S- you weren't expressing , you weren't telling . You were blaming me ! My true emotions !

Hearing his shout she could only prolong looking away . Reason ain't his raged words rather his hurt reaction . She can't bring herself to see that .

Only then , the Doctor made her way inside the ward for the duo stopped their serious exchange of arguments for a moment .

' So Mrs. Annika , how are feeling now ?'

A- better , but will you mind if I demand painkillers ? My arm still aches.

Annika signified with a pain covered face which he noticed intently. What is he even doing? She's already in so much pain and he's just adding more burden by building such arguments with her . He regretted his deed .

' I shall prescribe one for you , but see to that it's used only when needed the most . Because I don't appreciate using painkillers regularly '

A- ok , I just forgot something. Thank you !

She smiled expressing her gratitude for which the Doctor shrugged.

Dr- I did my duty , if you really want to thank anyone then it's the people who helped you to reach here . Not everyone in today's world would volunteer to do that. And haan , even your husband, who donated his blood for you last night . You must thank him too .

As soon as annika heard the Doctor's words , she shot her vision on shivaay who was standing on the other side . He had a blank face while she gulped and wetted her lips , she felt guilty for not trusting his words . When the Doctor was about to leave annika remembered something and asked her to stop .

A- Dr , he's injured . Uske haath mei dressing karni hai .

When she admitted this , shivaay watched her once and sighed .

S- no Dr , it's ok . I'm fine .

' dikahiye tho sahi '

Involuntarily he brought his hand infront for the Doctor checked the wound and insisted that it should be treated. He agreed . All the while when his wound was being treated, he had his eyes fixed on annika who just rested quite, staring the ceiling blankly .

The Doctor left after completing the work, leaving the other two in lone.

After taking a few more minutes of doing nothing but staring at each other within tiny intervals, annika finally decided to speak.

A- thank you shivaay ,maybe you didn't know it was for me but you had helped .

S- see annika , I don't know what you think of me . You've turned to be so judgemental, it's ok ,maybe my behaviour has made you like that. But , sach sunogi?

Hearing her pretending to bring those formal words , he reacted immediately while she looked at him in confusion.

S- mei apni biwi ko bahuth pasand kartha hoon annika , don't ask me since when and how. Even I don't know that , kal raath tumhe aise haal mei dekkar....I, pagal hogaya tha mein . Yes , I committed mistake. I didn't believe the news when I recieved the call but it doesn't mean that I'm a heartless man with no feelings .

Annika's face already shrunk as small when she witnessed his glistened eyes which automatically brought a drop of tear flow from her brown orbs . She wiped it before it could run down and wet the pillow while still contributing to the emotional eyelock being shared with him .

That long moment was broken when annika's family for whom shivaay had called this morning rushed inside the ward .

M- annika , ye kya kar raka hai tum ?

An already worried Meena was totally shocked witnessing annika's traumatized state while Raghav silently held her hand and caressed her face gently with his eyes ready to pour down within any passing second .

A- papa , I'm fine . Maa se boliye na? Just external injuries hai, serious kuch bi nahi hai . Aur aapko yaad hai , when I was 8 you were guiding me to ride the bicycle and even then I had gone through a small sa accident ?Even kal raath it was the same spot in the main road , opposite to the RR bakery . Lagtha hai that is the most dangerous place where annika could be !

Her parents just chuckled hearing this story and prediction of her's while she smiled on succeeding to have somewhat diverted them . All the time she didn't spare a look on charu who stood beside Meena.

Charu herself knew this would happen . Indeed , she still gets goosebumps remembering the way annika glared her that day . It looked a dagger , a sharp one . She herself feels guilty for blabbering all that in the heat of the moment . Knowing her sister thoroughly , she can promise that annika can never do such things , especially matters concerning their parent's dignity . Never.

R- kaise huwa ye sab ? Matlab , I would have picked you if you had informed me once....?! Kyun shivaay ? If you couldn't come ,atleast you could have sent the driver to drop her right ? Kyaal rakna chahiye tha na tumhe ?

Starting his questions , he first targeted annika and then at shivaay with a displeased face . Shivaay was tongue tied .

Soon Raghav felt annika loosening her hand out of his grip to hold someone else's hand who stood beside him. It was shivaay's . Clutching to his hand , she signalled him to be quite.

A- papa , he did send the car but before that I left Eli's house . He's not at fault.

Shivaay pressed his lips and turned looking away when she defended him while Raghav smiled inwardly watching annika holding her husband's hand in firm. His daughter has grown so much. She's not the same baby girl now rather a grown up matured woman , shivaay's wife . He didn't have any sort of bitter feelings when she supported her husband , he was happy .

After sometime, shivaay saw annika conversing with her parents . She looked to have forgotten the whole world , just her parents and that's all she could feel .He decided to give them some space and walked outside the ward silently .

Charu who noticed this followed his back.

He stood there, leaning on the wall with his eyes closed and arms folded , like he was into some deep thoughts . It was only when charu touched his shoulder, he opened his eyes at her. Charu could easily guess that something was so bothering him .

