Chapter 2
I sat down in the principals office, wondering what would my mom say to me, when the principal, Mr. Sola, asked me a question. " What happened that you are here, you aren't the kind who gets in trouble." Right then Mr. Yemen walked in and explained what happened. " Oh, I see." Said Mr. Sola. " But is it worth calling her parents?" Mr. Sola asked. " Well, if she keeps on daydreaming, she will not focus in my class. I don't want her to keep it up." Mr. Yemen stated. As Mr. Sola called my mom, I worried that if I told her that I was daydreaming about the science fair, that she would ground me so I won't go. Later, my mom entered the room. " What happened?" My mom asked me. " Well, Mr. Yemen told us about the science fair, and I was thinking about what to do..." " But she wasn't paying attention when I was calling attendance. I asked if she was here, and she answered with h2o." Mr. Yemen said " Oh, Jane. You can't just focus on the science fair all day, you have to focus on your work." My mom pointed out. " Yes, I know, I just love the science fair, and I want to try and Win first place." I said kinda sadly. " Maybe if you are grounded, you won't think about it. You are not allowed to think about the science fair until you focus in class better. If you don't, you won't enter the science fair." Noooo!! I hated that she had put that against me. She knew I wasn't that good at focusing and taking notes when it comes to the science fair. So I had to do the one thing I would never had wanted to do, and it was to put the science for behind me until my grounding is done. Which, by the way may take forever. I felt like I was going to lose it right there, cause the science fair is like my life. So i said OK and walked out of the principles office.
