...wait ! He has brought her inners too .

A- ye bi tumne khud laya?

She stretched her sentence pointing those inside the bag . He shrugged his shoulders quickly.

S- hmm .

He looked very casual and normal when he said that , she smiled. Lots of changes have occurred within past few months . He no more looked embarrassed in handling those intimate things of her's.

A- ok , you have really done a good job . Brought all the necessary things , and your score is ...80 !

His brows rose up realizing what this score thing is for , but he frowned hearing the number.

S- what happened to the remaining 20 ?

A- I always carry some chocolates and biscuits in my bag wherever I go , but you forgot to bring them .

S- ohh yes your mini stall right ? But I think I compensated it with some healthy fruits . And reduction of 20 marks for this is injustice.

She could do nothing but laugh watching the offended face he made .

A- oi greedy man , I am not going to award any medal if you score maximum in this. Isme topper hokkar kya karne waale ho ! chod na .

Only if she knew that being a topper in this topic would take him to heights of happiness. Indeed , a feel that he can easily understand her to an extent with no exchange of words would make him happy .

That sense of possessiveness had already grown within him .

A- excuse me nurse , are you sure that the management doesn't allow ordered food inside ?

It was the third time she was asking this for which the nurse nodded slowly. Raghav made an unbelievable kind of face hearing his daughter's repeated question . He was actually feeding her with some nice healthy food which Meena had exclusively cooked considering annika's condition and this girl is rooting for those fast food items from swiggy , zomato and whatever it is.

' I'm sorry mam , it isn't allowed '

R- annika chup chap kalo !

Making a strict order he fed the next morsel and she had a not so good reaction while eating that. Well , she doesn't want to degrade her mother's cooking skills but this greens  is something she hates . Even if the world's best chef cooks greens , that would definitely be the last thing she would want to eat .

A - I don't like this policy of your management.

She complained again for which the nurse immediately replied .

' let me tell you one thing first,  just look around  . Does this even look like an hospital ward ? '

As she completed annika looked everywhere. Indeed , it didn't.  Group of people having their lunch while sharing some good time with each other , chatting laughing and what not.  Annika herself  couldn't come to a conclusion whether she was being admitted in an hospital or some public park . Pinky looked the master , she talked , she talked , she kept talking until she would swallow the food and again the next morsel , then she continues the same. Charu looked more happy in the company she had got .

And where is her prince?

There , as expected. Standing in one corner speaking to someone through the mobile . Moreover,  he has to handle things at office when he's away . So his act is acceptable .

A- trust me , I know what you're coming to say. I really pity you now , did the Doctor scold you for this ?

Looking at the nurse in keen  , she questioned  .

' yes , I mean the visitors hour is over . I'm answerable to the management , and on top of that you're asking me whether you can order food from outside ? That really is a bad idea . I'll be in trouble! '

Answered the nurse.

A- ok ok ,I can understand.  You really are in a pitiful condition but you are sweet you know. Even nurses whom I work with doesn't possess this much of patience .Why don't you have lunch with us ?

' no I'm fine,  I bring my own lunch '

A- I know , none would like this dish . Haina !

Passing a disastrous look on the plate which her father held,  she shook her head while Raghav just then succeeded in stuffing another morsel inside her mouth . The nurse just smiled watching this and left .

Meena gave him the plate when shivaay completed his call and sat beside annika .

S- aunty , I'll eat afterwards .

M- arey , time dekrahe ho ? Kaao .

He silently nodded and started eating when pinky complained immediately.

P- oh my mata ! Pehle hi baath mei maan gaya . If it was me , then he would have shown all his tantrums.

M- vo kya haina , every child behaves the same with their mom but with their in - laws,  thoda darthey hain I think . Why ? Annika aise nahi hai kya ?

As soon as she questioned , pinky raised her brows and smiled facing annika .

P- annika ? Mujse darthi? Kyun annika , are you scared of me ?

Annika quickly drank some water and swallowed the content in her mouth . That's a good technique with such boring food .

A- aunty,  I'll be frank . The only thing which I fear the most is those thick snakes from discovery channel and those anacondas in movies and zoos . I literally feel chills when I see them , even if it's just onscreen .I agree that you do look chubby par aap anaconda tho nahi haina ? Then why should I fear !

She shrugged her shoulders explaining this for shivaay shook his head in horror , unbelievable creature on earth is his wife .

P- dekiye , kitna darthi hai mujse .

Noticing pinky's pretending face  Meena just grinned  , ofcourse her daughter was one of a kind and she can easily guess how she must be cracking everyone's head with her talks at her in - law's  .

At the same time annika screamed, noticing something.

A- ek minute !! All the plates except mine contains something else , looks like pulao.  Ye injustice hai papa !

R- if you finish this , then thoda pulao bhi kaa sakthey ho .

Hearing this annika made a sad face , fate is definitely being bad with her.

Exactly then she saw charu hooking her index finger continuously while savouring the pulao happily.  Annika's grumpy face turned to bring a smirk within few seconds . She nudged shivaay's shoulders.

A- shivaay , I can smell so much of ghee from this . I'm sure maa would have emptied  half a tin of ghee in this. So much of calories !! 2 months ki diet ek hi din mei .....boom !

She actioned a blast kind of action with her hand while shivaay already guessed for whom she was actually enacting this . Whoa! Charu's grin had faded long back,  she started chewing slowly and looked  at the food scepticaly.