C- you're ok shivaay ?

She asked being concerned when shivaay didn't take a second more to leap and share a light hug . Charu rubbed his back soothingly ,he fixed his chin on her shoulder and closed his eyes .

S- meine jaan boochke kuch nahi kiya hai charu .

As she heard his low voice, she became worried and pulled back to watch his deeply hurt face.

C- what happened shivaay ?

He took a few more seconds to hold up his troubled self before explaining everything while she looked at him in keen .

S- and then I thought she would have reached home safely , so I didn't believe...prank laga tha muje . What a mad I am !! ?

Charu held his hand with which he just hit his own forehead.

C- you know what shivaay ? It's me , it's always me because of whom you both end up fighting . I shouldn't have told such things the other day, somewhere or the other I myself am the reason for annika misunderstanding you .

Shivaay shook his head when charu completed.

S- nahi charu, I didn't mean to blame you .

C- I know , but I myslef am accepting this . Maybe annika thinks you're influenced by me because you're my friend.

S- not her fault, my behaviour was like that. I should have stood by her when you blamed her , galthi mera hai .

He looked to have accepted his mistake completely when charu let a weak chuckle .

C- galthi meri bhi hai , sorry bolna chahiye muje .

There arose a faint smile on his face , 'She'll come crying to apologise after doing everything, aisehi hai vo.' She knows her sister so very well , he thought.

When Raghav and Meena had gone to speak to the Doctor ,Charu silently sat on the stool near the bed with a plate noticing which annika turned away , twisting her lips.

A- insaan hoon mein ,for your kind information I've got two hands . Ek tho statue ho chukka hai par dusra , I can fly ten kites with this ! Dho muje.

Charu refused to pass the place when annika proclaimed and tried holding it with her left hand .

C- annika, don't be stubborn . Kalo .

Saying this she brought the spoon near annika's lips who had tightly gritt her teeth and closed her mouth , not leaving any chance for the spoon in . But charu being an even more determined head, just somehow pushed the spoon into her mouth .

A- hmmm ....!

Annika glared when she was forced to swallow the food watching which charu grinned after blinking twice just to annoy her dear sister.

Just then shivaay came inside .

S- annika, I'm going home. Got to bring some clothes for you . Aur charu, the medicines are kept here .

Charu nodded to him while annika was still not out of the fact that he was actually holding her shoulder in sideways all this time . This gesture from him already made her face lean by him on his abdomen . Very close .

He then made her drink some water while she was certainly bewildered, ' how did he know that I was thirsty?' She almost froze when he mumbled a ' take care 'and planted a kiss on her temple before he left . It felt so usual , like as if he was practised doing that. Chewing the food slowly , she kept watching his retreating figure .

Only when she felt the spoon invading her mouth again , she came back to this world .

She then noticed charu tracing the wounded spot over her knee in concern.

C - yahan bi stitches ki hai kya ?

Annika shook her head lightly when charu watched her for a second before forwarding to hug .

A- ahh ! Charu fractured arm hai ye .

Hearing her wince she immediately changed position and leaned onto the other side and kept saying sorry for annika smiled leaving a deep sigh . After sometime , she pulled back to face her.

C- I know , I shouldn't have said that. Sorry .

A- wah! Behna tho jyothish nikli. You knew but you said !

Charu frowned at her mocking tone and annika narrowed her eyes .

C - even you leave no chance to annoy me , you know ? You were the one who lied to me that day .

A- what else can I do ? Tum ho stupid , kuch samaj nahi aathi tumhe .

C- even you aren't any big master in this topic ok ! Tum bi stupid ho .

A - mind your words madam, I still haven't forgiven you .

C- kuch bi , but I have to admit that with shivaay ,you still haven't been able to understand him properly.

Hearing his name annika's reaction changed slowly .

A- matlab?

C - maybe he leastly expresses , but being his friend I can clearly see the change in him . He seems more like annika's husband than charu's friend now . You affect him so much , bahut easily hurt hojatha hai vo agar vaja tum ho . His feelings for you are true annika . Trust me.

Watching annika's face ,charu could easily make out that she was engrossed in deep thoughts.

A- do you think that, shivaay loves me ?

Charu just smiled listening this.

C- pyaar...?! I don't think I know the answer for this. All I know is, shivaay really cares for you. Your every opinion about him matters so much for him. Believe me, you posses a great impact on him.

There appeared a small smile on annika's face without even her own knowledge listening to charu's promising words .

It was noon  .

Annika kept on having visitors. Just when her parents left to bring some lunch for her, she already found pinky along with shivaay. Main point is the basket which pinky carried . That contained full of eatables. Being a patient isn't that bad , she smiled.

Charu and pinky greeted each other formally . It's the first time they're facing each other after the wedding fiasco. Charu decided not to speak much now while pinky was all set to shoot questions and scold annika .

P- bachi ho tum? Can't you be careful while crossing the road ?

Annika frowned and pushed the nurse who was dressing the wound on her forehead a little away so that she could watch Pinky's face clearly.

