"The Kings of the World are here! Kneel, you peasants!" Justin shouted as he entered the dining room.

It was another one of our Mathews family dinner nights. We had one every month and each of us is required to attend it, the only exception being Brandon. But this month, even Brandon was here.

Justin followed by Ryder, who was holding their two year old son, Jasper, in his arms.

Ryder and Alex broke up after dating for six months. Justin was at his college for an exchange program, two months later. And that's how they ended up together. They got married two years before my wedding and a year later, they adopted their son, Jasper.

My ex-boyfriend marrying my brother was not at all weird. Not the sarcasm.

But I got over it. Who was I to come in the middle of love?

"Who made you the Kings of the world? There is only one King. And that is this little guy!" Nathan said, as we made his way towards Ryder and took a very eager Jasper from his arms.

Nathan was his favorite uncle after all.

"I don't know why he likes you so much. I am way better." Jonah said, entering the room, giving Justin and Ryder a side hug.

"No one can beat me." I shrugged as Jasper extended his hands towards me. I just kissed him on his cheek and went back to setting the dinner table.

"Hey sis. How are you?" Jonah asked me as he engulfed me into a bear hug. "How is morning sickness?"

I was still yet to tell my family about me being pregnant. And I was going to tell them today. I still don't know how they still haven't noticed my growing belly. I guess I have been doing a good job at hiding it with baggy clothes. Plus, my brothers have no brains.

"Well, it could be worse." I shrugged. That's when I noticed something wrong with Jonah. I gave him a questioning look.

"What?" He tried to act clueless. I just raised my eyebrows. " Ugh! Fine! I can never hide anything from you."

"It's about Kayla, isn't it?" I asked.

"Yeah. We broke up again." He stated.

The mystery girl Kayla was actually Jonah's secret crush. They had met when Jonah was in Australia. She was working as a lifeguard at one of the beaches.

They have been in an on-off relationship for years now. They break up at very silly things and get back together the next week.

"Yeah. She thinks I am cheating on her." He told me.

"What did you do to make her think that?" I asked.

"I was just ignoring her. But I have a reason." As he said that, he pulled out a velvet box and opened it. Inside was a beautiful diamond ring, which made me gasp.

"I was going to ask her to marry me. I knew I couldn't keep it a secret if I talked to her. I wanted it to be a surprise." He stated.

"Just do your thing and I am pretty sure she will forgive you once she knows the whole story. She would probably even say yes." I shrugged.

"What do you mean 'probably'? Do you think she will say 'no'?" He frantically asked.

"Of course not. She will definitely say yes." I mentally face-palmed at my poor choice of words. Before he could say anything, he was interrupted by a set of fast footsteps.

"Aunty Val!" I heard Luna's cute voice as she ran into the room and wrapped her small arms around my legs.

"Luna! I told you to stop running away from us like that." Zoe said as she entered the room with Brandon. Zoe got pregnant with Luna after a drunk one night stand with Brandon. Brandon was supportive of her in each and every way possible. Two years after Luna was born, they both got married.

"Hey sis!" Brandon said, engulfing me in a hug. Well, trying to. He was pushed away by Luna.

"Aunty Val is mine." She shouted at Brandon. He just chuckled as he went and greeted the others.

"Hey girl!" Zoe tried to hug me but was again pushed away by Luna. I just picked Luna in my arms and gave Zoe a side hug.

"Hey you! How are you?" I asked her.

"I'm good. Wait- is something up with you?" She asked me.

"No?" I immediately said. I don't know whether it was a female instinct or something but I knew she knew that I was pregnant.

Thankfully, before she could ask any questions, she was interrupted by Luna. "Pops!" She cheered as she got down and ran towards my dad, who had just arrived. Behind him was Christian, who had gone to pick him up. He always did that for every family night.

He made his way over to me and pecked my lips. "I brought wine." He stated. I raised my eyebrows. "And juice." He chuckled.

I also went and greeted my dad.

Everyone sat at the table as Christian poured wine for everyone. Everyone except me.

Brandon was first to notice this detail. "Why are you not drinking wine?" He asked, making everyone's heads turn towards me.

"Because it's bad for the babies." I shrugged.

"What babies?" Nathan stupidly asked.

"My babies." I shrugged. Zoe was first to realize what I was talking about.

"You're pregnant?" She immediately asked.

"No. I'm Valerina. You guys already know that." I smirked and I heard Christian chuckle.

"Are you seriously saying that after what you just told us?" Ryder stated.

"Yes. She's pregnant. We are pregnant." Christian chuckled. And the whole room got filled with noises.

Everyone congratulated us and Nathan and Justin glared at Cristian. I guess they haven't gotten over the fact that I am a married woman.

And as I looked around the table and saw everyone's happy faces, I knew we were going to be just fine.

I never expected my life to turn out the way it did. It wasn't perfect. But it was my life. And it was amazing. I would never change a single thing in it.

After all, life is just about stars aligning perfectly and hearts being mended.

Life is just Hearts and Stars.
