Chapter Two
You Truly are A Ray Of Sunshine

3rd Person POV

ronnie and tess stood next to each other as they watched ella and
peggy hug the others. ronnie nudged tess and she looked at her

" caitlyn and mitchie? right" ronnie whispered and tess nodded

"yeah" she replied

"hey tess?" she began

"yeah ron?" tess led off

"you know how i hate being left out of things?" ronnie asked and tess turned her head to her

"you've mentioned" tess said shortly

"yeah well right now is one of those moments, wanna butt in?"
she asked and tess nodded

"we have to at some point" tess said and they grabbed each other's hands as mitchie and caitlyn turned to them with smiles as the conversation died down

"well.. i guess no one cares about my life" tess spoke and ronnie ran her thumb over her finger

"what don't we know? i mean you update your status like every two seconds, wait a minute, ronnie" caitlyn said and ronnie let go of tess's hand as she walked over to mitchie and allison walked over to ronnie

"hi" she said softly and caitlyn wrapped her in a hug

" i really missed you" caitlyn spoke and ronnie nodded her head against caitlyn's shoulder softly

"i missed you too" she said and caitlyn pulled away as she put her hands on her shoulders and looked her over

"you've changed" caitlyn said and ronnie nodded

"i have, you did too" she exclaimed and caitlyn smiled

"but you're still the same old ronnie" she stated and ronnie nodded happily

"i try to be" she spoke and they looked over at tess and mitchie

"i have a question and it's for mitchie" tess exclaimed and ronnie shook her head with a smile

"for me?" mitchie said

"so, what's going on with you and shane?" tess asked and ronnie chuckled under her breathe

"nothing is going on" mitchie said

"that's a total lie" caitlyn countered

"yeah i don't know you that well but i definitely know about that" ronnie said as she now stood next to tess again

"you guys are obsessed" mitchie said and they all laughed

"no, seriously. i don't know, i just... i feel like if we never get to spend any time together, then... nothing is ever gonna happen" mitchie sighed and ronnie nodded

"yeah it depends on time and happiness" ronnie said and they smiled at her

"you truly are a ray of sunshine" mitchie spoke

"i try to be" ronnie exclaimed and she walked back over to her bunk as she actually set her stuff up

"okay guys why is it dead?" ronnie asked from her bunk

"yeah where is everybody?" caitlyn agreed

"i know, right? there's barely anybody out there" mitchie exclaimed and ronnie hopped down from her bunk again

"i sure hope you've got something we can do at opening jam" peggy exclaimed

"opening jam?" ronnie questioned

"oh yeah, the first big performance of camp, kind of kicks everything off" tess exclaimed and ronnie nodded

"makes sense, so mitchie do you have something?" ronnie asked as she turned her attention to her

"kind of. maybe. sort of. i don't know, i..." mitchie led off

"sing it" ronnie and tess said together

"can we hear it?" ella said with caitlyn and peggy

"uh, okay. it's not finished" she said

"that's fine, come on mitchie" ronnie exclaimed

"it's not anything special" mitchie tried

"yeah i say that all the time about my songs" she spoke and they all giggled

"come on!" ella said with caitlyn

"alright" mitchie said and she looked at her song book

'last years old news,
i'm breaking my six-string
and playing from my heart' she sang and ronnie smiled

"beautiful mitchie truly" she said as the others praised her too

"really? thank you. that's all i got so far. i have a lot of lyrics but the musics not really worked out yet" mitchie said

"oh. maybe we could just sing that first part over and over again"
ella said and she smacked her forehead

"that's it" mitchie aajd

"really? nobody ever agrees with me" ella said and ronnie smiled as they walked out of the cabin to see people sitting on the steps

"barron! sander!" mitchie said and she ran over hugging them

"hey, what's up?" he said as they all smiled

"play it again" mitchie said as they all sat down

"for you mitchie, anything, let's rock" he said and ronnie smiled as she sat next to tess and listened with a smile. she watched as she sang and followed after her when she stood. ronnie sat down as she watched

she didn't know any of the lyrics or the dancing. she ran after the others

"oh god so much running" she groaned out in pain as she followed after them with a smile. she watched tess with a smile. they ran to the stage and watched as mitchie got on the stage

"oh wow" she exclaimed as she looked down at the kid next to her and she smiled

"maybe it is a good thing" she said as she ran a hand through her hair and she put it up. she watched as brown ran up on the stage

"yes! all right! mitchie torres! returning rocket! yes! welcome to the heart and soul of rock and roll. wether you're slick and happening or dark and jamming, camp rock is the place to be! yeah! all right" brown exclaimed

"you're ronnie lake right?" the kid next to her asked and she looked down at him with a smile

"i am, it's nice to meet you" she said as she noticed the camera pointed at her and waved

"nice to meet you too" he said and they turned back to look at brown

"now i'm sure you've notice that there aren't quite as many of you as in years past, but not to worry..." brown said and they heard a car horn

"shane!" mitchie said

"rockers, my nephews and camp rock alum, they're known to the world as connect three" brown spoke and ronnie looked at mitchie and then shane who had a rooster on his head

"shane, are you all right?" mitchie asked

"yeah i'm fine, surprise" shane spoke but ronnie was looking at his brother who was looking at her

"jason who's that?" nate whispered as he looked at ronnie

"ronnie lake, daughter of nicole and shawn lake" jason spoke and nate nodded

yeah this summer wouldn't be bad for him not at all