A- aunty, even I've learnt all the traffic rules in my childhood. Andhi hoon kya mein ? Carrying that much weight on me and walking was itself like a ton task , but I did manage to walk somehow. You should appreciate me for that actually. Pata nahi, some idiot just rode like a fast occurring lightning and pushed me on the road. Koi drunk and drive case hoga. I hope I get to slap that idiot once in my life !

When Annika completed her narration ,the nurse almost looked horrified by now that she didn't waste any second before enquiring.

' didn't you take your medicines? '

S - what? Annika , did you take them?

Shivaay who stood near her immediately questioned. Annika looked horror stricken.

A- God ! I took them. All those mega sized tubes and balls !! Charu bol na? Nurse, consider my sister as the eye witness.

C - haan. I gave her the medicines.

' tho phir, she must have already felt drowsy and slept by now.But she looks completely opposite, all fresh and fine. Tired bilkul nahi lag rahi , aur baathein bi bahut kar rahi hai '

Shivaay almost cracked up, he just turned away suppressing his emerging laugh. This girl takes no time to suprise everyone with her chatterbox skills . Poor nurse must have thought that the Doctor had given some other wrong prescriptions.

A- ohh that ! Maybe you forgot to stitch this cut on my face.

She stated this pretending to zip her mouth watching which the others just smiled, including the nurse. This patient is a different one , the nurse knew .

P- if you keep continuing like this, I'm sure the nurse will have no choice rather to do that only ! Sleep now.

Pinky ordered making a strict tone .

Annika quietly emptied the remaining juice and looked around to keep the bottle somewhere when shivaay bent to take it from her soon. He then helped her lay on the bed properly so that she gets a small good nap until lunch time.

When charu came back to the ward from the restroom, she just stood halfway watching the scene inside . A pleasant smile captured her face, she decided to stay outside for sometime.

But just then she saw pinky arriving there after getting some things from the pharmacy. Before she could enter inside, charu stopped her.

C- uhh aunty,

P- kya huwa charu?

C - vo, actually I wanted to apologize to you personally. Uss din,

She halted her words when pinky touched her shoulder .

P- I know what had happened with you that day , you couldn't have done anything . So don't apologize. It's good for all of us that we forget everything. Hmm?

Charu just smiled and let a nod listening to her but once again pinky looked confused when she stopped her from entering inside .

P- ab kya huwa?

C - you slipper looks so fancy aunty, where did you get this?

P- huh?

That sudden sweet tone of charu did alarm pinky. Without listening to her talks she peeped inside through the slightly opened door .

Soon there was cute smile on pinky's face when she looked back at charu who had the same kind of reaction.

P- charu, suddenly coffee peene ka man kar raha hai muje. Chalein?

Charu chuckled noticing the way pinky pretended and immediately replied.

C - I was certainly going to ask you the same aunty. Muje bi coffee chahiye , chalthey hain !

Both  left from there with a sheepish smile on their faces .

A private space was required for the couple inside, which they just got !

As shivaay leaned close to leave a kiss on her chin just above the wound, she slightly moved her face in sleep feeling his poking stubble , which gradually let his lips touch the edge of her's a bit . He did feel that but it didn't posses much of his attention now . All he could think and pray for is that she recovers soon.

He sat on the bed close to her, and did nothing but kept watching her only. Being extremely slow and soft, he worked on those hair strands which looked a mess on her face as she hasn't combed her hair properly since yesterday.

There was a slow smile which arose on his face watching her sleeping peacefully.

Right then their arguments popped his mind suddenly to pull  away that smile.

S- I'm sorry , for everything. I'll try my best to not hurt you anymore .

He whispered watching her with atmost concern surrounded in his eyes.

Exactly after 30 minutes annika slightly moved her pupils inside her eyes feeling some kind of sensation beneath her neck . She opened her eyes only to witness him lying beside her on the bed , into his deep sleep . His head fixed on her left shoulder for his breath to hit her skin directly all the time .

Well , he wasn't exactly lying on the bed though . Just his body rested on the cot while both his legs were still hanging out . That's really an uncomfortable position for a good sleep . But he does look fine and so engrossed in his nap . Maybe he is tired, she did guess it through his eyes even back then . Poor he , hadn't slept last night .

She smiled watching the cute him .

A- hello , Mr. Shivaay Singh Oberoi ! This isn't your dinosaur type giant bed , it's a damn single cot man .

She whispered slowly to only feel his grip around her stomach tightening more. That's exactly when she realized that he had her captured in his hold .

Her smile faded away when his wounded hand fell on her sight . He really seemed strong when she tried to pull his hand which was around her stomach , but she somehow managed to do that. Bringing it close to her face , she noticed those blood stains still visible on that white bandage .

A- kabi mat sochna ki tumhe mujse dhoor rakna aur tumhe dard mei dekna mere liye aasan hai .

She spoke looking at the sleeping him before kissing his wounded hand a numerous times.

I lost my way all the way to you and in you I found all the way back to me💘