S- hey , so sad of her yaar .

A- if only your friend hadn't teased me. It's ok , behna ke saath thoda evilness tho banta hai . Now wait for the next stunt , papa .... it seems charu wants to taste this deliciously healthy food !

She announced pointing the food being fed for her and shivaay almost cracked up .

R- ye kaaogi beta ?

Charu just let an innocent nod . Enough of calories,  her mind declared .

And annika looked happy that the remaining in her plate would be emptied by her dear sister when Raghav stared feeding charu .

S- annika , tum na ek

A- alien ?

S- no that word has expired,  it won't suffice . Must think of another word .

Saying this he brought a spoonful of rice till her mouth  and she looked up at him slowly . Insisting to open her mouth , he pushed the spoon even more close when she finally accepted the morsel with a pretty good smile on her face  .

M- I thought annika might have become a little quite with her talks after her marriage,  but no ! I was wrong .

Raghav nodded with a smile and looked  back on the road again.

R - hmm , I'm actually happy.  Tumne deka  , even pinkyji  seemed to be cool with annika's attitude .

C- vo tho hona hi tha papa .

Came charu's voice from behind.

R- aise nahi charu, she had known you for years so I thought you won't have any problem in your sasural , when we had fixed your alliance with shivaay . But after annika's marriage  I had always feared  of how  they would treat her . To be honest , I'm happy . Pinkyji seems to be so fine with my talkative daughter .

He expressed his satisfied heart , for which the other two smiled agreeing.

M - charu , I wanted to ask you something.

C- hmm ?

M- uhh , adi se tumhari baath hui kabi ?

Charu looked perplexed for a few seconds .

C- vo ...nahi kyun ?

M - praniti called me yesterday.  Adi has accepted to go back to states . They'll probably leave by this weekend. 

C- ohh .

That was the only word which slipped out her tongue . She behaved hardly affected from outside,  but deep down she was  going through something else .

' jaa raha hoon tumse dhoor 'his voice echoed in her ears continuously.

Even pinky had left since only one was allowed to stay with the patient at night  .

Currently annika was  going through the pictures in the laptop which he had certainly carried here to complete some office work. But his wife literally snatched it from him saying that she was insanely bored .

A- wow ! When was this ?

She exclaimed pointing an image on the screen while he sat closer and peeped to view the picture .

S- ye , this was during my school annual day dance competition. 

A- oh my god , look who's here !! Pinky aunty !

She grinned awide noticing a young pinky standing by the audience side and cheering for shivaay with some banner in her hands . " SHIVAAY -THE ROCKSTAR " it read . 

Shivaay blinked and gave a slow smile .

S- mom has her own ways to embarrass me you know?

A- that's so mean ,  she's awesome! Ohh ,ye kya ...sunflower boy !

In the next picture she laughed watching the small kid whom she knew was her prince who was   wrapped up in some green dress with big yellow petals round his face making up a cute sunflower .

S- there are so many sunflowers, how did you find me so quickly?

A- how can I not fi

Her words stopped right there in her throat when she turned to only feel him right on front of her face , just , just hardly any inches away . That's when both certainly realized how close they were seated , face to face , perfectly near. 

She almost forgot to even take a blink for the next few seconds when his blue orbs kind of looked so deep into her brown eyes making it very difficult for her to look anywhere else .

Without her own  knowledge she had began to inhale and exhale through her parted lips and felt his continuous breathe there , right there on her lips.

The tension was different . It was good infact. Both liked that. 

Falling weak in his enchanting sight she was the first to look down , paving way for her forehead to touch his chin softly. 

They could have easily pulled themselves back but they didn't.

They acted to remain a statue in that very same position .

S - shall I ask you one thing annika ?

She looked up at him  as if she approved.

S- why did you lie to uncle ? that I sent someone to pick you the other day ?

A- what will it have made you if I had said otherwise? I can't let you down .

She replied looking directly into his eyes while he had a light grin on his lips hearing it .

S- so  I believe you have forgiven me .

He spoke anticipating an reply soon . She smiled .

A- I agree that I was really upset with you , even now I am . But whatever it is , one thing I know for sure is that you didn't do anything deliberately.  You would never want to hurt me , so taking all this into consideration , maybe I'll forgive you soon . Annika can't be an angry monster with anyone , I hope you would have known that by now .

He looked surprised and just passed a small nod.

S - I hate to say this now  . I had even said this to you already but I just have to change the tense now I suppose. You deserved better .

A- you can't decide that !

Came her immediately reply within no time .

S- why me ?! Over all the other men you'd have met ?

He was desperate to know the answer from her .

A - you won't understand,  it's a girl thing . Jab tum khudko meri nazar se dekoge  then you'll know the answer . Such a treasurable...lovable material ho tum .

There appeared a soft smile on his face when she explained cupping his cheek .

How pure and true were her eyes that he can't find his way out after having deeply  drowned into them ! That effortlessly beautiful eyes of her's screamed what sort of intense emotions she had carried within  , for him .

" tum bi " he heard his inner voice .

He then soon pulled her into his embrace,  in his arms , surrendering himslef in her touch which alone can give him those ecstasy of feelings everytime . She was first surprised by his sudden action but gradually she did reciprocate the hug with her free  hand .

The Right One will love you the hardest when you need it the most 💘
